  1. Who's the rest of the crowd? Brewers' employees? Or are they just at a random bar? People don't seem all that interested in them.
  2. Yeah, I've actually been avoiding getting one--I figure the more options I have the more TV I'll watch! For now I just catch stuff I've missed on OnDemand. Obviously that doesn't work with the Brewers but if they start at 5 PST I'm usually OK with getting home in time to watch from about the 2nd or 3rd inning on...that's doable for me.
  3. White Sox over Twins in play-in Rays over White Sox in 4 Angels over Red Sox in 5 Angels over Rays in 5 Cubs over Dodgers in 3 Phillies over Brewers in 5 Cubs over Phillies in 6 Cubs over Angels in 6
  4. Much the same boat here; I started a new job this past Spring and have all my tiny "new employee" allotted vacation time booked up. I'm pretty much known as "The Brewers Fan" here (in fact it was how my new boss introduced me at a local industry event) so faking illness is out of the question. I'm just going to take a long lunch tomorrow starting at 1 PST...I'd rather see the end of the game than the start, especially since the game is in Philadelphia. Thursday I luck out with the later start time and will skip lunch and just leave at 4 PST, so I can watch the last couple hours again. I can get by following online before then--no choice, really. If there's any highlight I really want to see I can catch it online later. Not ideal but what I've got to do. Since they'll be in Milwaukee, I'm really glad Games 3 and 4 are during the weekend so I can see them in their entirety, player introductions, et cetera.
  5. Well, the NL Comeback Player of the Year's 41-for-41 conversion rate doesn't provide me with much evidence and/or hope he will.
  6. he is an independent musician being paid by the milwaukee brewers (or Fridays's, which is located in the stadium run by the milwaukee brewers)Well, what I meant is maybe the Brewers/Fridays want to be a little clearer to these independent musicians what they expect of them: to solely entertain the crowd as musicians, or to also act as repressentatives/cheerleaders for the team. I'm not saying I'd have liked hearing it (especially under the circumstances), but I personally thought it was harmless and the Brewers look worse making a deal about firing the guy. It reminds me of the time Rick Schlessinger from the Brewers' front office got in front of the press and said the Randall Simon incident was "one of the most outrageous things I've ever seen inside a ball park - or outside a ball park." Yeah, it was pretty crummy, but get a grip.
  7. Out-of towner?!?!? He was born and raised in old Milwaukee, played for the Milwaukee Braves, and has been the Brewers' radio guy since day one. In a lot of ways I think he is Milwaukee personified--not the prettiest fella on the block but a hard worker full of great spirit and good cheer.
  8. Surprised there hasn't been a thread yet about this petty intrigue. I think the Brew Crew's being a little heavy-handed here given the situation--just a chorus, he was responding to a crowd full of Cubs fans, he's an independent musician, not a mascot, etc. Maybe even a little hypocritical on the Brewers' part given they themselves marketed directly to Cubs fans just a few short years ago.
  9. I'll say the comparison is valid if the Brewers win a title with him. Garnett's problem was always falling in the playoffs (as has been CC's). Plus, the Milwaukee Brewers as a franchise are hardly the Boston Celtics.
  10. We Got Now by Little Brother
  11. I believe you can order them directly from the Journal-Sentinel
  12. I believe you can order them directly from the Journal-Sentinel
  13. Of the remaining playoff teams, the Brew Crew has been swept by the Phillies, Red Sox and Cubs and was an extra-innings hit away from getting swept by the Dodgers. (We also got swept by also-rans the Mets, Marlins and Astros)
  14. This is the greatest, guys. Wow.
  15. "I've grown accustomed to her faaaace...."
  16. I want to give you all a big kiss on the chops
  17. I wish I could be in a room with all you guys watching the end of this Mets game It's kinda lonely here in SF going nuts by myself!

  19. I'd say that's second to Coop's 2-RBI in Game 5 of the '82 ALCS in terms of Greatest Brewer Moments My screams and shouts nearly blew the roof off
  20. I HATE HATE HATE that Extra Innings won't stick with Brewers Live through the end of the Mets game, good result for the Crew or bad I mean, I know that's the deal, but today of all days I really want to see all the interviews, etc
