Just flipping through channels and lo and behold there it is. Surprised it wasn't a bigger announcement. There goes any productive time I had left.

We've decided to finally try one of these and have tickets for the August 2nd luncheon. Gallardo, Roenicke, and Provus supposed to be in attendance. I know they say "Due to time constraints, autographs will not be allowed during the luncheon sessions.", but can anyone give me an idea of what to expect from the luncheon?

Add to that hawing and one of my students who knows enough about baseball to know that guessing Prince when the question has anything to do with an ERA is flat out embarrassing. That contestant is lucky we were sitting in the stratosphere today, otherwise he'd have heard me booing.As he answered, I turned to my wife and said, "Someone will post this on the game thread." I am and have always been a big Gomez fan, though admittingly I have always over-valued speed (undoubedtly due to my complete lack of it). There have been numerous times that I have said to my wife and/or son while watching a game, "Gomez is the only player on the roster that makes that play." - whether it be running a ball down in the outfield, taking an extra base or beating out a throw (all 3 in the game yesterday). I'll admit he is frustrating at times, but each time I'm about ready to give up on him, he has a game like yesterday or makes a play like beating the Cubs last year on the stolen base, move to third on the Counsell bunt and score on the poor throw all in the same play. I agree with most others that right now he doesn't fit in the 2 spot of the lineup, but I find myself pulling for him more than almost any other Brewer. On a team of "offense-first, poor-defense" players, if he progresses to even an average offensive player, Gomez is the type of player that we need to even out the roster.

Great day at the park! Roof open, my son got autographs from Axford, Loe, Estrada, Narveson, & Greinke and a great finish from Casey. Only downside was the fact that there appears to be a new camera worker near us, so my kids didn't get on the scoreboard today. Invader Thanks for doing all the leg work on this. We would be fine with the Great Dane, private room or not. Not sure if Babes would be another option or not. Only there once to watch a game, but seemed to have plenty of tv's if people wanted to keep up with WIAA finals or NCAA tourney while we met. Babes

My wife and I have made the trip to Milwaukee each of the last two years for the winter meetings & love the fact that a Madison site would cut our travel in half. Count us in for the 26th if you can get enough to have the event.

Gomez plays the way he did in September (.400 obp) causing at least one poster to make some remark about the pitch he took off the helmet in early August "Maybe finally knocking some sense into him." Counsell spends the spring going through nagging injuries reaffirming the notion that Cruz needs to be included on the opening day roster -

Cappy Your perseverance is an excellent model that I will continue to hold up to young athletes. My son and I had the pleasure to talk to you a couple of times at away ballparks. A few years ago in Atlanta, you spent more time than any other player before or since talking with a middle-aged fan and his young son. Last year in St. Louis you did the same again during bp. The picture I took that day of you and my son hangs on my filing cabinet in my classroom and will continue to stay there. You will continue to be one of our favorites. Best of luck.
