  1. Agreed. Unfortunately, so has McCarthy. Offense needs to get it back together here.
  2. Going back to the 7th inning yesterday, that's 4 balls just absolutely smoked by the Brewers that have turned into double plays. That's pretty frustrating. Hopefully Peralta can get through one more inning, pitch count around 90 already.
  3. The stupid baseball the Brewers are playing is really irritating. Just bad, bad baserunning. We've also crushed two balls in this game that turned into DP's. That's really annoying.
  4. So if I'm reading all of this right, the Brewers are under slot value as a total right now. Anyone left unsigned that I should be hoping we throw a bunch of money at?
  5. As far as the Cardinals go, in the last 6 games, they've pitched 4 shutouts, 1 1-run game, and one game they got beat quite easily (too lazy to look it up). They won two separate 1-0 games, and a 4-1 game. It's not as if their offense has suddenly figured it out. It's more that their pitching has been flat-out dominate for an entire week. I was also at the game tonight and the Brewers hit several balls hard that just simply didn't fall. Hopefully that's a good thing.
  6. Let's hope they can rebound quickly tomorrow. They lost the first game in Pitt and NY and came back to take the series.
  7. Man this one is disappointing. Come back from the 4 run hole, only to lose it in the 9th on a bloop single and a hit from a guy batting .240. Showed a lot of heart coming back, especially after the way we got into the hole. That said, the way the Brewers played in this game, they deserved a loss. We basically handed them 4 runs, at least 3 with the Garza silliness. That really cost us the game. He actually pitched pretty well, but the two throwing errors just handed them all the runs. You just can't play that badly and expect to win. Not only the errors, but I also completely disagree with RR playing the infield in in the 5th inning. Could have made the difference between 1-2 runs and the 4 that they ultimately got.
  8. I would imagine that Segura will PH and if necessary, Falu would move to second base if it got to that point. Well at least we kept it at one. Alright, bloop and a blast and let's go home winners. I'm positive I was at a game in the last year or two where Lucroy hit a 2 run walkoff bomb off of Chapman....
  9. Of course. Two guys struggling all year get singles to beat us. Bad throw by Braun too. I still go back to the first single. Why was Davis playing there?? You don't mind getting beat by the big guys, but when the bottom of their order - two guys struggling mightily at the plate this year beat you it's frustrating to say the least. We've certainly done everything in our power to not win this game. 4 errors and a botched rundown. We've essentially handed them at least 4 runs in this game - and another if Hamilton scores. You simply can't screw up a rundown like that.
  10. Why was Davis playing that deep and that far into the gap with a righty at the plate? That doesn't seem to make much sense.
  11. Smith may very well start for the Brewers at this point, but if it's this year, I think that's a huge mistake. 1 - we have several other starting options at this time 2 - he has an ERA under 1.00 and is just dominating lefties. He's been our strongest bullpen arm by far this season. Why mess with that? Having 4 lefties is just going to be very bizarre though (well really 3 since Wang will never get into a game).
  12. Duke looked great. And has been all year. I wasn't a fan at all when they signed him, but wow has he been good. Alright Brewers, let's take the lead here.
  13. At this point, if Braun really is this unhealthy...maybe it's time for him to go back on the DL. He's not exactly helping the team lately. Of course, it could just be a rough stretch, but even when he was getting hits, he still didn't seem right at the plate. Alright Duke....need a nice, clean inning here. Get the offense back up there in a hurry!
  14. Really wish we could have taken the lead there. The Gomez ball just wasn't quite hit hard enough. Glad to be tied at least though certainly.
  15. Come on Braun....break out of the funk in a big way here please!! At least get him in from third.
  16. Cardinals on the verge of a 1-0 win. That'll be four shutouts in their last five games and two seperate 1-0 wins during that stretch.
  17. Certainly is. Though playing the infield in gave th a weak hit that should have never happened. Playing the infield in with guys on second and third in the fifth inning, in the middle of their lineup was idiotic. In that spot just try to limit the damage, not open up the chance for a huge inning. But yeah, garza really sucked and cost us several runs too.
  18. And because of the infield in, this could turn into a huge inning. Once again prob should have been no runs but garza sucks
  19. Good lord garza. Literally just throwing this game completely away. The first run is entirely on him and these will be too. Simply unbelievable. Infield in???? Why??
  20. Falu has shown nothing at all to make me think he deserves to be on the roster. At least bailey threw a bunch of pitches that inning I guess. Need a quick inning from garza here please! It seems like Braun isn't looking to drive the ball. His swings almost look like he's just simply trying to make contact.
  21. So that's how it's going to go tonight. Two line drives right at infielders. Not very good base running by scooter there either.
