  1. Cubs blow it in the 9th! Mets win 6-5.
  2. The problem with him being so dominating on Opening Day is that now a good number of people actually expect him to repeat that performance just about every time out. And that's just ridiculous.
  3. Will the Brewers fall all the way to 10 games over .500, meaning another year with no playoffs or will they win this game in May, giving them the inside track to the World Series? Seriously though, it would be nice to get this game so the road trip isn't a total failure. Still not "must win" territory, IMO. However, they have to get back on the right track soon.
  4. They've played half an inning. The Chicken Littles are out in full farc...err force already tonight.
  5. Sheets blows, why can't he throw a perfect game every time out just like every other ace in MLB? No, Ben doesn't have his A+ stuff today, but he retired the first 10 Mets today. He's been far from terrible.
  6. They never show replays of the previous game when there's a day game the next day. I don't know why some people don't believe that the game will be on FSN outside the Milwaukee area, they used to do this with Ch 24 and MSC/FSN all the time. Once the Bucks season mercifully ended, the scheduling conflicts did too.
  7. From the Brewers' site: "Hit by a pitch last night, Cecil Fielder homered in his first two at-bats today."
  8. Yet another pitcher Billy historically owns.
  9. I would kill to see an Islanders/Preds final. I'm just happy the Isles beat the Devils on the last day of the season to get in. They were a long shot just to get in and few had them getting anywhere near the playoffs at the start of the year.
  10. Man, I love working at a place with it's own bar. The pay sucks, but the fringe benefits are totally worth it. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=30536
  11. Nobody said that everyone who got tipsy was a loud mouthed jerk. Take it easy.
  12. Plaschke mentions the quirkiness of Miller Park and Jeff Kent evidentally called MP "a bad investment of a ballpark." Maybe this is the Dodgers' take on the game, but Plaschke says that Ben Sheets wasn't the story of the game. Wow. 0-1 Cry more Los Angeles.
  13. The last 5 or 6 posts are the reasons why 2003 was the first and only Opening Day I will ever go to. WAY too many drunks to enjoy the game and they all have 25 other drunk friends who think anything they do is awesome, no matter who it offends or disgusts.
  14. Craig is now calling it "FSN Wisconsin". Is that official? Are we no longer under the control of Minnesota-centric FSN North?
  15. TBS has Braves/Phillies at noon, also.
  16. Is Preston Wilson really a decent option to bat 2nd?
  17. A booth with Kent and this minor league guy is just..... uncomfortable.
  18. Is there a child running this broadcast in the truck? I've never seen so many missed pitches, bad camera choices, etc. I like how they didn't break for pitching changes and Ann whatever on the sidelines is pretty hilarious, though unintentionally so. I guess it's Spring Training for them too.
  19. im in whitewater and my box says it should be on right now, but im getting fox sports top 50 sports blunders!!!!! Game starts at 3.
  20. I'm pretty excited to see Yo! Gallardo pitch.
  21. Mr. Braun may be creating expectations for himself that are almost impossible to live up to. I agree, he should just stop trying. Don't want to put expectations on a guy.
  22. I agree on the unis, to a point. I think they made a mistake in the complete redo in 94. They had the right idea before that, pinstripes, ball and glove and they updated it. They kept the pinstripes after they went from a pullover to a button up. They updated the font on the jerseys while keeping the overall look the same. I think if they went back to the old colors and pinstripes but kept the font we have now it would look pretty cool. Maybe have the M/barley logo as a road hat. As for the game, I think it's great they kept the old ABC in game ads and the old "technical difficulties" guy in this broadcast. I also enjoyed the Ben Ogilvy piece after his HR.
