  1. Secondary plays great all game, falling apart now
  2. Kind of wish we had something more special there, but not sure what our playbook looks like with this personnel.
  3. So, about those time outs…
  4. YES! What a performance. Dominant ground game, and to do it when the defense knows you can’t stretch the field? Heck of a job.
  5. Frocking time outs. Come on
  6. Wasn’t going to be easy.
  7. I have loved everything about this game except the injuries. Heck if a game plan, and mostly excellent execution so far. Gotta finish now.
  8. Nice product you got there, NFL. Thursday night games, guys going down to injury left and right, just a swell sight. Thanks.
  9. The shine is coming off the Kyle Shanahan narrative awfully quickly, I think. It’s kind of like 80% of a coach’s ultimate reputation boils down to QB1…
  10. How fitting would it be to watch Mike McCarthy’s team end Aaron Rodgers’ Packers career after Rodgers ended McCarthy’s Packer career? I mean, hopefully not like that, but either way it goes, it would be some classic NFL Films type stuff.
  11. Packers-Cowboys in the Divisional Round this year. Book it.
  12. I can see why the Panthers want to corner the market on all the available players in the secondary. They’re kind of hot garbage back there.
  13. My understanding is that Haines is Yelich’s guy, since they go way back. I will not speculate as to whether or not that had anything to with his hire and/or his retention. What I will say is that the results certainly don’t seem to indicate that being handpicked by the positional cornerstone of the franchise is enough all by itself to justify his tenure. I have been fired. It sucks, and I’m not calling for any job losses here. I also think it is difficult for fans to realistically and accurately assess any coaching, we simply don’t see enough of what goes into the job to get a fair picture. But I will say this: in terms of the offensive staff, I really hope there are a lot of incredible things they’re doing outside the lines that we don’t see on game day.
  14. Came here to say just this. I appreciate this community a lot, even in the dark times. Here’s hoping we all find better things:
  15. To be fair, with today’s zone, that would have been called a ball to Freeman, but still..,
  16. ok then............... Approach does not equal mechanics, and neither necessarily equals results. It’s a worthwhile observation though, if we’re trying to figure out what is wrong with the highly-paid cornerstone of the franchise.
