  1. Burnes probably needs a sports psychologist after this outing. How could it be this bad? Just got out of the first with only 4 runs. Could have been worse, 3 bb plus singles doubles hits all over the place. Goodness Gracious. He has to be pulled. Pitched the 2nd > only gave up a home run. Pitched 3 more innings, got better with each inning, struck out the side in the 5th. Thru 5 > 82 pitches 47 strikes. 5 ip 5 r 5 h 3 bb 6 K’s Impressive comeback. Must have been throwing simulated games or lots of pitches in Arizona, to have thrown 80+ pitches tonight.
  2. Strange, I think that every single day about someone on this very forum... I know, you’ve made that clear many times. It’s ok, at some point moving forward we’ll probably agree on most things Brewers.
  3. Craig Counsell has no control over the healing pace of Brandon Woodruff. I watched this interview, I have no idea why you're so upset about what he said. He didn't say anything condescendingly whatsoever. Did you watch it or just read a quote? As you recently said, it's all about context. Ok, I believe you, if one(me)hadn’t seen the interview, and thought the latest word on Woodruff was mid-September, and just read the article, head explode’s. Thanks for clearing up my misinterpretation.
  4. Craig Counsell has no control over the healing pace of Brandon Woodruff. I watched this interview, I have no idea why you're so upset about what he said. He didn't say anything condescendingly whatsoever. Did you watch it or just read a quote? As you recently said, it's all about context. Read McCalvey’s article he used quotes. Did not see the interview. Article comes off as condescending.
  5. Now I read Counsell saying Woodruff not gonna be ready till end of September, first of October. Wow, idiots they are this year. First it was Labor Day, then Stearns said middle of September, now this. Counsell is a jerk. “Obviously won’t be ready till end of September”, OBVIOUSLY? Really? So your gonna talk like that to us now? He can go any day now, not gonna bother me one bit. Fresh eye’s and idea’s and such might be warranted.
  6. Probably to just about everyone, but not me. Not gonna be easy, but I think they will. I might be changing my mind, in light of Hiura’s injury, gonna wait to see what the brewers do, and how long Hiura’s gonna be out. Assuming Shaw Moose Spangenberg Perez > 3B/2B. Now if Yelich goes off.........
  7. Not sure with Hiura’s injury what they gonna do now.
  8. It was still a bad decision, could have avoided with an 8 year extension, avoiding the having to send him down, can’t pay another 5+ million in super 2 extra arby year $. The day a team gives an 8 year extension to a rookie one month into his major league career is the day I walk to the 50 yard line at Lambeau Field during a Sunday Night game wearing only a diaper and play Muskrat Love on a ukelele. Working out quite nicely for Rick Hahn and the White Sox with Eloy Jimenez.
  9. Next year’s C, in good shape, Pina Freitas will make a good pair.
  10. It was still a bad decision, could have avoided with an 8 year extension, avoiding the having to send him down, can’t pay another 5+ million in super 2 extra arby year $.
  11. If the season truly hung on the balance over the issue of Freitas not coming up, then they should probably fire Stearns... Even I haven’t insinuated that. Just a high probability of him helping vs LHP. Just ask Briggs and Lathund.
  12. Explain to me how Aguilar has anything to do with your 90%+ chance of a loss today... If he wouldn’t have absolutely sucked this year, brewers wouldn’t have traded him away, and he’d be in this lineup today, helping this team not suck so bad vs LHP.
  13. Cain with another meaningless hit. Far too many of those from him this year. Something to keep in mind when looking at his .252 .330 .672 line.
  14. This game was a 90%+ loss, before they even played the game. Blame Cain Aguilar Perez And Stearns. Cain and Aguilar are most at fault because of how Horrible they were or are vs LHP. Stearns is next for not improving SS at the deadline, and or getting a bat that can mash LHP, and not calling up Freitas before this Sunday.
  15. Just stop. No I won’t stop, because, imo, it can.
  16. Quintana today vs any team other than the brewers, 5+ runs.
  17. 100% this Ya, and the Woodruff oblique injury had nothing to do with the massive collision with 230lb Alex Avila.
  18. Hiura looks done for the year now. Thank you very much Kyle Schwarber.
  19. Cain > bad hitter this year especially if you look at RISP. My opinion > the age related regression offensively is in full view.
  20. Been saying those same words since the last time the brewers were in Wrigley.
  21. Probably to just about everyone, but not me. Not gonna be easy, but I think they will.
  22. I don't think there are. There are people, like me, who want it to happen. But we all know it isn't. There’s one right here. We all figured, or at least I did, probable losses vs Cubbies LHP, then with the wind blowing in > very very high probability of losses first 2 games. Sunday’s game I’m hoping they can win, it’s probably a toss-up. It’s not a light switch, it’s massive pitching added to make a dominant bullpen. A couple of position player additions to help too. This team can get hot in a hurry.
