And no Cain. With a fly ball reliever up. I need a crash helmet for this ride. -
CC tossed after the most effete hook I’ve ever seen from an ump. If you’re going to do it, then mean it, blue. Give the people a show.
-
Uh, so he blocked the plate, right?

Lo Cain: 3-run bomb. Pressure release valve: activated. Make it happen.

C'mon dad, it's the weekend! No. Kids need their bedtime, and Dad needs his dad time. You don’t mess with dad time.

The cheese gets binding all of a sudden.

That was an uninspiring effort by the top of the order.

Last time he tried that, it did not go well.

[sarcasm]Maybe the Rockies are interested in a SS swap?[/sarcasm]

Man, those were two consecutive strike calls on Shaw that were utter trash. Give the poor guy a break.

Good thing 4/5ths of our staff is made up of guys who are just happy to be here.

Time for the Freddy Peralta experience.

Man, five more innings to cover is an eternity. Kinda thinking 1-0 isn’t going to be the final here.

It’s nice that Cubs-cards is an hour ahead of us. Maybe that will help with bullpen decision making.

Hiura, Moose, Grandal, Cain—they got this. No worries, peeps. -
Heck yeah, brother. It almost makes it worth it rostering the worst hitter in the live ball era all season. Almost.

CC to his credit has not been this bone-headed all month until now! Crazy, crazy, boneheaded mismanagement tonight! It's infuriating! Nauseating! Devastating! I am not understating! Ha, well, I guess that’s the best concession I’m likely to get tonight. In turn, I’ll acknowledge the Matthew reference may have been a bit heavy-handed. I just think it’s odd to overlook the mistakes of the pitchers in this instance and blame the manager, when you want to give the players all the credit for the wins this month and give CC none. Seems a bit odd. But we can all be forgiven for in-game emotionalism. We’ve all been there.

Oy! We're talking baseball, right? I don't worship CC. When he messes up, he needs to be called out! Who claimed his bullpen moves worked tonight? I bet if you asked him, he’d admit as much. That isn’t at issue here. What is at issue here is your unbelievable position that the man apparently has nothing to do with one of the greatest month-long stretches in franchise history. Is it your assertion that all managers only negatively impact the outcomes of games, or does only CC bear that dishonorable distinction?

Ok, this is getting a little much. Maybe he’ll get on that apology when you send him a hand-written thank you card for the whole month of September. Get real. Such a card would go to the players, period. neither cast ye your pearls before swine
