And not one of those balls were hard hit. It always bugs me when Brewers fans crow about predicting some kind of ill befalling the team regardless...why would you brag about something like that? Lead's intact; let's get some runs.
I agree that they have a better chance at the Wild Card but I can't help but imagine a Brewers-style mid and late-season collapse what with all their young guys. I mean, it's only a .5 lead
I don't want to complain, but this so easily could've been a 4 game sweep of the division-leaders...I guess we had to have Saturday in order to get Friday, though Two of three against the Dodgers now and I'll be a happy man
That was the most fun I've had watching an inning since the 9th in Chicago a week and a half ago Who knew that watching this team could indeed be an enjoyable experience?
As long as the charities don't get the short-shrift, what's the problem here? Let's, uh, keep the issue in the forefront of our minds, right? (Was gonna put that in blue, but...)
I meant to mention this earlier but I've been too caught up in the season itself. Word coming out of Sarasota the last few weeks is that the town is gunning for the Red Sox. I haven't heard a Brewers mention out of there in a long time (darn it). I don't know what may be going on with any other Florida (or Arizona) location. From today's Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
It's a lovely ensemble; Mssr. Ely and I watched Yo get lit up in San Francisco last year while he was wearing it so I can't confirm the veracity of its fortuity. You'll be in good hands regardless if you meet up with him. Looks like graduation weekend got a lot of you stuck on the edges of town; hope you have a good time all the same. As an impartial observer I've watched them take it to out-of-towners ion the bleachers but generally in a pretty good-natured way. They'll be more concerned with giving it to Gagne anyway. Go Crew.
That's awesome bensheeps...during today's broadcast I could see some of the Culver's MLM kids and their moms running out on to the field behind Rock and BA and wondered if your kid was among the ones I saw Glad it was a great day for all involved (including us watching at home!)
1. For some reason I thought tomorrow was a night game. Between the 11 AM PST start time and the two bottles of Zin my wife and I drank this evening after a long day in the park, tomorrow is a wash at work. 2. I always get nervous when woogie disappears for a while after last year's slide corresponded with his disappearance. Glad to see him here today though. Awesome work as always. 3. Match-up is brutal, but as the greats (i.e. Hawing) say, that's why they play the games... Here's to Dave holding his own against his second dragon of the season
Strange. I'd love to see Big Ben in the Boston series for a variety of reasons (I'm sure he himself would love to pitch there), but I'm not sure I understand this thinking this time of year. I'd like to think there are some match-up issues I'm not yet aware of but maybe it's as simple as getting our big dog in one of the more prominent series we'll have this year...? Huh?!?
