  1. I would now do a double switch leave Hart in the game and put the pitcher in Lee's spot in the lineup. Hart's D >>> Lee's D. Yes but Ned is smart enough to know that Kolb was going to implode, and that way he still has his power stick for the extra frames, if we get that far.
  2. Uecker: "LEE...and this is a game." To Heck with you AND your dirty Gotee, Danny.
  3. Thank you Billy. Now I can blame our bullpen instead of Moeller if we lose this one. Wait, I'd still blame Moeller - it's just easier. Edit: Although Kolb is quickly making his case...
  4. I stand on Ned's side allowing Cappy to try and go the distance. That's part of baseball. Anyone who has played the game as a pitcher would know what that's like. You appreciate things like that. Amen. I totally agree that anyone who has played the game knows that you don't take a guy out there when he's earned to pitch into the 9th. Psychologically, pitchers wouldn't be the same if they knew that hands down, everytime, they would always be yanked at 100, 105, 108 pitches. These guys are not robots.
  5. Man you realize how young Prince really is when he does these interviews. Kashon doesn't help things much with his answerless questions...
  6. Did it actually look "DL" bad IMO No. It was a semi-solid line drive that looked like it caught him right on the front of the forearm just below the elbow, so knock on wood that there's plenty of meat there to absorb it.
  7. On a side note, Jaque Jones is hitting .291? Yuck.
  8. Capuano still out there? I don't know about the thinking behind this. I think I would have taken him out after a hit, but as pointed out before, pitch counts that go over 100, 110 once in a while is a non issue. As I'm typing this, he gets hit in the ARMhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif , he better be alright. This would be the most ironic and ridiculous ending to this game if he's hurthttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  9. and Derrick Lee = anything that remotely resembles offense for the chubs.
  10. And oh, remember in the offseason when all of us said that him winning 18 games was just a fluke type deal and he probably wouldn't win 15 this year? Yeah I think we were wrong. I don't enjoy patting myself on the back, but I never held this belief. I think there were a few people who recognized that Capuano definitely has the dictionary defintion of "intangibles" that are transforming him into a dominating starter. In the beginning of 2005, I was of the opinion that Capuano would become a more reliable starter than Sheets (I have a problem with complete distrust of power arms). Unfortunely, the last year or so it appears I was right. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif But good for Chris, he's definitely fun to watch out there.
  11. Jenkins, um WOW. I do love when he plays like he's 20 out there. On a side note, is it possible to have Capuano be our 5th starter as well? I'm serious.
  12. What is Carlos "I wear my sunglasses at night" Lee doing? Is this a new Ricky Vaughnesque fashion statement? I don't like it.
  13. Nice work Gabe! Does Brady catch that? Hell no. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Is it raining in KC tonight? I thought I heard Uecker say something along the lines that he hopes we have baseball tonight...
  15. I honestly would have looked better in that strikeout than Jenkins did. Is this game on MLBTV?
  16. God bless walks. Most exciting play in baseball.
  17. Or is everyone holding their breath waiting for the wheels to fall off? http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c3/Riebes/jpr.jpg
  18. So what's the over/under on how many games we have to be below .500 to start moving pieces, i.e. Lee, Clark, or Jenkins? I hope it doesn't get this bad, but I'm gonna say about 8 below on July 1st.
  19. Koskie may be in the hospital before this one is over - I think the next one might go through him.
  20. The 7 and 8 hitters are 18-22 in this series. That's freaking insanity. How is that possible? Add the fact that Sean Casey and Jack Wilson are second comings of Christ, and this has all the makings of a "kick me in the sac" series.
  21. Is Koskie allergic to home plate? That's ridiculous. I'm sorry, but as soon as that ball is over Dunn, he should have plenty of time to score.
  22. You mean game time?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. Wasn't Ross DFA'd by the Dodgers in Spring Training? Too bad we signed Moeller so early on, because this guy would have been quite a bit better.
  24. Sooo, Hendrickson changed numbers, shaved his head, grew some facial hair, and jacked up his socks? I thought we sent you down!
  25. You can close the book on Hendrickson [covers mic] THANK GOD.
