  1. Anyone here know how to juggle? Nothing excessive, just 3 or 4 balls or whatever. I've always thought it was cool and have wanted to learn how but I can't find anyone to teach me. Is there anyway I can learn how on my own? Anyone have any ideas?
  2. I will forever be bitter about the Ray Allen trade. Forever. It was a horrible, horrible trade that only made sense because him and Karl couldn't get along...so yeah, get rid of an all-star player who actually loves Milwaukee. Not only get rid of him, but get rid of him for a washed up Gary Payton that had no intentions of staying here behind the last 35 games of the season. Not to mention we had Cassell at the time too. Trading Jennings and completely rebuilding is probably the answer...but thats been the case for 5 years now and it hasn't happened so I have no doubt that Jennings is retained, regardless of the cost.
  3. They won't trade Jennings unless they get a monster deal for him. And I'd be stunned if they let him leave. They can match any offer for him and they'll have a ton of cap space in all likelihood. I don't necessarily agree with that, but I think thats what's likely to happen.
  4. Sure did their best to choke this one away but managed to hang on. I saw this is the first time all season they had 2 players score 25+ points in a game. Not even sure what to make of that. Good trip for the Bucks though certainly.
  5. Both MU and WI played just way too poorly in the first halves tonight to win. That being said, both didn't get any help from the officials. There was an obvious travel not called on Cincy in the last minute of the game and what appeared to be a very clear jump ball in the WI game that was called a foul. Should have been WI ball, down 3 with 15 seconds left. I don't know how the official from that side could possibly call that a foul. Neither is a bad loss, but both were games I had hoped they had won. They were certainly beatable opponents but when you play brutally bad offensively for half a game, it's awfully tough to win.
  6. I agree, it is easy to get frustrated with the baby. Especially if you can't get them to stop crying or they wake up 5 times on a weeknight. And it's only natural to get frustrated sometimes, but like others have said...the baby isn't doing it on purpose. That takes a bit of time to get used to, but babies cry. They can do literally nothing for themselves and need you for....which is why it's no longer about you. They should be your #1 priority but like others have said, you can't not do anything for yourself. Whether that be working out or watching a Packers game or whatever it is. You may have to start this after they go to bed but it's something. You can't do nothing for yourself. You will get fried in a hurry. But also remember....your wife needs this time too. So if she's watching the baby and you're watching the Brewers, keep that in mind when she wants to go shopping or whatever it is. Oh and when she's on leave, something to think about. Think of your frustrations with the baby that you have every now and again...and then think about the fact that she's alone with the baby for 8,10,12 hour sequences with little or no help or release valve so to speak. So don't get upset if she's crabby some days or isn't sympathetic towards you if you have the baby and it cries or whatever.
  7. I guess it's not impossible for a Boras client to sign an extension (Weaver did), but I think it has to be something that the player absolutely positively insists on. And while Gomez likes it here it seems, I just don't think he's that player that wants to stay in Milwaukee no matter what.
  8. I understand giving big companies and full season ticket holders perks....but if they are really doing that on purpose, that's wrong IMO. You can't advertise it as a fan giveaway and then give a majority of the awards to your biggest company season ticket holders. Despite that, it's still almost impossible to win. There are only 40 prizes and an incredibly large number of full, half and 20 game season ticket holders.
  9. Well that's just it. If this was going on for 2-3 years with a real person...the family would know he played at ND and that he couldn't get there on a gameday. I'd find it nearly impossible that the family wouldn't take into account her BF of 3 years attending her funeral....yet nobody seemed to think anything of it when ESPN and all the other networks ran away with the story a couple of months back.
  10. Yeah, I was commenting on this yesterday. That bobble looks awesome and actually looks like Aoki. Hopefully the real gameday ones come close. It's a shame how badly the quality of the bobbles has slipped over the past few years. I've said it before, but the quality has slipped because they are doing so many of them. I really think this is my last year of collecting them, I have no more room and they have really just lost almost all of their appeal for me at this point. This one does look like Aoki, but let's see how horrible the actual one is.
  11. Tokoto took a risk, as do all the players that go to UNC, Duke, Kentucky, etc. They will almost always have a chance to win it all (though not UNC this year) and while he could have come to WI and been a starter almost from day 1, there is a limit to how big of a star he can become. Stars at UNC, Duke, etc become almost national celebrities in a way that no player at WI has ever really reached, and probably never will. Just based upon how those programs are looked at, national games on ESPN, etc. As for Looney, unless he really wants to stay close to home, I see him leaving as well. UNC, Kentucky, Kansas have all expressed an interest so far. He also seems to project much more like a one and done type of player. So my guess is Calipari buys him if he wants him that badly.
