  1. Hey no stealing my ideas! [sarcasm]We both said it - we should tweet it and it will become true! Or a based on a "source" rumor![/sarcasm] I seriously was working on something else, and had my post half done sitting open for 10 minutes. Totally freaky how close they are. It actually makes a lot of sense. If this were fantasy baseball, Out of the Park baseball, MLB2K , whatever... it would be something I would do. And enjoy pulling the trigger too!
  2. [sarcasm]But Buster Olney said he thinks he WILL be traded today[/sarcasm]

  4. LOVE IT! Who needs a farm system anyways? Shaw going to BAL lessens the blow of prospects. Ive stated before prospects are prospects til they are not anymore. . If you can turn prospect capital into Realmuto - who may be the best all around catcher in baseball for a few years... I do believe we do it ! IS THIS BOLD ENOUGH?
  5. Brewers get Realmuto, Gausman, and Shoop. Shaw included to Baltimore. We are set for this year and next with the best offense in the NL. Moose loves Milwaukee and the fans and signs a 2 year 30 mil extension.
  6. I would tend to be cautious on Davies as well, just because he's had so many setbacks with this injury and he generally wasn't sharp pre-injury. Ditto Grande on this. I likened him to a wet far yesterday (Davies) with how he has been this year. And he looked good in his first rehab start the first time, then got rocked up here. I believe the second time he rehabbed he looked good for one then was hurt again. I will take his progress with a grain of salt. We all know he has a bad first month usually too, so hopefully we don't get the reset button on his year hit since he's missed so much time already this year. He just scares me, always has, because of the homers he gives up. As for the "that we know of" - i mean that literally, because DS seems to operate in the shadows. And THAT is what will get us bang for our buck!!
  7. Trade deadlines are often like this. Visions of grander and nothing. lol.
  8. I guess with that strategy, he will get us another bullpen arm then... I think we need something more , don't we? Especially for the pitching staff. I think there is a lot to be had on the cheap too. Seems like it will be an off the radar move, just like the first two moves. Seems how he operates, and I love it.
  9. He is not on the roster yet If we had to chose here and now, Chase.
  10. Don't you guys believe that DJ AND the NL AND not the AL East AND a contender would do wonders for Archer? As I've stated before his numbers have gotten better this year from his first month or so... but mentally, don't you think it would be a different animal if he came here? Or is that more like chasing a ghost? It's probably like chasing a ghost. He seems like the type of guy that's trying pretty hard in Tampa anyways and I'm not giving up top prospects because I think a guy is going to try harder in my organization. If they do think there is something they can "fix" in him, then go for it. I think all the hope and dreaming comes from us all salivating at trying to get somebody who can go 6 plus instead of the 4 we are used to. Yes having a strong bullpen helps and is nice, but as we saw in that stretch , that can heavily tax the pen, and is not a long term success you can depend on. Can it work? Of course. But would be real nice to have a TOR/2-3 type guy that goes innings. Those options (that we KNOW of) are limited. Who knows what happens today. It is exciting for now though!

  12. As long as he doesn't become a Cub... I'm ok with it. They can stack the AL all they want - bash each other's brains out... we will be waiting for the best in the WS
  13. I have to agree , this opens the Astros to some criticism - and I too am of the camp that a know it all teenager quoting rap lyrics and spewing stupid speak, doesn't compare to a grown man putting his hands on a woman. Not even close. As him - the pitcher - yes he is talented. But... yea. Seems many of you share the same sediments I have.
  14. I'd like Harper... and deGrom... and Thor... and Realmuto as much as the next guy.... But... Would be happy with Archer and Ramos from the Rays. I really think Archer would be a better pitcher in our system, and out of the AL East... I really do. And those two would probably cost less than a lot of other combos we have banded about. For some reason I think we will remain quiet today though, and that would be a little disappointing honestly lol.
  15. Gio Gonzalez Dark horse get. Also going to make a last minute push for Realmuto. This time tomorrow we will be the favorites in the NL.
  16. Pina has not been making me think he can get it done (especially long term). I would love Ramos if able to get him cheap. I’d roll that dice before an overpay for even a Matt Harvey.
  17. DL’d players can be traded This article from Bleacher Report: Although it's not common, Major League Baseball does permit teams to trade players who are currently on the disabled list throughout the course of the season. Although some contenders may not be willing to take a risk on a player who has spent a significant amount of time on the DL, others may take extreme measures and attempt to reel in a talented player who may not be the most healthy at the time the deal is struck.
  18. Sure, Woodruff is crap, but the Cubs are going to be able to put a package together for him? Theo probably can get away with a rookie baller AND the Nat's cover Harper's airfare , room and board, and 90% his salary remaining this year. The idea of Yelich Cain and Harper in the OF has me salivating .... lol.
  19. Woodruff , Ray, lottery ticket. But to be honest that may be too much as this year he has not been good. He definitely has a hot streak in him at some point though.
  20. im willing to risk it tbh I’m open to it, and I’ve had a gamble like that gone right. But he has scared me this year even when ‘healthy’. They try him for a few games and it doesn’t go well, we may end up running home to change lol.
  21. A please C scares me because Davies is at this point this year , a wet fart, might seem like a good idea but could totally ruin your day.
  22. [sarcasm]Where's Dave Bush or Sean Marcum when you need them[/sarcasm]
  23. I agree with this take. It will work or it won't work at 2b... with Moose or Shaw. And not like you won't have others who need days off or are in slumps like Aguilar is now... If you guys recall last August and September we needed bats to come alive like nothing ever before... and now we have some extra sticks we can move around and hopefully catch some hot streaks to avoid the drastic falloff we had last year!
  24. I really want Realmuto. But he will be expensive. I also think if they went all in on Realmuto they also for sure get a starter then as well too. If you go THAT in, you go ALL in.
  25. I think that the Rays will want Nottingham, Ray, probably either Burnes or Peralta and likely another high ranking guy as well. For me, Burnes would be off the table. He's looked dang near dominant out of the pen, with better stuff than what I gave him credit for. I'd probably do this deal for Archer: Ray/Nottingham/Peralta/Carmona That deal is going to sting, as Ray is playing like the stud prospect he is, Nottingham is the catcher of the future, Freddy has looked good and is so young, and Carmona is an uber-talented young SS. But you have to give value to get it. I'd only consider that... and consider is a stretch... if Ramos came with as well.
