  1. "Deja vu, all over again"
  2. Reminds me of the Cubs' sweep, where we lost the first one with CC on the mound and I felt a creeping bad feeling in my stomach... I'll be happy with 1 of 4, but I think a split is still possible. I think Manny can pull one out of his hat, and I like our chances Sunday. They get swept and it would be disastrous. I don't know they can keep up with Philly and/or Houston with their schedules the rest of the way, and getting swept in key series against contenders like Chicago, the Mets and Philadelphia doesn't bode well for further success, bottom line.
  3. Thanks, I was too exhausted from depression to do the GIS
  4. I'm embarrassed that a comeback win yesterday against a bad Reds team to avoid a sweep at home filled me with confidence the Brewers would charge into Philly
  5. Well, on one hand, maybe this cools off the Astros. On the other it could allow the Cubs to regroup. Likely it won't affect too much either way. Although I do seem to remember the Cubs dealing with some postponement havoc down the stretch last year, which couldn't have helped with their bad play the last week or so and subsequent sweep. Of course, a natural disaster is a terrible thing, so I feel bad even surmising how it will affect these teams (much less hoping it does) on the backs of those folks down in Texas. I hope all's well down there.
  6. I thought that seemed a little bit of a strange suggestion! What about the Louisiana Superdome?
  7. Eugenio Velez with the walkoff triple for the Giants. The Diamondbacks are sinking like the Titanic right now. Remember how tough they looked the first two months? Stinks, I'd really rather they play the Cubs in the 1st round than the Dodgers.
  8. I'm going to root for the Cubs since we have 6 more head-to-head with those guys and it's the tougher part of the Cards' remaining schedule. If the Brewers had lost today it would've been a no-brainer.

  10. Wes Helms helps the Crew for once!
  11. Yeah, that was brutal. I mean, I'll take the run, but wow.

  13. Most cathartic win of the year I feel like Admiral Ackbar after the blow up that Star Destroyer, just spent and releieved [/Too Live Brew]
  14. For the safety of others on the road, I implore you to listen to something more calming instead, like gangsta rap or death metal.
  15. OK, nothing's easy. But it's been a tough week. Please, Sal. Please.
  16. Nice, Cam!!!! Keep it going, Craiggers
  17. Lame, TGJ. CC's no-loss streak stays alive, at least
  18. "M-m-m-m-Mota's In!!!!" has taken on new meaning the last few weeks
  19. OK, another Houdini from CC. Let's keep hope alive here.
  20. Please tell us what he is doing wrong? Again you can only lead the horse to water, you cant make it drink. The hitting coach is the appendix of the coaching world. What has he done to keep his job? Do you think the team would all be hitting over .280 if they only just did everything he says? I'm not saying that the problem resides with him, far from it, but his job performance can be measured in few ways, and unfortunately for Jim, those ways aren't reflecting well for him right now.
  21. This is just a slow-motion car-wreck.
  22. Nix is gone, but I like your idea
  23. I always liked Jim Skaalen, but he needs to go.
