  1. Call it a dumb question, but why does Yelich need a 'scheduled day off'. Cal Ripken never needed them, nor did a lot of other all time greats that played 160+ games a year.
  2. Just got home, but what in the hell is this lineup? Why is CC benching half our starters right now at the same time?
  3. Brewers 1-6 OPS' Grandal .870 Yelich 1.157 Braun .805 Moose .895 Hiura .986 Thames .893 That's LETHAL.
  4. I know Flower Mound. I'm in College Station finishing my masters degree, then moving to Dallas in December. What’s the freaking deal with your cheerleaders. That’s some weird stuff down there Texas A&M has a saying, "From the outside looking in, you'll never understand it. From the inside looking out, you can't explain it". In other words we're basically a cult
  5. I know Flower Mound. I'm in College Station finishing my masters degree, then moving to Dallas in December.
  6. Off the top of my head, the only guy I can think of is Pudge Rodriguez. The Tigers experimented with it, albeit briefly, in 2007 and '08. It got some weird coverage down here in Texas. After he left the Rangers, the media had this weird fixation with him. Piazza never did it. Buster Posey has never done it, either. It's a real rarity. Interesting...also are you living in Texas as well? Nice to see another Texas Cheesehead!
  7. I disagree. The Brewers roster has two types of players...players under achieving and players achieving what’s expected of them. There really isn’t anyone overachieving, which shows you were better than we’ve been playing. Edit) the one player you might say is exceeding expectations is Thames
  8. I've been saying this for awhile. he should be the aggressor and go out and fix the problem NOW. Why even tempt fate at the possibility it could spiral out of control by then?? Why not try to stop it NOW before it ever gets to that point. The market for quality relief pitchers looking to be sold by sub par teams is not compatible to that of stating pitching or big name bats. You don’t have to hand over an arm and a leg to get some guys better than we have now, it’s no Machado level deal like we were considering last July. I’m fine with moving a few prospects to get a guy like Will Smith because I feel like we’re already set for the foreseeable future and don’t need to focus as much on the farm as in years past. We need some reinforcements, maybe not Will Smith level, but guys that can generally get the job done. We didn’t give up much for Soria?
  9. I don’t like Stearns strategy right now. He said he wants to see how the next two weeks play out before he makes a decision on moves...you can’t win games when your good relievers only pitch when you’re ahead and when you’re behind you give it over to awful arms. Yes I get we have a shortage of quality arms..that’s why we uh, get some?
  10. Shaw doesnt send Saladino down. We have no back up SS if we send Saladino down. We dont even have a guy who is kind of a SS. Jay Jackson then maybe?
  11. Speaking of players that are starting to come around, Travis Shaw is absolutely tearing it up in Triple-A right now. I know we've seen a lot of players not translate Triple-A success to the big leagues, but since Shaw isn't really a prospect or an up-and-comer, it might time to bring him up and drop Saladino back to the minors. At this point I'd rather have Shaw than Saladino.
  12. Is it weird that I forget Chacin is a Brewer when he's not pitching? He started off horrible and has been just kind of there ever since.
  13. I'd be fine with Hiura batting leadoff honestly.
  14. Probably not as many as Texas ball clubs lol
  15. It’s been going on for about 15 years I think and still nobody has won. One guy was at 51 last week and lost...can you imagine how much he must hate the guy that made it end!? My best was 14 this year, Austin meadows ruined it
  16. Does anyone else on here play beat the streak? If so, what’s the farthest you’ve ever gotten?
