    Nice inning for McGill !
  2. mtsportsfan
Any reason why Adames is not hitting down in the lineup !
  3. mtsportsfan
Contreras kinda sucking lately ! Has looked fairly clueless !
  4. mtsportsfan
Thought Burned pitched good tonight , got out of that bases loaded jam and settled down nicely ! Rowdy throws that maybe you get interference and the inning is over !
  5. mtsportsfan
They don't seem to miss our mistakes !
  6. mtsportsfan
    Of course !
  7. mtsportsfan
Rowdy needs to throw that !

Going to waste a good performance by Burnes tonight ! It has to be frustrating for him !

Tyrone having a good night ! Can we get two hits in a row ?
  10. mtsportsfan
Need robo umps next year ! Some of those strikes weren't remotely close !
  11. mtsportsfan
Maybe his defense is below ave , but this team needs some offense ! His ab's look good, seems like he has good understanding of the strike zone , not a lot of wild swings at pitches out of the zone .

Not saying Yelich is back , nice to see him playing at a higher level right now , if he keeps this up we'll be looking really good.

After reading the article . Bottom line is get the call right , don't really care about players that frame pitches really well and could lose a spot on a roster , players adjust , for me that's just ridiculous that that could be a possible hold up to a automated strike zone . After watching years of seeing Stoke zones differ from ump to ump , pitcher to pitcher , even inning to inning , really want to see a ASZ ! Want consistency and the human element isn't it .

Absolutely need a cap and a floor ! Don't understand how a fan of a small market team would not want this . There is nothing like watching the big market teams gobble up all the top end free agents while we pick up scraps ! Or lose our best players because we can't afford them (supposedly) ! Admittedly I don't know all the in's and outs of the financial end of baseball and whether small market owners can spend more or not , but at least with a floor they would have to spend more . at the same time with a cap , large market teams can't sign everybody, better players can trickle down . Would need stiff penalties for violators of cap and floor !

Commenting late on this and I'm sure somebody already said this . Burned received a pretty handsome raise undoubtedly he deserves more and will get that eventually , that being said it won't be the brewers . unfortunately the crew will not be able to afford him when it gets to that point , so keep his salary at the minimum of what we have to pay and pray that he doesn't get hurt so that when it is time to trade him we can max value for him . love burns , just not affordable for us ! ( stinks)

Yes , if he can help win a WS do it . Tired of celebrating a WS where we finished second . Don't profess to know what he did or didn't do with all the mis information out there !

Thanks , this board seems to have the most informed posters than on any other site !
  18. mtsportsfan
Unfortunately this is the sad reality of MLB , and they probably could live with this .
  19. mtsportsfan
Don't kill me on this , but why are these proposed trades of a pitcher for a OF when that seems to be strength ( young) . We have needed corner infielders for it seems like decades !
  20. mtsportsfan
Not disagreeing with you guys , but our bullpen was pretty bad at the end of season last year , if not him who else is available ?
  21. mtsportsfan
Precisely, got so tired of the home run or strike out , power is nice but give me a guy who can work the pitcher and hit gap to gap who doesn't strike out half the time. Looking forward to some of the changes coming up . looks like the crew is changing there philosophy along with the changes. Love it !

Yeah , thanks for the nice effort , I wasn't talking about the player I was talking about the kind of money to play a game ( all sports) is just ridiculous. I will say though baseball in particular and the guaranteed contracts is terrible , it really hurts the small market teams if they want to hold to a player and they regress (Yelich). Justify all you want but the money is ridiculous!
  23. mtsportsfan
This is just beyond ridiculous , could you imagine turning down 35 million a year to play baseball. just think , you can absolutely stink and will still get the money anyway. Disgusting !!!
  24. mtsportsfan
You might be right , but we won't know if this trade will work out for a year or two ! The fact is this trade basically gutted our play off chance this year ! Oh yeah , Hader is looking like the Hader the last two years not the Hader of those five weeks where he struggled. We did not get enough considering it was too a direct competitor !
  25. mtsportsfan
This part is what made it worse for me than anything ! Not only did you make us worse , but you helped the Padres get better , a direct competitor for a play off spot. Didn't sit well and still doesn't !
