  1. This offense is not good. Most here, believe the pitching is the issue, but, the pitching can be fixed easier than this offense, imo. A good pen arm or two would do wonders for this staff. But how to improve this offense? Cain is a big problem, so is SS, and Aguilar, Pina. 8th in RPG, but leading in home runs, huh? I believe/hope Stearns see’s this and is able to add a bat, bring up a player from AAA, whatever, to improve this offense. Hiura is a good start. But more is needed.
  2. Jake Diekman would also be a good get. Imo, a high K lefty, would help with match-ups vs teams like the dodgers, Cubbies, Braves. I think the cost would be more than reasonable. Would protect us somewhat from a Claudio slump, and from potentially calling up Hart again. Also adding 2 pen arms might free the crew to start Burnes again.
  3. I think Dubon and another player closer to the backend of the Brewers top 30 prospects list would get it done. Something like Dubon and Je’Von Ward. If that’s the approximate cost, then yes, sign me up for the trade. We’d also have the option to keep him next year as well. I thought, because he’s not a rental, and with his pedigree, plus him having arguably his best year, his cost would be higher.
  4. My prediction is Álex Colomé, but my reasoning is no better than the number of former White Sox bullpen arms that the Brewers have acquired through either trade or waiver pickup/signing is seemingly endless. The list of relief pitchers that were employed with the Brewers during Stearns’ tenure after pitching at some point in their career with the White Sox includes Anthony Swarzak, Joakim Soria, Xavier Cedeño, Matt Albers, Junior Guerra, Dan Jennings, Boone Logan, Jake Petricka, Juan Mariñez, Carlos Torres. There may be more, but you get the idea. Well, if that’s the case, this ones gonna cost by far the most, prospect wise.
  5. Yes, then imagine what we could get if we trade him this offseason.
  6. He was a starter in the minors and made the majors at the age of 22, then lost two years to TJ. Why was he a starter before, but not now after TJ? His stuff isn't good enough beyond the FB CB. It plays in the pen so leave him there. That’s your opinion, the brewers believe otherwise.
  7. Let me guess. Houser is the 7th Ace? Didn’t call him an Ace. Mid-rotation or better is what I said. And a lot of people outside of this site agree. Scouts and the crew brain trust being a few. He’s not goin anywhere, he’ll be in the rotation moving forward.
  8. Houser painting the corners with 2 seam and 4 seam curves and sliders, tires in the 6th because he’s not stretched YET, and you are calling him a failed starter? He’s 2+ years past TJ, the crew protected him by bullpenning him and limiting his innings. Hes not a failed starter. Thank God the brewers know where to put him > Rotation
  9. It's great to be excited about guys but I think we sometimes fall in love with certain guys and really jump the gun on them. I like Houser. But we are a long ways from knowing what he is yet, much less proclaiming he solves a rotation spot. He has like 50 MLB innings. He has 2 FBs, 2 good breaking pitches and good command. Checks ALL the Boxes for mid rotation starter or better. Brewers wanted him a starter all along, put him in the pen out of necessity, they know what they have.
  10. Was just thinking... Houser Peralta piggy back would probably look nice. There stretching him out. First time out 60 pitches, this game 70+, next game 80+, he’ll get there.
  11. Houser is a stud. He solves another rotation spot. If you believe Anderson and Davies to be ok, that leaves Chacín as the weak link.
  12. I gain more good prospects than I give up, because I sell super high on Hader. Kennedy is good but expensive, that’s why the $ coming back, I still have Jeffress Guerra Knebel and others next year. Duran is still highly rated, and so are the other 3. I can also trade 1 or 2 of those prospects for a quality big league ready player if I want. I guess I’m in the minority thinking Bauer is a stud pitcher, but I do, and between he and Woody and Houser, I’ll take my chances in the playoffs.
  13. Freitas could hit better THIS year than Pina with a patch over one eye. Doubt it. Stearns values the Organizational depth too much, so probably won’t be seeing Freitas anytime soon. This team needs an offensive shake-up, Freitas, Dubon, Grisham, take your pick.
  14. Houser’s command in the first inning left a lot to be desired. Hoping it gets better quickly, or its not gonna be pretty.
  15. Is Zach Davies a relative of yours?
  16. Are you comparing Davies to Bauer? I hope not. Davies is ok. Bauer is a Verlander type horse that is able to throw more pitches and pitch deeper into games than any pitcher in baseball, that’s ready to explode this year and next. People disagree with you. A lot. I think a lot of it is because many of your ideas are pretty outlandish, and you take offense whenever they are challenged. That’s not a great way to maintain sanity on a fan message board. In my opinion (by the way, that phrase would suit you well often) I read thru this page twice and I’m not the one taking offense. Three people, including you, admonished me or made snide comments towards me, without commenting on the topic. 2 or 3 on this site, do nothing but make snide comments towards me on my posts, without adding to the discussion. Those are the facts > not opinion.
  17. Police found him unresponsive in his hotel room. No foul play is suspected.
  18. If you actually read any of my posts regarding Rasmussen you’d know that I never said that. Like the proverbial fish story, just keeps growing and growing........
  19. Tyler Skaggs has died. No details yet

In my opinion (by the way, that phrase would suit you well often) If I have to print imo any more than I already do I’m gonna puke. I think we’re all smart enough on this site to know none of us work in the Brewers front office, and EVERYTHING We say when arguing a point is an opinion. And I get that people disagree with me a lot. And I admit I make more outlandish statements than anyone on this site. And I have been offensive. But I think that’s more in the past than lately. And if nothing else the devil’s advocate creates interesting thought.
