  1. I assume he will survive the 40 man this off season and they'll make a decision during spring training, but he's out of options and his initial showing with the Brewers hasn't been impressive. He's the perfect candidate fro their pitching research facility in Arizona. The stuff is there. It's obvious. The command sucks. Let's hope! too bad he can't be on the 2020 shuttle squad. That looks like it might just be Devin Williams at this point. Burnes and Peralta could end up on it too.

  3. He might only be on the Brewers roster for 9 more games! Need to squeeze out every bit of production he has left!
  4. I actually would like to see Houser in the pen for the playoffs. I’m thinking a possible innings limit? I think he’s 20+ innings past his previous high right now. But also, with only needing 4-5 innings out of our starters anyhow, Woodruff Lyles and one of Davies Anderson should suffice in the DS. Houser would give us 3-4 strong out of the pen, giving us 2 pen arms(Suter)that can go more than 2. Ya I was giving this some thought when I was looking at how they might deploy the starters down the stretch with the off day and knowing they might need a tie breaker game on monday before a WC game on tuesday. I think if they get into the NLDS it might be good to have him available for 2 games out of the pen vs 1 start.
  5. That would be nice but very premature to think about that. The opponents next week are going to be tougher than the Padres and Pirates, especially some of those Reds pitchers. Not to mention the home field advantage for the WC game. That may go down to the end even if we clinch earlier than that. I want HFA for the wild card game if for no other reason than I want to go to the game!
  6. If we weren't there already, a Brewers win tonight make it a lot easier to root for the Cubs the rest of the weekend.
  7. The pirates line up is actually somewhat deep with decent hitters. They lack top end talent though (of course the brewers do too without yelich)
  8. Brault has pitched pretty well against the Brewers this season. 2.66 ERA in 20.1 IP. 4 starts. He's been bad in his past two starts though. Brewers really should be able to sweep this series given the way the Pirates have played in the second half and especially lately.
  9. I know this doesn't affect the Brewers, but the Yankees just won their 100th game and the ALE. How is it possible they haven't won the division since 2012? crazy.
  10. Big win today. I was hoping for 3/4 coming in assuming they'd get shut down by Paddack. Not going to lie... I'm expecting them to sweep Pittsburgh. That's a team just playing out the string.
  11. Ok, let's bring in Josh before this gets any worse.
  12. Rizzo back in the starting line up for the cubs tonight. Wasn't expecting that. they're getting kimbrel and russell back tonight too.
  13. Oddly enough I may have been most optimistic about adding Faria. He's been a total dud in limited opportunities though.
  14. Well maybe they'll all be fresh for tomorrow lol
  15. If this score holds are 3-1 I wonder how they'll try to piece together the last 3 innings. Pomeranz up for the 7th inning. Pomeranz for 2? Josh for 2? Suter in the 8th? Would be nice to have 1 of those 3 completely fresh for tomorrow.
  16. Freddy is an interesting choice vs Hosmer. Let's hope it works out. I understand they had to get someone up in a hurry, but Claudio probably could've gotten up too
  17. And just like that, lyles can't find the zone. darn
  18. It's been a pretty big zone outside of that one pitch from lyles for ball 4 in the first inning. Tough to complain too much. ok i take it back after that one lol.

  20. Got a break that we didn't get last night! lol
  21. Nice got them all. Who was the only San Diego MVP winner in franchise history? ken caminiti but it got stripped didn't it? Edit: idk why i thought it got stripped. maybe just the initially outrage after it came out that he was a roider.
  22. peavy is the only one i can think off off the top of my head
  23. It was very nice of braun to hit that on a 3-2 pitch so Moustakas could score,
