    I like the idea of signing of Drury , wanted him at the deadline . solid bat and glove ! Pipe dream but if we add him and Contreras it really would be a nice looking lineup!

    Voted for fundamentals. This whole HR or nothing is just boring baseball. Now with the shift being altered maybe we can get back to a older form of baseball. Thought that fundamentals tied in to more run production ! Health and bullpen follows.

    It seems the only way can score is they walk a run in , rarely do we get the big hit lately !

    Don't see how you could say the trade was fine ! Hader had a rough patch in the beginning and he now seems to be the Hader we knew . How in the world do you trade one of the best relievers in the game when you are in a tight play off race ? Not only that but you help a direct competitor with not only Hader but you basically helped them get Soto , Drury and Bell by not asking for a higher return on Hader and then taking Laments salary off the books for them ! Our front office basically gave up on this season for the future . I get the Hader trade , in the off season ! Instead of adding bats that we needed badly they did next too nothing . meanwhile the cards add pitching that they needed and here we are , fighting for the last wild card watching our team not hitting in clutch situations and our closer being very inconsistent !

    As I'm looking at these trades and you guys know more about opposing teams players ( major and minor)than I do, but it seems that a lot of trades are with in our own division with direct competition for the play offs, unless we are saying that we are doing a total rebuild and not a play off team , why not get the best package from a AL team. We basically helped the Padres acquire Soto and Drury and to one of the play off spots.

    I said this very same thing a while ago and got chastised pretty good for it , but still firmly believe that it is just more added pressure, to be perfect ! Knowing if u give up a couple of runs there is a good chance you might get a loss or no decision .

    For me until the teams philosophy for hitting changes it won't matter , almost everyone has a upper cut swing and going for the fences. Nobody can situationaly hit. That being said I would rather Adames not hit in the two hole , 5 or 6 would be better. Unfortunately I don't know who could hit second ? Not a lot of good options !

    No , can't do that ! This team has to many holes .we can't diminish the return of one of our top starters to get rid of Yelich , after all , believe it or not he still is one our better hitters ( disgusting ).

    It seems that a lot of this current roster has the "uppercut" swing . all or nothing!

    I get that u want to bang on Yelich . totally understand. But its really a team non effort. . black holes in cf , 3b, DH and on and on. This team just can't string hits together , nothing clutch about anybody or at least someone we could rely on. Seen this last year with no corrections for this year . not in to firing people but it could be time for CC to go ! He looks clueless right now.

    These guys stink if its not one thing or another something always goes wrong. They are in a free fall and I don't see them breaking out ! Hopefully the Sept call ups will spark them . unless CC doesn't play them.

    Its just so hard to watch this team , incredibly horrible line-up. What stinks is that we've seen this lineup last year and the team really didn't do anything to chance it.

    Now would be a good time for his roll over to second. Move the guy to third at least. That's the best we can hope from him lately !

    Nice article with very good insight . that being said , don't know your credentials, but if you can see this then why don't the brewer coaches see this and make the adjustment.

    Urias and the upper cut swing . to bad out hitting coaches can't fix that ! Just swing for the fences !
