  1. I'm one of those people. Embiid could very well be good, but to me, he has a ton of red flags. He's really, really raw too. That means there is a bunch of room to develop, but at the same time, that could take years to happen - just soon enough for him to leave Milwaukee. This team needs scoring, someone that can make an impact now. To me, that's Wiggins, though from what I can read, the Bucks don't seem to be too high on him.
  2. I'm not sure I agree with your assessment on the low tolerance.... I went to UWW (granted, I've been gone for 8 years now), but back then, the police more or less looked the other way on drinking. As stated, there is nothing to do there really, so the main focus, at least from my experience, was finding ways to drink. I went to several parties and then hosted several more in my last couple years there - never once encountering the police or anything. I think unless you are blatant about it or they get called by a neighbor, they more or less look the other way. But again, things could have changed, and obviously it's a bit different if you're an athlete. It's really quite amazing what they've done. The three sport sweep, plus all the other titles that have been won in the last ten years, it's really quite impressive for a small school in the middle of nowhere. Division 3 or not, championships are hard to come by and they've dominated the D3 landscape for a decade now essentially.
  3. Rusch definitely had a walk off squeeze bunt as a PH. There was no out on the play, so I assume it went in the books as a single. The last extra base hit was 1990, that's what MLB network said at least.
  4. The thing with Yo is that he's not a very good hitter...but he DOES have some power. While unlikely, there was the small threat of him actually connecting with one - something that Herrera and Falu really don't have.
  5. No single game is a season killer in May. THey can certainly be momentum killers for sure, but not a season killer. Yeah, I was overstating it, but this would have been an extremely tough one to swallow, especially after yesterday. And losing/winning one game isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but from a mental standpoint, this had to be a huge, huge win for the Brewers. Especially with the Cardinals rolling.
  6. So I really thought this game was a season killer with a loss...we win, on a walkoff by Gallardo of all people...is this a game that turns the tide and sparks us to go on a big run?
  7. I really, really thought that was gone. A HR would have been epic, but this was pretty frickin awesome too!!!
  8. Well this hasn't gone well. 4 pitches and 2 outs. Smart move here, we're out of players. How epic would a Gallardo PH walkoff HR be?
  9. Alright, someone connect with one and send everyone home happy. Please? This guy has been getting shelled all year long. This is our chance, even with a pitcher potentially hitting this inning.
  10. Anyone else yelling at the TV about this strike zone? And how it's only seemingly our guys getting majorly squeezed?
  11. Where is the pitchers spot in the lineup right now? 8th? Potentially coming up 4th next inning? And we're out of players...ugh. Going to see a starter PH, get Gallardo in the cage.
  12. Yes, quite frankly, I think the second pitch was "worse" than the first one - and that one got a strike call.
  13. Well as much as Herrera sucks on offense, that was an awfully good play. Hugging the line to protect the doubles, but that's still a great play. And a nice strong throw.
  14. Damn, just missed that one. Reynolds will play first, Herrera will play third. Need a quick inning here something fierce!
  15. I feel the concern here too...but it's hard to tell. I just don't think he's healthy watching his swings. WOW!!!! Lucky break on the double clutch!!! Now let's go home winners!
  16. Braun hasn't hit a dinger at MP in over a year!?!??! Well he's certainly due!!! Come on Braun...if they actually give you anything to hit. Or not. Ugh. I just have zero faith in us to actually get a hit here.
  17. Nice bunt...but would you pitch to Braun here? Or walk him to setup the DP? I wouldn't let Braun beat me here. No chance.
  18. Alright, well there's the runner. Now knock one over. Don't bunt here Ron. If you succeed, you're likely taking the bat out of Braun's hands.
  19. Yeah, not so much that we blew it, but HOW we blew it that prompted people to want to come here and vent. At least it did for me.
  20. No kidding, even their stud 3b prospects can't play 3rd. Braun and Gamel.. I'm not disagreeing with your point here, but that wasn't that great of a play by Machado, it was more or less right at him. Pretty much any MLB 3b is going to catch that ball. Two days in a row we load the bases in the 8th inning with 1 out, neither time can we score a single run. It's just so infuriating. I'm still fuming from leaving Garza in and that inning just didn't help. Let's at least keep this at one here.
  21. I'm glad in a huge spot, we have such a great roster setup that we can put Falu up...again.
