  1. Terrace Box for the NLDS and Club for NLCS.
  2. Don't know what's worse...the way the Brewers are playing or the fact that I will sit and watch them again tonight.
  3. Agreed naivin. I was applauding the IBB, but I assumed that meant that Shouse was done. With as much emphasis put on game one, will the Crew show up at all for the nightcap or will it get even uglier?
  4. Mota does his job. Stetter or Shouse in the eighth?
  5. Don't disappear offense. A lot of baseball left today.
  6. After watching yesterday, the answer is obvious...following Skaalen's ejection, 4 of the next 5 batters reached. We should have brought up minor league coaches instead of players. Work out a schedule for one coach to be tossed per inning. If need be, Kapler finishes the game as player/manager. Offesives WOAH SOLVDD.
  7. I think that people were a little quick on the boo wagon again with booing Parra, Hall, and pretty much anyone other than JJ Hardy, who didn't do anything to help the 5 run inning with his own error. Hall's error was atrocious, but I think peoples hatred towards him is a bit much. Agreed (but I don't want to turn this into another "Is booing all right?" thread). As we left, I reminded my son that any day at the ballpark is better than almost any day elsewhere. Others in our section certainly seemed in a foul mood almost from the beginning today. Think my 3-year-old daughter had the best plan for the day as she fell asleep on my lap during the 2nd inning and slept until bottom of the fourth. Missed out on the 5-run inning and woke up ready to cheer all over again.
  8. DVR for both games. Brewer game as soon as I get home and Packers following. Might make for a late Monday night and unproductive Tuesday. To all other Brewerfan teachers...would a full day of quizzes for my high schoolers be acceptable on Tuesday? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Struggle to find a positive from the game today as well. Hawing's "save" for my son and I might be the best thing and it happened 40+ minutes before the first pitch. This was our last game on our 9pack, so now there has to be post-season baseball so this game is not the last taste in my mouth for the long winter months.
  10. Our letter came in the mail today (dated that it was sent on Sept. 3). It states: "As a 9-pack ticket holder, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to purchase postseason tickets to one NLDS game and one NLCS game." We may purchase the tickets on the web on Wednesday September 17th. It goes on to state that they will begin the process of identifying open tickets for the general public on Sept 19th.
  11. Great day all around. Exciting win. Bill Hall finally with a nice day offensively. My son with his first "alternate" bobble head My 3-year-old daughter lets us stay til the end. Good burgers and custard following the game with hawing's entourage.
  12. In Ben's rookie year of 2001, my son (3 year old at the time), wife, and I made the trip to Pittsburgh to follow the Crew. Yes, this was the miserable series following the infamous "sweep suits". Noticing the new, young phenom signing near the visitor's dugout, my son and I decided to try to get an autograph. Upon reaching Ben, my son let out a loud "Hi Ben Sheeps!" The 2nd time Sam said it, I apologized to Ben. The 3rd time, Ben looked my young son straight in the face and let out a mighty BAAAA. Ben gained fans for life that day.
  13. 1. Hall 2. Hart 3. Yo 4. Braun 5. Bush Got to agree with Glennron, Cappy would be #2. Hopefully he can be again.
  14. Thursday in a group of 6. Section 207. Guessing I'll end up being the "babysitter" for the day as this is our once-a-year outing with guys from work. Often turns out to be more about the tailgating than the game.
  15. We entered in the right field corner and my son sprinted to the Braun line. Unfortunately, he had no chance. My wife and two-year-old daughter were more interested in getting Bernie Brewer's auto, so they headed to the left field corner. They were able to get a picture with my daughter on Bernie's lap along with the auto. The two of them moved over and were also able to get Mitch Stetter's auto with it signed to my son. I tried the Torres line after getting everyone else situated. Ended up missing out by two people when Torres had to leave. So came away with a couple of autos (if you include Bernie) with the added bonus of finally meeting Hawing and her S.O.
  16. Sometimes getting 3-4 autos is better than standing deep in a line, only to have the time expire with only ten more to go before your turn. My thoughts as well, but not easy to explain to a 10 year old Braun fanatic.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. Heading to our first autograph Friday tonight. Any suggestions for my 10-year-old son from seasoned veterans?
  18. First time I tried for Pedro's great give-aways. Please include me and the family.
  19. crackley I have an extra Barrelman from today's game. My son would love this year's Prince (with crown) if you are still looking to trade. PM me if interested. bensheeps
  20. Haudricourt's latest is saying a sprained left knee and day-to-day http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/06/09/weeks-has-sprained-left-knee.aspx
  21. My wife took part in this last year (with the running in the Polish Sausage costume as one of the many highlights) and highly recommends it to all. In fact, she has talked one of her high school students into making the drive to Milwaukee for this year's session.
