  1. Notso I'll pile on and say that sounds absolutely wonderful. My wife is a huge fan of green peppers and garlic, so we may have to steal your recipe for the next cookout.
  2. I envy those of you that got to see the first "Trevor Time" live. I DVR'ed the entrance for my 11 year old son so that he could watch it this morning. A great way to wake up and get ready for school.
  3. Did not know if hawing would admit to the fact that we would sit with them.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Looking forward to seeing/meeting some of you during the game and as I told Hawing, showing the couple going with us that I'm not the only "crazy Brewer fan" around.
  4. Good at bats from the bottom of the order...Hall with good patience and Kendall driving a ball to score the run.
  5. Just read the same article from the Boston Globe. A couple of other Brewer mentions in it. First, talks about possible Boston interest in Mitch Stetter. "The Sox, who scouted him last week, are simply being thorough and exploring options in case they come to need another lefty in the pen." Second, Cafardo calls Milwaukee one of the teams that could use Frank Catalanotto. (Both blurbs can be found on page 4 from the link jvrocksaz posted)
  6. Sounds like chance of more rain in Philly today. Anyone got early word on how it looks if this game will be played?
  7. My wife and I are also trying to move a few things around with our schedule to make this work. Hoping we can get a large group of bf.netters there.
  8. Thanks Pedro. Sent you a PM.
  9. Interested what Macha does to the lineup after his comments about a shakeup tonight with Dempster's past success versus the Brewers. Manny Parra is 2 for 2 against Dempster in his career with a double and a triple. Manny batting 2nd and playing center? **PA** AB H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS Manny Parra 2 2 2 1 1 0 0 0 0 1.000 1.000 2.500 3.500
  10. Gotta love that Comcast comes on at 9:00 (DishNetwork channel 429) so able to watch the 9th inning. Maybe I should turn it back off.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  11. I'll echo what others have said about it being one of the best (if not the best) crowds for opening day. I know some of the rest of you have already decided to swear off opening day attendance (my wife and I have been thinking the same thing for the last couple of years), but this year's crowd will keep our 15 year tradition alive for at least one more year. My opening day story... My son took one of his ratty old balls down to the right field corner during pre-game hoping to get some signatures of the pitching staff. He managed to get Riske and Coffey (Sam had a nice short discussion with Coffey and congratulated him on escaping the bases loaded jam in SF). Seth McClung stopped over next. Took one look at Sam's ball and said with a smile "That ball is crap." Seth reached in his pocket and handed Sam a clean ball after autographing it.
  12. Actually, it went for $152.50 as I maxed out at $150. Like you said, no big deal, but I'd like to find a seat some time.
  13. Great offers as always Pedro. I'd be interested in the Davis mini bobble.
  14. 12-10. An ok start especially figuring games against tough competition in the Cubs, Mets and Phils.
  15. The game is not showing up on the Dish Network guide. Any Dish Network users have a clue?
  16. If Counsell needs surgery, do we need to get Hall some time at shortstop this week? I would assume that if Hardy came out of a game, Billy would make more sense than McGehee at short to finish the game.
  17. It all makes sense now. Gallardo isn't named as the opening day pitcher because Peavy will soon be added to take that spot. Gallardo stays on track to pitch game 2 and Suppan is bumped to the pen. (Sigh...Wish that didn't have to be written in blue.)
  18. bigjase Sent you a message. bensheeps
  19. Teaching and coaching in a district near Benton gave me the opportunity to see them play a few times over the last couple of years. As good as they are at basketball, Coach Blaine and his players were even better at being "classy". Seeing them win a gold ball and being rewarded for doing things the right way reminds me why I coach high school sports.
  20. If Duffy were to be moved, does that make Gwynn or Nixon our 4th outfielder? (Not a pleasant thought either way)
  21. Thanks to all (Jaime) that help organize the event. Other than the fact that my wife couldn't get the bar to find the girls' state basketball games and the music level as others have said, it was a great night. We will try to make the trip again for the next meeting.
  22. 20 pack arrived today. All is right in the world! Now bring on the winter get-together tomorrow and it can finally be spring.
  23. Sunday plus pack and no tickets here in SW Wisconsin yet either.
  24. Speaking of Nelson...Has anyone seen him play 3rd base? Baseball-reference has him at 25 games played in the minors at the position. If he could be at least serviceable there, I could see Lamb as being the odd man out.
  25. temke Our two extras came today as well.
