    AA Biloxi battled yesterday but fell behind 2-0 in their home series against Birmingham. 21-year old RHP Brett Wichrowski (3.25 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 10,4 K/9 in 27.2 IP) makes his 8th start of 2024. Shuckers’ hitters have the highest walk rate (10.0%) in the Southern League.

    The Low-A Mudcats are also tied 1-1 in their home series against Myrtle Beach. 19-year old RHP Bishop Letson (3.38 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 12.9 K/9 in 16 IP) makes his 6th appearance (5th start). SS Cooper Pratt has a .903 OPS over his last 63 PAs.

    Yophery Rodriguez's 3rd inning RBI triple cut Carolina's deficit to 3-2. Cooper Pratt and Juan Baez also have RBI singles, while Daniel Guilarte has singled and scored twice. Daniel Corniel has given up a 2-run double and a solo homer. It's now 3-3 in the 4th inning. Go Mudcats!

    RHP Logan Henderson's rehab stints with ACL Brewers were on May 9 and May 16, so one might expect him to throw for them again tomorrow, Thursday May 23. However, the Timber Rattlers media notes are showing their starting pitcher for Friday, May 24 as TBA. So let's see when and where Logan ultimately throws this week.

    Playing at home against Myrtle Beach, Low-A Carolina turns to RHP Daniel Corniel (2.83 ERA, 1.19 WHIP. 9.4 K/9 in 28.2 IP) as they aim to snap their 5-game losing streak. The Mudcats have K’d 419 hitters while only striking out 325 times themselves.

    Who’s ready for 10:05am baseball? The High-A T-Rats had better be, as they need a win this morning behind LHP Tate Kuehner (4.74 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, 11.8 K/9 in 19 IP) to even their series at South Bend 1-1.

    Clutch hits from 3B Eric Bitonti and DH Eric Martinez, combined with 4 scoreless innings from LHP Anthony Flores gave ACL Brewers a 7-4 win over ACL White Sox. SS Filippo Di Turi reached base 5 times (single, 4 walks) and C Edgardo Ordonez homered for the 2nd straight game.

    I’m guessing Manager Rafael Neda is dealing with a thin bench in Arizona. INF Tyler Rodriguez and C Yannic Walthier haven’t played since May 10 and 13, respectively. OF Pedro Ibarguen left his last game (May 18) after the 1st inning. So that may mean that only 10 position players are available at the moment. Time will tell. They’re in today’s game (down 4-3 in 6th inning), through the ACL White Sox are 1-for-14 with RISP.
