1:11pm: Ken Davidoff of Newsday says the Brewers are no longer in on Washburn. Yeah, I think this is definitely dead and buried. It doesn't work for us or them at this point.

Even my wife was asking where The Doorman was, and she doesn't even really follow the Brewers. Forget Jack Z...we need The Doorman back!

I watched a lot of him when he was with the Giants and can't imagine what the Brewers would be seeing in him. He was effective out of the pen for a while so maybe they'd be looking for him to fill the McClung role--a role you wouldn't want to invest much in.

Pujols just ended it with 2 outs (on a 3-2 count) in the bottom of the 15th, driving in the winning run on a badly played fly ball. Yuck.

I was embarrassed how much the Brewers' skid and that Dunn AB in the 9th made a Wednesday night July game versus the Nationals feel like a playoff atmosphere

Headed into the 13th still tied There have been some great defensive and just weird plays the last couple innings

Cards tie it up 1-1 in the bottom of the 9th Dodgers go ahead 2-1 in the 11th Cards just tied it back up with the winning run on second and 1 out, ugh. Wouldn't have minded picking one up on the Redbirds this week while they're playing the best team in the league and we're playing the worst. Maybe tomorrow?

It'll be interesting to see what becomes of Alderson. Pittsburgh has been a bit of a black hole for these young stud pitchers the last several years.

I was watching the Brewers on another team's feed a few weeks back (I think it was the Dodgers) and Cat comes up and you hear the song and a few seconds of silence after it stopped and then, "...that's his walk-up song, folks." Have to admit it cracked me up a bit.

5:51pm: Kovacevic is reporting that the minor leaguer is AA pitcher Tim Alderson. This is an impressive haul for Sanchez--Alderson was ranked the #4 prospect in the Giants' system.

Yeah, I agree. With the way the starters have been pitching it doesn't make a lot of sense to wait on any account unless they're just trying to let JJ build up some value.

I'll be in Wisconsin next month for my first game at MP in a few years, and am getting some tickets for August 13th. I'm sure it probably changes from section to section, but I'm just curious about a general idea of the number of rows in a Terrace Reserved section. Since I'll have older people with me, certain numbers just seem too high to begin with, but I'm curious so I can get an idea about general sightlines and whatnot too. Thanks.
