  1. It’s amazing how quiet all those Hader fans - who were so vocal at the beginning of the original “Hader traded to the Padres” thread - are now. So many were ready to lynch Stearns & the majority were disgusted by the return. The trade is looking much better by the day. Great job, Stearns! Thanks for reminding us that you are indeed a great GM.
  2. I fear Milwaukee may have missed out on their best opportunity to “unload” Ethan Small in a trade at this year’s deadline His low velocity coupled with his lack of control (leading to far too many walks) will keep him from making an impact for the Brewers at the big league level I dont see him getting any better Wish we had traded him & a few other minor leaguers for a decent bat

  4. One of the first things I do each morning is check to see if Hader had another bad outing I also check the scores of teams with whom we are competing for a playoff spot Currently … We are four games behind the Cards in the division & their remaining schedule is much easier than Milwaukee’s We are two games back of Philly for one of the wildcard spots We are one game back of the Padres for the final wildcard spot San Diego has played four more games & has one more loss than the Brewers I’m not hopeful, but will continue to cheer for our underperforming Brew Crew Several in this forum “believe” - possibly based on Atlanta’s 2021 World Series championship - that once we get to the playoffs, anything is possible I hope they are right … here’s hoping that we get another “bite of the apple” in 2022
  5. I guess Brewers management will wait for him to come back to earth before they consider promoting him to the big league roster … let him cool off to be more similar to the current Brewers hitters
  6. I’m curious to see how Hader compares to Rogers come season’s end I believe Brewers fans will be pleased & feel some relief
  7. I may re-post that original post-Hader trade comment every time he blows another save … which could be often … unless San Diego removes him from that role - which would be wise
  8. Should your comment be in blue? I assume you are being sarcastic My loyalties are always going to be with whoever is currently a Brewer Once traded or playing for another team, I no longer have interest in “former” Brewers success or failure My only reason for posting that I was in support of the Hader trade was to suggest that I am not surprised by his sudden & drastic slide to “terrible” & “unreliable” I don’t wish him any harm, but I hope he continues to struggle because we need to surpass San Diego for a wild card spot or miss the playoffs altogether This year’s Brewer team will NOT catch the Cardinals - we’ve lost 8 games to them in the standings in the last month
  9. I was in favor of this trade on the day it happened Here is my post on the Brewer Fanatic fan forum when I heard Hader was shipped to San Diego Notice that I didn’t even know how to spell Rogers yet ?
  10. This is amazing …
  11. This is pitiful What a terribly disappointing team & season Dreadful
  12. So we need another 9th inning comeback to tie a dreadful team & hope for a late inning miracle
  13. This season is “death by 1000 cuts” If they are going to lose out on making the playoffs, I’d rather they fall apart now … lose 8 of 10 … instead of splitting with the Dodgers & then not showing up against weak opponents like the Cubbies I enjoyed watching the Lopes Brewers more than this bunch - I expected them to lose but they occasionally surprised me The opposite is true this year
  14. Do you believe that 23-18 is “handling” those three teams?
  15. Two thoughts: 1. If you can’t handle the Cubs, Pirates, & Reds … your team has no business in the playoffs - even the diluted version 2. Ashby needs to go the the pen … he is not currently a quality starter He cost his team three runs with fundamentals - being slow to the bag to start the inning As I’ve stated repeatedly - this 2022 team is hard to watch… no enjoyment at all
  16. This was a good trad I said so at the time he was traded Good riddance
  17. Brewers have to hope the Phillies or Padres tumble The Cardinals have a fairly easy schedule to close out the year & they are coming together for the home stretch I disdain … despise … hate the Cards - but I believe they are a better “team” than my beloved Brewers this season Both teams have had their share of injuries … no excuses … but it will be challenging to catch them
  18. It’s slipping away 3 games back of STL 2 back of SD missed opportunities night in & night out we haven’t had a good offensive showing in a while
  19. Lauer deserves better So sad to see these great pitching performances go for naught game after game
  20. Brewers will finish season 81-81 They don’t have what it takes to turn this season around Three month slumps don’t just go away Time to watch the Packers & get ready for Spring Training I can’t wait to see Frelick & Turang next year in the bigs
