  1. Let’s go boys! Let’s shut em down Gio... let’s see some of that vintage action tonight!
  2. I was surprised as well, but he sure brought some electric stuff to the table last night. Talk about a confidence booster for a young pitcher...
  3. Gio is going to toss a gem. Again making DS look like a genius. Schoop will have the game winning homer in the top of the 8th. Cubs will lose to the Pirates. Things are about to get really interesting boys and girls. Really really interesting.
  4. That is pretty freaking awesome!
  5. Chacin and Cain might have been two of the 3 best value signings from the last offseason (of course JD Martinez added to those two). That makes me feel good as a Brewer fan since we usually are in the Jeff's Suppan and Hammonds land of misfit contracts! I think there was a point a few years so where contract values got too far out of hand too fast and this simply is a recognition of that and a market correction, just like any other market or business. Not to nitpick, but hard to argue a value contract without including Mikolas. Sorry I automatically erase memories of anything Cardinals do lol. GOod catch though - he seems to be a great signing as well!
  6. Head to Head record which will be decided in this 3 game series basically.
  7. The Brewers SP photo just made my day. So thank you. Big game tonight. As they are all at this point!
  8. I wouldn't say that. A lot of people were hoping/expecting his HR total to bump up near 30. He had 18 last year and if they were all at MP he would have had 8 more plus a lot of wall scrappers. Not hard to imagine his HR total being what it is right now...I personally expected him to float around 30 HRs a year with us. That is where a huge majority of his stat bump comes from. What is a little surprising is the .320 average to really juice up his stats. Personally I was expecting about .300 as a safe bet. What is most surprising is he still got to these stats despite starting off a little blah with the bat. He had to really turn it on in the second half (insane) to do it. It makes you wonder how good he might be moving forward. If he could hit for more power to RF...whew. Not only was he sort of blah, remember he was hurt for a bit there too, and the adjustment period after that. That makes this year even more special, as not just the counting stats are there, but the eye test is there. I was thinking he would fit MP perfectly, and his numbers are reflecting as such. One of the most underrated parts of his game is how he runs the bases. The man glides. He gets the extra base. He's no "burner" like a Gomez or somebody known for speed, but, he is quite possibly (minus maybe arm strength) one of the best all around players we have seen in a long time. AND HE IS STILL GETTING BETTER! Ahhhh. This trade, went from I like it, to a slam dunk already for me. Provided he stays healthy... he has to project to some amazing years the next few......

  10. Even crazier, the Rays would have the 3rd best record in the NL, leading two of the three divisions. However, they're going to (most likely) miss the playoffs in the AL, probably by 5 or more games. wishing we were in the AL central lol...
  11. Domingo FINALLY is awake and he now is a nice weapon off the bench (bye Thames) And that Yelich guy is ok at baseball things
  12. Not saying this is a must rally and win... but gosh darn it .... every game at this point feels that way especially is the reds lead holds in Chicago as well... sigh. But we are getting a brewers Sunday performance. Ugh.
  13. I think to stand a realistic shot at the division, the Brewers need to aim for 95 wins. That means going 11-4 to end the year. If they take the rest of their series 2-1, that is a 10-5 record. A few sweeps would obviously provide a little breathing room. jinx. knock on wood. lol.
  14. If we win every series , we go 10-5. That will get us in the playoffs and very possibly at least a one game playoff for the division with the Cubs. I think 10 is our magic # to hit for REALLY good things to happen. Lets go boys!
  15. So is Knebel again... I would love for us to be hitting our stride now, this is how teams don’t just make the playoffs they make deep runs. When is the last Brewers team you’ve felt like THIS about ?
  16. He was a surprise pickup but holy crap has he been a spark plug... love the way he plays the game too - just like Cain.
  17. I just don’t know , it’s only the 6th now lol. I hope JJ and Hader both have some pitches in them today... This game scares me, short of putting up some runs here!
  18. And what did Barnes do that posts or this are flying? Two choppers. Right? Isn't a chopper like that basically the best possible result besides a strikeout? Yea should have been 2 outs!
  19. What in the world is CC doing today? I mean it might work... it might not... but it’s almost like he forgot what inning it is , how many we are up, it’s like JR Smith VS the Warriors at the end of the game forgetting the score
  20. This. And I love that he was missing low. You miss low, you won't get hurt.
  21. We rolling harrrrd! We coming Miller Park South!!
