  1. Biggest win of the year. Stole this one. Even though this team is injured beyond belief, they are not dead, and played like it. Hiura will be back for the last 14 or so games, Woodruff the last week. An improved Nelson is back, Peralta has his control back, Suter is pitching better than he ever has, Guerra’s command and splitter is back, Pomeranz has been a great pickup, Albers Claudio Jackson add situational depth and Hader looks great. Tomorrow, the bullpen becomes the best in the league. And with the Freitas on board with Taylor in a few days, we should hit the Cubbies LHP better in MKE. We are not done.
  2. Really? I would argue the opposite. Until I started commenting, this thread went a half hour without a post. Try again. Well the Brewers were winning the whole way, so that eliminates the pessimist crowd. A bunch of fans have likely already jumped off the ship. But .... I also believe that I am spot on otherwise. Ok, wondering why no one there, thought football Saturday.
  3. Really? I would argue the opposite. Until I started commenting, this thread went a half hour without a post. Try again.
  4. Yep. He’s definitely trolling now. There are so many different types of people on these boards and it’s the reason it’s great here. Many knowledgeable sports fans. Yet, this guy continues to do this crap. Your wrong, as usual. About the trolling that is. I don’t even know what that is, trolling?, maybe I am, but not on purpose.
  5. Brewers 10th in the league in runs. 12 Th in the league in pitching. Bad at both. Amazing we’re a red-hot winning streak away from making the playoffs.
  6. You sound like a mafia hit man. He doesn't want you dead. Just banished from Brewerfan boards and left to talk Brewer baseball on Facebook comment threads. Sad that the outlier can’t be tolerated, all the like-minded can’t have their thought challenged. Instead we must be rid of him. Interesting.
  7. But you talk out of both sides of your mouth. You can't talk up how generational talents like Yelich and Hiura and Grisham are and then say the offense sucks. Yes I can. There not mutually exclusive. 3 good hitters doesn’t make an offense good, obviously, since it’s not good with all 3 in it.
  8. Except the offense isn't terrible. It isn't what we had hoped for but it isn't terrible. Our pitching on the other hand is terribe and you have defended that pitching well into the second half of the season. Stating the truth is most definitely not why you get "mocked" around here. See, “But the brewers offense isn’t terrible” is ridiculous, it’s the worst offense with RISP in the League. Outside of hitting home runs they don’t score. Their offense is soooooooo bad vs Lefties it’s become a recurring joke. Come on now.
  9. This is not why you are mocked around here and you know it. Actually, I don’t mind, most of the snide comments and such are done out of ignorance, and will continue by those that do not know.
  10. I’ve been saying our offense is terrible since the first part of April. And most of you know it, since I was mocked for stating the truth early on.
  11. Never thought the brewers lineup was “Stacked”, at least not compared to the Cubbies.
  12. Like who? When I look at the Cubs' lineup it seems like almost every player is exactly statistically where one would expect them to be. Bryant and Rizzo are right around their expected .900+ OPS. Baez played a little over his head last year but around .850 right where you'd expect. Schwarber is exactly the low average, high power guy he's always been. Maybe expecting them to be a little over 664 runs for the season is reasonable, but I'd expect us to be over 632. No surprise that both teams are well below average hitting with RISP relative to their overall offensive rating. For the Cubbies to only have scored 32 more runs than the crew is comical. I mean come on. Let’s be honest here.
  13. How does this Cubbies team not lead the world in runs? I’ve never seen a team underperform it’s offensive talent like they do. It’s rather comical.
  14. Wish the wind was blowing in at 30 MPH with Davies pitching.
  15. Pina has been fantastic vs LHP this year.
  16. The Hiura injury just hammers home the ridiculous lack of quality RH options, forget quality, how bout just options. Stearns has to be embarrassed. This major problem with the roster was very apparent at the deadline, but nothing was done. Why? Lack of financial resources? Lack of belief in this team?. Both are probably true. I still believe this team will win a lot of games in September, but now fall short a game or two.
  17. Everything you post is your opinion. And most of it is tinfoil hat-level odd. So bashing another poster who is backing up his opinion is odd coming from you. The only reason they signed Cain to begin with is that they didn't have a viable CF alternative. That was roughly 18 months ago. So no, I would not rid ourselves of Cain's contract. He may be a bit overpaid compared to his production moving forward, but I see this team as a contender moving forward, and I don't think you are going to find a better option out there without paying out the nose in either money or prospects for a CF that will be Cain's equal, and I'm not interested in a step down at that spot. So not only do I think that they would not be able to rid themselves of Cain's contract without taking a major hit, I don't think they should. Ha, must admit, tinfoil hat-level odd description is creatively funny. At least you didn’t use the word ALL, instead of most, so there’s that.
  18. Well if your right in your calculations, this is a no-brainer decision to trade. Even if your off by let’s say 6-10 million, it still NEEDS to be done. Not sure about FA, but there are in-house or trade options available. The zero Cain CF regression, and 41-51 million in savings make it a easy decision. At a minimum if this team wants to contend next year, quite the changes are necessary. 14-17 million next year can help in better ways. You say this as fact, but you are literally the ONLY person saying it. Joseph literally says in his post that while he believes Cain may have a smidgen of surplus value, but that it doesn't matter because he isn't going anywhere, and instead you glob onto the value thing to drive home the idea that the Brewers NEED to do this? Like it's some sort of foregone conclusion? Wow ... that's all I have to say. Wow. First off, I’m not the only one that wants rid of Cain. Kinda weird if you read back thru this thread how you’d come to that conclusion. Secondly, Joseph only states he doesn’t think Stearns will trade because of Cain’s superior run prevention. That’s his opinion. Quite a few posters have said if we can trade Cain without eating much or any $, they WOULD be all for getting that contract off the books. IF IF IF, we could rid ourselves of this contract without eating any $, you wouldn’t do it?
  19. Another LHP, no Hiura, a slumping Davies vs a hot hitting, great home team. Team needs to dig down deep, Suter’s back with the team so that should help loosen em up and hopefully motivate the team. If they can find a way to somehow win this game, I’ll be quite surprised. But it’s Baseball.
  20. I would argue the Yankees at the drop of a dime could send 170 million easily, right up to the tax threshold, and in a certain year blow past the tax at say 250-260 million, but re-setting the following year. So that would give them an extra 100 million to play with, at least for one year. Same with all the largest markets. Different stratosphere indeed.

  22. Peralta is so ready: 2 ip 0 h 1 bb 5 K’s
  23. Great take. After that 1st inning horror show I wanted him pulled, but the brewers kept him pitching, and by gosh, each inning he got better. You nailed the brewers mind set I believe.
