  1. Plesac can be a little out there , I know, but he was very correct there when saying you have to go away when the hitter is committing to pull like Polanco was...
  2. Aguilar did have the minor league numbers to back that up... that’s a good comparison. Provided it’s minus the PEDs lol that part is correct !
  3. Aguilar has pleasantly surprised me. Every time he tries to slide back down to ‘earth’ he gets going again! Praise the Lord for Boone being gone... now just time to get rid of Sogard and send Arcia (maybe Santana too) down to get work. And we will be in the best position for a good run here. Is it close to Miller time? I’m one To think Villar would be better at SS than Miller and run him out at 2b!
  4. Today was a very good day. Now let’s get a win here. Davies drives me nuts but he does have to prove he’s ok for 3 minor league starts so let’s see what Peralta can do with this opportunity - I for one am excited to see what happens .
  5. I’m done with the Boone Logan experience. Please DFA him postgame . Thank you.
  6. unfortunately he's a 25 year old who basically was demoted from AAA after last year, I don't believe he has much stock
  7. Seems the consensus is about 50-50 for long term Arcia at short. I guess the thing is, can you be as lost as he is and "get it back". I agree it needs to happen down at AAA. And hope that doesn't break his confidence more than it already has been broken. Really does suck the way the injuries have shaken out and prevented him from going down for a month or two to do that. I'm still curious if you dangle him for Machado in a deal. KNowing what COULD happen with him in the long run. I guess is that a chance we would take? Not to say that he's even somebody Baltimore would be interested in. For me it's just frustrating how he "looks" at the plate. Swinging 3-0, half waving the bat at pitches that would hit a lefthanded hitter, things like that which seem to be more than minor adjustments. Have me concerned with his "eye" at the plate. That's something that can't be taught or fixed.
  8. Exactly, plus you can add Suter to that mix once Davies or Miley comes back. Granted Hader and Jennings aren't necessarily lefty specialists, but Counsell hasn't been using Logan that way anyway, so that doesn't matter. Logan wouldn't need to be replaced with a lefty. I love that they are stretching out Houser as a starter at AAA, but his high 90s FB would be a nice fit at the back end of the MLB pen. I remember a time in the not to distant past where Boone Logan this year, would still be the ace of the pen... how lucky we are this year. I do agree we don't NEED a lefty specialist, as I much prefer a high octane arm to somebody you maybe use for a batter or two. If you have filthy stuff, doesn't matter who you're facing L or R, Hader has shown with his dominance vs L and R this year.
  9. Boone Logan has worn out his welcome as far as I'm concerned ... A Houser or Ramirez would be fantastic in his place. Especially with the emerging Barnes, and Williams. Now can either of those two be trusted in higher leverage situations. I am not sure yet, however, with their "stuff", if they pitch well, we have not just a super front line pen, but a solid back end as well!
  10. First to 41 in the NL! Fended off the Cubs from taking over 1st place!!
  11. They said on the radio that the cubs have only been shut out in back to back games once in their history and the first time on back to back days. Wow... for how bad they were for a century lol, I would have never guessed that. Wow that’s a heck of a nugget ! That is even more exciting !
  12. after monday's game.... who here thought we would have not only won the next two but shut them out in both? not me.. lol. hell of a job to get the monkey off the back so to speak!
  13. He's not out.... well then ... lol wish Thames could pepper one to left
  14. somebody please hit one out here and give us a cushion !!!!
  15. [sarcasm]but BA and Rock said Hernan is an excellent bunter[/sarcasm]
  16. sigh.. instead look at a strike 3. come on... we need some insurance please!
  17. I love this too. And a couple guys in Barnes and Williams who show signs of electric stuff....
  18. In all fairness, does it really matter? He made a catch of very high degree of difficulty. That is indisputable. Solved! And he didnt get hurt doing it!!!
