This is extremely random, but I just checked the Missions box score to see how Shaw was doing and we have some catcher who’s hitting .375 in almost 200 at bats names David Freitas. Apparently we picked him up this year from Seattle. Possible replacement for Pina without hindering Nottingham’s development? Thoughts?

Does this mean that if someone thinks a thing isn't perfect they don't like it at all? That's..... very odd thinking. I’m not saying it’s perfect. I’m saying I love the imperfections. Using electronic technology has changed the game tremendously already with instant replay. I’m not a fan of altering the game, period. Since the dead ball era, very little has changed beyond changing the mound height and adding the DH (which I don’t like either). Taking away arguing calls and replacing it with a perfect system would take away the fun of debating them, which you might not find important but I do.

If you can’t fully enjoy the game the way it is, you’re not a baseball fan. Arguing calls is part of baseball. People that complain about it are the reason a runner starts the inning at second base now in extras in the minors.

False, the sooner they leave baseball the exact same and stop changing the game the better Sorry, change is happening regardless of how much you may hate it. The game has been evolving and changing for 150 years and will continue to do so. Why not just watch robots play? Sounds fun.

The Brewers should target bringing Will Smith back at the deadline. He’s a rental in San Francisco and they’re not going anywhere, only making 4.25 million this year

Yea frankly I'm shocked they're in 1st. I guess the positive spin is that if they ever do get their head on straight they should win the division easily. Pina is great defensively, but I’d rather have Nottingham as our backup at this point.

Cain was one of the top WAR guys in baseball last year and now you don’t even want him in the lineup? His WAR is double that of Bryce Harper’s this season...

Thames has almost a .900 OPS, why is Davies not on this list, Braun has not been bad at all...Cain is still a well above average player. Jeffres? Bad post.

Don’t you think some of you are overreacting? The offense has honestly been pretty good this year and yeah we have a few guys that need to improve, but the season has a lot of baseball left. I for one have zero concerns about our lineup.

Is there a website somewhere that shows you what players are on pace for statistically? I remember fangraphs used to have one but now I can’t find it and I could’ve sworn it used to be on baseball reference also.
