  1. His current OBP is .372. Keep it above .350 and the Brewers would be overjoyed.
  2. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we won't need a SS because Urias is going to be just fine.
  3. I know. Small sample. But Brewer batters look lost.
  4. Maybe we are working on a Garcia trade?
  5. MLB trying to keep fans interested.
  6. In response to Old School and DHonks I am a huge Brewer fan but also accept the "situation" the Brewers are in. However, I am realistic about their chances. Agreed, they had a "chance" in 2018. But how small of a chance was it? The team that beat them lost in 5 games and the only game that they won was an extra inning game. Boston was better. It was their 4 title in 15 years and it was the Brewers first chance since 1982. That sums up the what small market teams are up against.
  7. Seager is owed $18.5 this year and if traded $15 next year. Left handed hitter with decent power and OBP. Could you get the Mariners to pay $13 million of that? 2 years $20 million would seem to work for a power hitting left handed bat. Tide us over until we find/develop a young 3B.
  8. This in reference to DHonks. Nice success. Yes we have been competitive but no chance to win the World Series. And don't say 2018 because nobody was beating the Red Sox that year. Again a big money spending team wins it all. Sure there are no dynasties except you have to spend a lot of money to win the ultimate prize.
  9. Ok so as soon as I vent and say nothing is going to happen, it does. I'm wrong as usual.
  10. Like it a lot. Much better on defense. Hiura can DH in a year if 1B doesn't work. OBP was/is a weak area for Brew Crew. Makes us better.
  11. Here is my Brewer vent. We are done adding this off-season. Oh, maybe we get another Robertson type addition, but something “major” is not happening. I don’t blame Stearns/Antanasio/Brewers. I put the blame on MLB and the players. Money is the only thing that dictates what they do. Small market franchises are here so there can be 30 teams in the league to provide fodder for the big market teams. Everyone involved, players included, care little about anyone else but themselves. So if you are a Brewer/small market fan just stop whining about how your team hasn’t signed anyone. Why? Because they don’t care.
  12. They will be traded before they hit $30 million. That would be somewhere close to $55 million for them and Yelich. No way does that happen. Someone will be moved.
  13. I'm looking forward to baseball. Is that being optimistic?
  14. IS there a complete list of the Brewers signings along with their bonus $?
  15. My guess is that the Brewers want to see if the offense rebounds from last year. If it does and with the pitching we have we can win the Central. That is not anything new to anybody but here is my problem with the bigger picture. It is pretty easy to say that the Dodgers, Padres, Mets and Braves have better teams than the Brewers. Then you have the Nats, Cardinals and Phillies who are at least as hopeful as the Brewers. We are a middle of the pack team in the NL.
  16. The extension, while a lot of money, is still a team friendly one for a superstar. People would be interested. I'm not but I am a nobody.
  17. I have as high of hopes for Burnes as anyone but considering him an "ace" based on 2018 where he was used as a relief pitcher, 2019 where nothing went right and a 9 start 2020 seems a bit hopeful. If a good package is offered I think you have to listen as we really aren't sure who CB really is.
  18. When will we start hearing about the players that have been signed by the Brewers?
  19. In reference to SomewhereInTime's post. I think that there are two type's of fans. Those that feel "for me I enjoy watching a competitive team all summer and I hope the Brewers can advance as far as possible. That does not mean anything short of a championship is failure, if you have that mentality, basically every year will be failure. What would be the point of devoting any time to following something like that?" But there are those that want to win a championship. Neither is right or wrong. But to feel that those who want, at all cost, to win a WS don't tell them they should be satisfied with making the playoffs the last 3 years. Your opinion is just as important as the next person who posts here.
  20. One week away from the start of the International signing period. I'm looking forward to reading about our new prospects. While I tend to agree that quantity over quality seems to be working for the Brewers I wish we were a bit higher up the "board" with our signees. But just need to trust the process and the next Acuna/Albies can reside in Milwaukee. We need a couple of lower dollar signees to turn out like those two. Maybe we can look back and say this happened with Hedbert.
