  1. It is completely silly to defend the Brewers this year You & I both know that they have performed poorly against the NL Central bottom three - Reds, Cubs, & these pesky Pirates Burnes started tonight … he was bad … we should win these games easily … we don’t have a good team - even if we somehow escape this game with a win
  2. Are you aware we just tied the Pirates - who are awful - after Burnes pitched a stinker? This has not been a fun game, a fun team … & like anyone with a brain - yes, I’m thrilled to see Mitchell go deep It should not have come down to a late rally … the game is not over … Williams had to pitch yesterday when we almost blew another lead against a terrible opponent Hopefully, Williams can get through the 9th without giving up a run & we win it in walk off fashion … that would be fun
  3. Even yesterday’s win was not very fun … having to use Williams to close out the game … there aren’t enough games like the 7-0 win on Sat … almost every game is full of drama … I’m not a fan of the new playoff structure - it keeps bad teams like Milwaukee in the hunt when they could have accepted their plight & called up several prospects to acclimate to the big leagues in preparation for another run next year I understand the appearance of my earlier post - frustration spilling over again … even on a Monday Was hoping we might somehow go on a run & win several games against these horrible opponents - but it’s clear to me that we are as bad as they are & the results prove that fear
  4. One other comment … I was a college newspaper editor & my undergraduate degree is in journalism I’m quite intentional in how I communicate
  5. Thank you … I’m almost blind … this works better for my poor eyesight
  6. I am a true Brewer Fanatic That said … I hate watching & following this 2022 team I don’t ever remember feeling as much disgust & disappointment with a team as I do this one Every day - I am anxious & hope they don’t do something stupid When they win, I feel relief rather than joy Most days - win or lose - it is unbearable to watch I can’t wait for this season to end I hope they make wholesale changes - trade as many players as possible & restock with young talent I would rather lose for a few years than endure another season like this one I seldom get angry enough to curse - but all it takes is watching this team play poorly for a few innings I can’t be the only one who feels this way The only thing more aggravating than their poor play is the eternal optimists on the board who suggest “hang in there - it’s a long season - we will be fine”
  7. Brewers continue to struggle against horrible opponents Blow up this team Trade big arms for prospects No way this group can win a series in postseason Running into outs at home & squandering opportunities when you are at best mediocre will cause you to lose games to bad teams Several times recently I suggested this disappointing team finishes 81-81 I fear that is an accurate outcome
  8. Josh Hader trade turning into disaster for Padres https://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/josh-hader-struggles-padres-trade/603180
  9. It would be epic if he was non-tendered by SDP … re-signed with Milwaukee … had an incredible start to the season … & was traded at the deadline in 2023 - for a major league bat!
  10. It would be epic if he was non-tendered by SDP … re-signed with Milwaukee … had an incredible start to the season … & was traded at the deadline in 2023 - for a major league bat!
  11. I wonder what percentage of fans are like me in that once a player is traded away or chooses to sign & play elsewhere … I’m no longer a fan … I’m not hoping he fails, but I don’t mind if he does I’m a Brewers fan … I pull for whatever players are currently on our team & for the rare “lifers” who play their entire careers with Milwaukee The most painful departure for me was Molitor in 1992 … that stung for a few years … I was glad when he retired … very similar to how I felt with Favre playing for the Jets & Vikings - hard to watch … especially if he succeeded against my Packers (Favre) or Brewers (Molitor) As for Hader … what a disaster … so glad he’s not still a Brewer … he’s been horrific in San Diego & was bad for the last several outings before he was traded - good timing on that trade for sure I hope Hader & all the Padres play & pitch poorly through the end of the season … otherwise, the Brewers are unlikely to make the playoffs as I don’t see them catching the Cards or the Phils Unlike many others on this forum, I’m not the least bit surprised at Hader’s continued meltdown - I lost all confidence in him in his outing against San Francisco when he gave up 3 HRs & six runs to blow a save while only recording only one out … I’ve never witnessed a worse outing - although today appears to be a close second
  12. The Brewers really missed the quality ABs from Jace Peterson He’s a nice addition for a potential September run
  13. Yelich is red hot That could have been his 7th straight hit - including a couple of no doubter HRs
  14. For what it’s worth - Sixto Lezcano is one of my all-time favorite Brewers (Top 5) … so at least we have that in common
  15. I’m not sure I understand But I don’t mind if you want to say something candid & forthright I’m not a fan of kidney punches I respect people who speak directly rather than sheepishly Yelich has been a major disappointment & has severely underperformed for the past three seasons My post was fairly clear - I hope he gets hot & helps this free-falling team turn their season around
  16. It is more desire than statement How is the idea funny? He has three hits tonight
  17. If only Yelich could get hot for the final 40 games of the season
  18. I simply don’t understand posts like this one after watching the 2022 Brewers
  19. I would guesstimate 10-12 games where our starters have pitched well enough to win with average offense … but all of those are losses because this team underperforms I wish the season ended this weekend I hate watching this team lose or play poorly day after day - especially against such terrible teams as the Cubs, Pirates, & Reds You would hope the next 18 games against opponents with sub .500 records would produce a 14-4 run … I don’t believe this crew can win at that rate - which would be required to get back in the postseason Such a disappointing team & season
  20. What is the logic / thought behind making the change now at 82 pitches? Third time through the order?
