  1. I find it odd that the person who chooses to call CC Sabathia "terrible" is often the one to step to Ben Sheets' defense injury after injury that he sustains.
  2. I respectfully disagree that Sheets' year was a "great" one. Without CC we wouldn't sniff the playoffs because he actually pitched at the end of the season when the big games were taking place. Pitching on 3 days rest 4 times in a row is something the fragile one, Ben, would never dream of doing nor could he do because of his physical shape. But Sheets will be some other team's worry next season thankfully and he can continue his reputation of not being able to be counted on when his team needs him most.
  3. CC was the most dominating Brewers pitcher I have ever watched in my lifetime. Ben Sheets couldn't hold this guys cleats and hat. I am glad that Brewers fans could see the difference between a real ace and a pretender 'ace' that could not be counted on to pitch in big games in big situations. It's very apparent now that Ben Sheets, as godly as some made him seem, has been nothing but a complete and utter disappointment in the last few seasons and this season was the worst. I hope he goes to the Astros. They'll overpay for a walking injury waiting to happen. Whoever gets the ace CC will be one lucky team.
  4. Watching Geoff Jenkins celebrating with champagne in the visitor's dugout is a very befitting end to this season. I'm not optimistic about next year because we won't have Sabathia and we'll still have Suppan. How this team will be better is beyond me.
  5. Regardless of how we're hitting, it's Suppan's job to keep the team in the game. He failed to do that. What good is he in our rotation next year if he can't win games? Terrible signing, Doug.
  6. The board is dead. Is everyone at the game?!
  7. Billy freakin' Hall. Heck of an approach on that at bat. Braun, it's your time now!
  8. Bushie is looking great today. I am impressed with the way he's mixing up his pitches.
  9. I am in the opinion that booing at games is acceptable if a player dogs it or if they make a bonehead play that costs us the game, but I am in total agreement that you cannot boo this team now -- they're in the playoffs. What happens in this series will not be positively affected in any way by fan's booing. At this point, remember that the team has said all the right things and they are happy to bring playoff baseball back to Milwaukee. Let's show our appreciation and cheer loud and proud. We're a good home team -- it's not outside the realm of thinking that we can win two home games in a row here.
  10. Is it fair to call you the fairweather fan of the century? Uh...the guy had a 8.80 ERA last year in the playoffs. He's given up 5 runs in less than 4 innings tonight. I love the guy. I love the Brewers. But come on, don't discount my point just because you're sulking with the Brewers losing...jeez.
  11. With Dave Bush and Suppan waiting in the wings (if necessary) this horror movie is getting scarier and scarier.
  12. He started on 3 days rest 3 straight starts and looked great. Today he's run his fastball up there pretty good and doesn't seem tired. So thus I think the word "choke" can be brought up.
  13. So..is it fair to officially call CC a choker in the playoffs?
  14. Unreal. Well this will be the last time we see CC in a Brewers uniform. Enjoy the time you have of seeing him in Brewer blue.
  15. Hate to say it but that BB might get into CC's head.
  16. I thought when Kendall went to the mound, he told CC to pitch around Feliz with Ruiz and Myers coming up, I'd take my chances with the 8-9 guys rather than Feliz. Guess not.
  17. But wait...isn't Hart the one that is more at ease on the road??
  18. Corey Hart is the worst player on this team right now. Why he is playing baffles me.
  19. I'm not going to be begging for 5 runs, but I would love to see a 2-0 cushion for CC after the Brewers' first AB's. It's going to be key to get off to an early lead vs. a team like the Phillies with a bullpen like theirs.
  20. 2 strikes on Hart...no surprise there with that outcome.
  21. Hart can make up for his less than stellar play as of late with a big hit here.
  22. Clutch BRAUN!!! Nice...if you go down today, at least get some momentum on your side for tomorrow. Come on Prince.
  23. Come on, at least go down with a fight guys....
  24. I agree Ennder. Parra will be a good one. His fastball for a lefty is great and his off-speed stuff should only get better with time. I think he hit the wall and just had "dead arm" late in the year.
