  1. The ultimate indignity: they're pitching Eyre against us.
  2. I know this is ultimately wrong and bad, but right now I'd love to see Mark A go Steinbrenner on these guys and angrily call them out in the press
  3. Have you been slammin' High Lifes with Bob? I'm taking my lumps from my Cubs fan friends now.
  4. Yeah, the 21-run differential this series hasn't gotten the message to them.
  5. A series loss I can accept, a sweep I can even deal with, but the whipping they've subjected to is bile-inducing.
  6. 29-8! Wow! This is a 14-car pileup.
  7. 27 to 8 this series, unbelieveable
  8. I bet the atmosphere is pretty ugly there today...it's been my experience that weekday games at MP are bereft of families (although there's the occasional large camp group) and full of drinking men.
  9. The difference between them sweeping us at MP and us sweeping the Cards at Busch is that they've absolutely punched us in the mouth. The Crew pulled off late inning theatrics to squeak by in St. Louis. Cubs came to play and the Brewers look limp. God, they just played WGN radio's call of the Edmonds granny on a KNBR sports update just now...I absolutely despise the sound of Ron Santo's celebratory "non-verbals"
  10. Agreed. I was shocked to see his name in the lineup today--well, as shocked as I can be with Nedley at the helm.
  11. Well, we were never shut out this week at the least Sure wouldn't mind an inspiring comeback here but I shan't hold my breath.
  12. It's been a rough week. Even so, we've made the commitment, and we're going for it, and why not? They're 11 over .500 and in the thick of the WC race. Heck, we've got 6 more against the Cubs and we went 4-2 against them before this week. This isn't over by any stretch. Calendar says July.
  13. Funny, MLB.com just took the deal off their site. They had it as: Bay for "prospects including" SS Reid Brignac and RHP Jeff Niemann http://blogs.tampabay.com/rays/

  15. Interesting deal for the Rays; glad to see Bay out of the division. Edit: Deal was confirmed by mlb.com, then taken off...move as needed

  17. Do you seriously think it means the end of the season, though, phxMILWfan? Come now. It's a real hit to our division chances but not fatal, and we're right in the thick of things for the wild card. Come on. That said, this series gas been an absolute farce: Brewers can do no right, Cubs can do no wrong. All I can do is laugh bitterly at this point.
  18. This series literally could not have gone any worse.
  19. Yeah, glad I no longer live in Chicago this week...I'd definitely have gotten into some kind of ugly confrontation.
  20. Oh man, I go to make a couple calls for work, turn around and WHHHAAAAAATTTT Jim Edmonds. This is not our week, guys.
  21. If it were mid-September they'd be breaking my heart. As it stands, this is a pretty brutal stretch, but they've come a long way already and there's still two months and 6 head-to-heads with the Cubs after this series. I have no doubt they can still make a run for the division no matter what happens tomorrow, and at the least there's the Wild Card.
  22. So it appears that the light at the end of the tunnel was an oncoming train
  23. I'm going to go to the happy place now, guys
  24. Yawn... What an embarrassing scene...shooting off the fireworks for a meaningless Prince homer in the bottom of the 9th in front of 20,000 lingering drunk Illinoisans
