  1. Murderer's Row in Pittsburgh! Well, they've got a hole to dig out of here now...if they cough up a series to these jokers it's definitely gonna feel like rock bottom
  2. Same as Suppan...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  3. Yeah, I'd rather have seen him drive the run in (more upset that JJ and Kendall didn't), but that was the best out he could've gotten in that situation .
  4. He's about the only hitter of theirs I actually fear these days I get the feeling we'll get it back...could be a wild one today. Man, I'm still drinking my morning coffee...this is earlier than 10 AM PST starts for the NFL...
  5. Fitting that he should then be caught stealing...all is right in the world after all?
  6. No one said a fight happened last night that I'm aware of, only that there was the potential for one later this series. And considering the potential fallout of such a thing happening (and relative to other stuff that gets discussed), I don't see how it isn't "worthy of being mentioned."
  7. Yeah, I wasn't gonna start this thread, but when I first heard about/saw the video the other night on DailyMotion (before it was taken down), I was absolutely shocked--the guy who did this should get locked up for a long time. Disappointing, because, frankly, I wouldn't have minded getting an eyeful, but not like this.
  8. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette write-up of the game. A lot of tough guys behind closed doors in the Pittsburgh clubhouse. I can't blame them for getting chippy considering the state of their season (again) and of the franchise. All the more reason not to lose any guys to suspension over these sad-sacks.
  9. Well, I suppose it's worth bumping this. Macha doesn't seem to indicate any interest whatsoever in getting further caught up in this scrum, but you can't help but feel again that this might spill over at some point the next two days. These two teams have not liked each other the last couple years (even though most of the Pirates have turned over since the last time they beat the Brewers).
  10. A hack will be a hack, so I couldn't get too angry with Burns, but those were our 3-4-5 hitters that left two men on with no outs and no runs
  11. I like the concept; they need to keep it fresh now and again (I was also glad to see 'Area Man' in that photo on the front page of American consumers craving fish!)
  12. Well, Lopez has done his part with the bat so far...let's chip away a bit here
  13. Eh, the streak ending doesn't bother me, it was going to end sooner or later. I'm just upset by not having a fighting chance. I'm not one of those people to do a huffy "I never want to see so-and-so play for the Brewers again," after a bad performance, but Mike Burns is sorely testing that. This guy would've been a frustrating addition to the 2003 Brewers, much less a Brewers team that's supposedly a playoff contender.
  14. Sorry CST guys, but I love when these EST weeknight games get delayed a while like this--I should get to see most of it tonight now (knocking on wood again)
  15. Kendall was something like 5 for 14 against Coco, I didn't have a problem with it in that case.
  16. Great play by EncarnacionWarning track out Garbage third strike call A save is a save is a save of course, all I'm saying is that for 7 pitches, that was the worst I've seen him look against the Crew in a while. Just once I'd like to see them get him, he's probably my least favorite ex-Brewer (well, except for you-know-who). Lots of small goats to go around today--I know a lot of attention will go to McClung but I'm actually a little more chapped that he was even thrown out there in the 8th to begin with.
  17. That last strike call looked like garbage to me...for only throwing seven pitches, Coco didn't look so hot there to me. I don't know about lol-ing. Got the job done though I suppose.
  18. Looked like it got one row. Pretty deep part of the park, sure, but Gomes watched that in a way I haven't seen in a while. Anyway, saw this coming a mile away...sure would be nice to get at Coco for once.
  19. Feels like this one is gonna last until the ESPN Sunday Night Game...can't believe we're only in the top of the fourth
  20. Have they announced the distance on that on the Brewers' feed? That was mammoth.
  21. This free preview you speak of... How long does it run? I didnt know they were running one again. These are the only times I get to actually see the crew outside of national TV. Usually for about a week after the ASB It's definitely worth looking into--I got it for the first time last year and don't know how I did without it before. I was able to break the bill up over four payments so I was only paying $40 extra a month for 4 months. Anyway, anyone know how much longer we're looking at?
  22. Actually, I can't stand rain delays on EI since you don't have much idea when it might let up and they resume play--they just blank out the screen. I rely on brewerfan for that info! Anyway, I've mostly been watching the US Gold Cup match, but good on Manny. Wish we could capitalize some more offensively, but hopefully they just call this one.
  23. Agreed. I wish the Brewers hitters were as patient or had such eyes tonight...feels like Harang isn't even in double digits here for pitches
