  1. Happy Birthday Hawing. I'm at home with two sick kids so I should be able to listen in. Does it make me a bad parent if I fill them full of cold medicine before the first pitch so there is a better chance I'm not disturbed?
  2. I believe Catalanatto is a past favorite of many on the board. Is he now strictly an option for LF/1B? If so, that leaves only PH appearances and as JumpinMacFlash said $4M is too much for that role.
  3. Since Griffey signed with Seattle, do the Mariners have an extra outfielder available? What would Jack Z. be looking for? Endy Chavez? Left-handed bat with ability to play some CF. I think owed $2.05 million this year. Is this type of backup OF better than what we have now? Heard rumors that Luke Scott of Baltimore might be available, but assume he would cost too much.
  4. My wife and I are committed to meet some more of you people and are ready for the winter to end. What a better way to accomplish both. Figure on 2 of us making the trip over from SW Wisconsin.
  5. Guess I will get in line as well if any season ticket holders are not interested in the 2 for opening day. With just getting the two with our 20-game package, I would hate to see the fight between the wife and I as to who gets to attend with our 11 year old http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Hawing I agree; expecting another late start tomorrow. Best part about high schoolers is they will forget shortly why they are upset.
  7. I hear you fondy. Our new house is scheduled to be finished with construction by the end of January. That means moving in the cold and also paying heating bills for the new house (while they work on it) and our rental home for the last month. Still, more than ready to get in the new house and finally be able to have my rec/Brewer room.
  8. Our school district doesn't have a rule written down. High school students today aren't real happy hearing about the other districts that do.
  9. Hawing, I hope you're right. Bobbles are fine, but the number of players left to pick from are getting a little slim. Guess I would rather have some other type of giveaway than another "Prince" for the 3rd year in a row or a "Greg Brock".
  10. Thanks for the head's up. Grandma was able to get my son/Braun fan a jersey as another X-mas present.
  11. As others have said, I would like to see Kapler return. With Boston sending Crisp away yesterday, does that open an extra outfield spot for them and make Kapler an appealing option to return to his former team?
  12. Agree completely. Hall returning to shortstop (where his last success was) and following laser eye surgery (is this still the plan?) could lead to increasing his trade value as Escobar prepares at AAA.
  13. According to mlbtraderumors.com Crisp was just traded to the Royals. Readers speculate that Teahan to Cubs could follow.
  14. Hawing Wasn't someone giving me a hard time about a day off in the end of October? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Going to try and make it to club house sale for the first time after listening to all of the finds over the years by fellow posters.
  15. Made the move today from our 9-pack we've had the last for few years to a 20-gamer. Have another couple that will use 5-7 of the games, so we will probably end up attending 15-20 games total as we have in the past. Decided on the Sunday Plus package and moved our seats to Club Level. We've sat there a few times in the past and hope it will work out well for the wife, kids and I.
  16. Macha just mentioned that "Doug will make an offer to CC tomorrow" on WTMJ.
  17. My thoughts exactly. Sure Michaels will come up with the hard hitting questions when Macha joins him...Are you a fan of bratwurst?
  18. Hawing They are on commercial right now waiting for conference to start. I'm listening via net as well.
  19. Just flipped through Dish Network channels...surprise...didn't find it anywhere.
  20. We also have brought my nephew to an annual game for three years now, so I'm working on developing a fourth generation fan (it helps that he lives near bensheeps and his warped family). Hawing On behalf of my "warped family", we will continue to do our part with your nephew. Between him and my son, I think the next generation of fans will be taken care of. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. I echo what all the other people in attendance have written. Walking down the ramp from the Terrace level after the game was unreal. The ramp packed shoulder to shoulder with people and all of them chanting "Let's go Brewers, let's go!"
  22. Not not sure who I'm happier for...the players, myself, or all of you on this board. Can't wait for Saturday with PLAYOFF BASEBALL AT MILLER PARK!

  24. I now know that I have totally warped my entire family. Not only was I jumping around the living room, but my wife was yelling and my 10 year-old-son and 3-year-old daughter were hooting and hollering right along with us.
