  1. We didn’t waste Hader or JJ today. Yea that’s what I got today - usually I’m more glass half full let’s puke n rally .. but geez tonight was not fun toward the end.
  2. Well that sucked. Scratch back in only for CC to take the momentum, take it out back, kill it, then shoot it to confirm it. He’s right , can’t use Hader for 90 games. Apparently can’t use him or JJ for any reason other then a slam dunk ahead situation. And sure can’t get them regular work to stay sharp. So now when Hader or Jj comes in tomorrow or Sunday and doesn’t have a good feel for their pitching we can get even more upset... sigh. It’s tough being a Brewers fan boys.
  3. At least Hader will be fresh in September when we are fighting for 3rd place with Pittsburgh.
  4. Isn't it amazing we are trying to be like are hated rivals? Haha. Glad to see Bud Norris blow a game the other day. Well they've been one of the most consistent winning teams in the league for a long time. And while they have more money than us, they're not reliant on big spending like the other consistent winning teams of Bos, NYY, LAD, SF and the recent rebuilds of CHC/Hou who have massive financial flexibility so can do things differently. Can't believe I forgot on the Royals, do you think we are closer to trying to be the cards or royals? As far as what is actually feasible. We are the Royals ... Soria, Moose, Cain, even Pina ... lol
  5. Thank you. I thought I was the only one who made faces when reading through that all. For all the "mistakes" - remember at the time who those players were, what their stats told us at the time... and what we all thought of them at the time. Hindsight is 20/20. He should be patted on the back for Chacin, Aguilar, Cain and Yelich moves, Shaw, Thames signing (even tho he K's a lot he's been exciting at a bargain price), things like that. Overall with the deck handed to him, he is doing well. Maybe not amazing. But sure not bad at all. If we want to talk about CC's game or pen management - that may be another thing (I get annoyed with some things, but he does an ok job of mixing things up... I will not for the life of me understand what he is doing with Hader or when he actually uses him, but I digress...). But Stearns has done a bang up job overall. Our job as crazy fans is tough however, especially as BREWERS fans... we have been through A LOT of bad things, and collapses. Dean Taylor.... Gary Sheffield.... guys like Chuckie Carr.... Ben McDonald and Jeffrey Hammonds signings.... That makes is more negative by nature. Can you blame us?
  6. He really has not been sharp at all this year, with Milwaukee or in any rehab stint. I wonder if there is a more severe injury not diagnosed yet or if he just has "lost the feel" for his pitches. Add him to the list of head scratching regression players.
  7. This is why we needed a starter for so long because a bullpen picking up 4 and even 5 innings a game will catch up with you and bite you in the you know what. The offense has not - for once - been the issue lately. They have been scoring. Just that the other team has answered back nearly every single time we score. Go back to the San Diego series , the Braves series. Every score we gave back it seemed. And I rather be out of it by early September than to draw it down to the wire and have a bullpen on fumes , head into the last 2 weeks and implode . Rip the band aid off! Haha
  8. Nottingham me please. And Braun day to day means play short 5 days then decide he’s DL-able. Just 10 day him now. He only will miss 8 games I think ? Maybe 7?
  9. I'm in the same boat as you, I'm assuming it's one of those classic seeing eye grounder, bloop hit Chinese water torture type of innings. Thanks I needed that
  10. hopefully it still matters then. the way st louis is playing....
  11. same here, and pitchers going from 0-2 counts to walking people. lol. bad day at the office
  12. junior looks like crap today. time for a slugfest like sunday but we end up on the correct end.
  13. This makes ZERO sense! I hate to blast fellow posters, especially since it's against forum rules. But this is so ridiculous, I have to call you out on it. When you have a talent like Mench, why in the world would you platoon him with a disappointing guy like Yelich? I suppose you are going to tell me it's a bad idea to platoon Chuckie Carr and Lorenzo Cain right now. That would be a platoon made in heaven. The yin to the yang.
  14. Mostly AAAA fodder. But... those are the guys that teams like the Cubs have who have huge Septembers... lol. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHC/2018-roster.shtml Morrow and Bryant are nice reinforcements to have during that stretch if those two can come back. and that Darvish fellow... who knows what you get with him.
  15. If Jayson Werth can hit rec league bombs still, I believe this is 100% true. https://www.mlb.com/cut4/jayson-werths-rec-league-home-run/c-289577398
  16. Don't let this thread distract you from the fact that the Brewers are either 2 OR 4 games out of first at the moment.

  18. Stop it!!! Are you serious? In his defense I have heard him try to pronounce Jhoulys Chacin before, probably why he just went with Wily Peralta. In the close on the mlb package before going to the after 9th inning break Plesac said Peralta as well then was corrected by COuchon ... it’s like nobody believed anyone but Peralta could have that line ! Haha None the less it was a great effort after a buzzkill of a game Sunday. And yes tomorrow now is important as a swing game. Head to head VS these guys are worth double in the games how ever you shake it.... after tomorrow we are back 1 or 3 games in the standings. There’s a big difference there ! And I’d LOVe to go into StL with a full head of steam and go rain on their parade !!!!
  19. That is correct sir he sure is That was probably the most complete game they have played this year. Well done fellas.
  20. Not sure if they are going to send Knebel back out there for the 9th... after Schoop pinch hit for the pitcher spot... Plesac is welcome tho- I enjoy him a lot.
  21. I’ll admit when I’m wrong. That was a very solid inning there by Knebel. Good velo and movement.
