  1. No Love, no surprise. James Jones was saying pregame that he came back from an MCL after just one week and had permanent nerve damage as a result, so, take your time, Jordan!
  2. But why aim so low? We could consider that the Brewers have scored more than 4 runs a total of 69 times so far this year, which is a whopping 46.9% of their games! That’s a lot of days where the offense wasn’t the problem.
  3. Mike Trout is unreal. 30HR/49SB guy as a 20 year old in 2012. Oh, and he went on to have 8 more years that were better than that in his career. Did you know he could have been a Brewer…🥲
  4. It seems Canha and Encarnacion are still professional hitters.
  5. The Diamondbacks pitching isn’t anything to write home about. Over 7 games, I’d expect us to be able to score a few runs (as I attempt to speak offense into existence, as the kids say). The key is going to be keeping their bats at bay. If our pitching is as good as I think it can be, this should be a great test.
  6. Well, that was certainly the Devin Williams experience again tonight, but good to be back in the win column, baby!
  7. Yeah, I am dumbfounded at the insistence on Malik Willis as the preferred backup. What an absolutely damning indictment to Clifford's abilities if he can't beat out a guy who hasn't even been here a month. If week 1 looked ugly, we may need new vocabulary for week 2. I guess we can only hope we find a way to win ugly.
  8. That seems…borderline insane? I mean, yeah, 70%, maybe even 60% of Love is better than anything else we’ve got, and I know it’s his front leg, but if he’s a statue back there and the line struggles again, look out. Not sure I want to rush the franchise back quite that soon unless he’s got a decent amount of mobility. I think they have a shot at this thing Sunday even with Cliff under center, and 0-2 isn’t fatal, especially in a 17-game season. But I guess we’ll see. I’m still thinking smoke screen here. We’ve played a lot of injury games with guys like Aaron Jones and Christian Watson, and this feels like more of the same.
  9. Let’s say he misses 6 games. That or anything more, I’d say take your lumps, draft high, and bankroll cap space for next year. Tannehill probably wants $10 mil and would have the packers over a barrel. I’d rather have the space and know exactly what we need on defense to make the new scheme work and on the o-line to be full go for next season. If Love is supposed to miss four or five games, then maybe Tannehill becomes appealing. If it’s two or three, roll the dice on what you’ve got in-house and hope you steal a win somewhere.
  10. If Hafley doesn’t pan out, LaFleur may be headed back to the west coast soon enough. I think it is as simple as that.
  11. Yeah, Walker and the RGs all looked like liabilities, which is a problem, because our best alternative option at LT is Morgan who was playing *checks notes* right guard… I have seen this team make crème brûlée out of crumbs on the offensive line enough times to not panic yet, but that is the number one thing that has to change between now and next week. If Love dodged a bullet (and I’m cautiously optimistic) he won’t be able to for long if they don’t get it fixed immediately.
  12. Yeah, my take is still if Love misses a game or two at worst, they’ll still make the postseason. This game was frustrating, but I baked that into the cake going into this thing. This team, if healthy, is going to be far and away different by December. But it’s going to come down to the state of 10’s leg. Everything else is correctable.
  13. The fact that Love isn’t on a cart right now is potentially huge
  14. The one thing that just couldn’t happen, may have just happened.
  15. Why not another mental error? The more the merrier
  16. Hurts pretty crummy day at the office, too
  17. I still expected the D to struggle. The offense has no excuse not to have 40+ on the board right now. Last year, the D kept the team afloat a bit while the offense found its legs. Offense has to return the favor now. Do your jobs.
  18. So, we won’t be giving Quay another contract, right?
  19. Stokes has played well tonight, but that ain’t a matchup he’s likely to win. Not many corners would.
  20. Don’t like Enagbare out there in a critical series like this
  21. Weird time to start getting ticky tack. Zebras gonna zebra I guess
