  1. Me neither. In fact, I was upset when Ray-Ray got the walk since I knew--knew!--the double play was now gonna happen. Disgusting.
  2. CC's picked this team up over and over since he got here Hopefully the team can repay the favor.
  3. So, that was Jerry Hairston Jr., folks. Nothing going right for this team right now.
  4. Oh no, just when I thought I'd seen the end of that red goatee. Now it's in a Brewers' uni. Well, given the state of the pen these days, why not. I just seem to remember the Brewers always rocking him. So long, Laynce...the last direct trace of El Caballo's time here.
  5. If the Brewers blow it, maybe there'll be a thread as funny as the "The Day the Brewers Died" thread from last year So, bye-bye to the Miller Park fans; Just another gray October makin' off-season plans...
  6. I bet they get as many hits each day as their daily circulation if not more. These websites are the future of the newspaper industry, and presumably they know it. I'd hope they don't treat it as a rough draft.
  7. They take one of four they're still in first. Assuming they don't lose a game today.
  8. I hope for your sake, EL C., that your post was meant to be in blue. Don't waste your sobriety on this pile of crap. It was but im just trying to Vent... LETS VENT!! (ok sorry about that) Haha, this was good. I always thought the guy in the commercial reminded me of Billy Hall. The source of much vent-ing.
  9. The Large Hadron Collider's gonna take away our pain tomorrow.
  10. Vent: we are the Cubs' silver lining right now.
  11. Fans don't show up during a playoff chase and then they don't stay. Our bullpen's wildly inconsistent. Ned's a peabrain. Our big bats are letting us down when we need them the most. Weeks can't field which was easily dealt with when it was thought he could hit (he can't). They take advantage of nothing. Yeah, I'm pretty disgusted with this franchise right now.
  12. I'll take it, too. I don;t know how long they're gonna keep getting it, though. This was a huge opportunity missed, in a homestand that was one gigantic opportunity missed.
  13. I know it's late there. It's still ridiculous that during a playoff chase that 1) that many people have left and 2) there weren't that many people there to begin with. It's a schoolnight everywhere and other contending cities brought more people out. Again, embarrassing. Then again, I don't blame them. "Golden egg? Oh, no thanks" The worst part of this is that you know about four or five other cities went nuts when Phillips made that RBI. I want to bang my head against a wall right now.
  14. Well, I'm in knots. What's with only about 5000 (if that) still being there? Milwaukee fans are embarrassing.
  15. Yeah. we're lucky it's not 5-4 right now
  16. I just got home, what happened to the pink
  17. These guys pull the carpet out from under you better than almost any team I've ever been a fan of
  18. Jorge Cantu with the three-run jack to give the Marlins a 7-1 lead in the 2nd over the Phillies LET'S PICK LAST NIGHT BACK UP
  19. Yeah, beyond the Young and the Restless, I got flashbacks to Dane Cook's spot last September. At least they got to end up using his tags for the Rockies http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  20. Haha, oh man. Good one, Sal. Nice timing.
  21. That had nothing to do with the town, but people took it so personally that I think many people believe it did.
  22. He did it at the tail end of the show so there wasn't the usual brown-nosing he does. To be fair, it wasn't the greatest but it was pretty good. Let's cross our fingers it translates into some Jungle Karma the rest of the way--Braunie hit a game-winning jack the night after his Rome radio interview this year.
  23. Rome asks if the team is at all concerned? "Ahhhhhh...I don't think so." Would rather struggle now than later. They get over the losses pretty quick. Last year helped a lot to adjust. Definitely will be a lot of fun the last 18 games. They're having fun. Has never seen anything like CC, he's "been a lot of fun to play behind." If CC carries the Brewers to the playoffs he thinks he deserves the Cy--maybe even the MVP (agrees with Rome). Team was angrier than CC about the one-hitter. Said they should've acted like he got it, mobbed him on the mound, give him the beer shower, etc. JJ asked him how he deals with it afterwards and CC says the same thing happened to him in the minors. Says Sheets beating Peavy picked the team up a lot. Hardy says he doesn't dial it up more when the game's on the line but he just gets a lot of opportunities and says when there's success the confidence builds up, which helps the ability. Hardy says his preparation away from the park is done by Sveum in terms of defense, credit goes there. Rome asks about team's confidence in bullpen and Hardy says "Ah, yeeeeah, we still do" and mentions the offense has been bad and they need to pick it up. Thinks that the pen will pick it up and finish strong. Again, would rather stumble now than later. Decent interview. Eh.
  24. Coming on right now