  12. There are a couple of big red flags for me here. One...in this day and age with Skype, webcams built into all laptops, facetime on Ipods, etc...how do you get by NEVER seeing this person? Unless, there was someone on the other end and it's a big sick joke, but that just seems so far fetched to me. Two....when she "died", nobody found it even remotely odd that he didn't travel to be with her at the end or attend her funeral? Yes, I realize this was during the season, but I'm sure something could have been done to ensure he could have missed a day or two of practice and attended. Nobody bothered to even ask him about this? His teammates, friends on the team, coaches, etc? Three....it just smells fishy. I don't want to carry on gossip, as I have no idea, but the homosexual angle really does make sense here. As others have stated, even with his beliefs, there had to be women that at the very least would just be his "girlfriend" with the hopes of something more down the line, especially since he stands to make a lot of money here. Being gay could really alter all of that for him. Or if he really was duped...he comes out of this looking like a completely and utter dope IMO.
  13. I don't actually think Evans is playing all that badly. His FT shooting is abysmal, no doubt, but the rest of his game is still pretty good. The poor FT shooting isn't effecting his jump shot, he's still making those consistently and rebounding pretty well. He's playing about 2 minutes less per game so far this season but his PPG is up from last year (11.5 from 11). His shooting % is almost identical (44.0 last year to 43.2 this year) and his rebounds are up a full board a game from last year (7.8 this year from 6.8). Blocks and steals are very slightly up as well. If he can just get his FT's to just be average, he's having a fine year. That being said, it was inexcusable for Bo to have him on the floor in the final minute last night. Not once, but TWICE the ball was inbounded to him but IU chose to trap rather than put him on the line. That was a huge mistake and easily should have been avoided. If you want him in for defense, sub him in AFTER the foul or have him inbound the ball. Don't even give the team the chance to foul your 30% FT shooter with the game still in doubt.
  14. The picture of Bergerron dunking is on the front page of ESPN right now. I have it saved on my computer but I can't for the life of me figure out how to post it here (someone please explain this to me at some point).
  15. I'm just downright stunned they won tonight. They didn't steal a win either...they were in control from start to finish really. Great, great win in a game I figured they'd get destroyed in. The way I see it is that they need 5 more wins to make it. That ensures a .500 B10 record. .500 in this conference, with a win at IU and at home against Illinois is probably enough to make it into the dance. Need to avoid a big letdown at Iowa this weekend.
  16. I have two....one almost 2.5 and one 7 months. So I know what you're going through. We do have a video monitor at home, it's nice. It was really only necessary for the video portion when the kids are old enough to stand/situp, just to kinda see what they're doing when they're crying, if we needed to go in there or not, that sort of thing. I'm at work but I can certainly write more on this later...have some time. Or if you have a list of questions/concerns, you can PM me too certainly.
  17. Both 3-0 but i wouldn't go punching any dance tickets yet. MU has looked better but they need to learn how to close games. They've won but they are really, really making it hard. Last two games came down to being up 3, with less than 5 seconds left. Against GU, they fouled a three point attempt with 2 seconds left (guy missed one), today, up 3, they turn it over with 20 seconds left, then on an inbounds play with 1 second remaining, literally don't cover a guy behind the arc and he hits a wide open three to send it to OT, they won both, but they really dodged bullets. Did show a lot of poise today in dominating the OT. WI looked dreadful in it's first two games and if they weren't playing arguably the two worst teams in the B10, those are both losses. They smoked IL today, but IL was incredibly flat. This was the best they've looked on offense basically all year (but making lots of 3's will do that). Dekker looked like a different player today, hope we see more of him. They play Indiana on Tuesday, so we'll see if they can even give them a game as IU is just dismantling people right now.
  18. I'm glad Daniels isn't seeing the floor right now, but what exactly does Harris need to do to get even a little playing time?
  19. Have you checked the dish out? Every now and again mine does this and it's almost always because ice/snow has formed on the dish. It's not supposed to do this of course, but sometimes if its' really windy or snowing hard it happens. Somtimes it allows some of the signal to come through, but not all, hence why some channels may work better than others. Cleaning the dish off fixes the problem for me.
  20. I'm too lazy to find the article, but I'm 100% positive that Gord Ash said they have a standing offer to Gonzalez to come back as backup - but that Gonzalez wanted to explore all options that might let him start before accepting it. Gonzalez would provide a nice backup option at SS (maybe some at 3b too?). He would also provide some right handed pop off the bench in a PH role and would be nice to have. I can't imagine he's going to find a starting job being 36/37 and coming off a torn ACL.
  21. Get the big win vs Miami, then go on the road and lose to Detroit. Not cool. They were totally flat the entire game tonight, finally came to life in the last 6 minutes, but it was too late.
  22. Some people at work got me a Braun Jersey shirt for Christmas, which was nice....unfortunatley, I already have the exact shirt and a Braun jersey so I have no real use for it. They also included no receipt and i can't tell where it might be from so returning it is something I'm just too lazy to do. It's a dark blue Majestic shirt, size large. Anyone interested in buying it? Obviously not looking for a ton of money here, as they run for like $20 online I think. Or if anyone wants to maybe trade...have a tshirt you don't like, don't want, or got 2 of or something? I'm in the Milwaukee area.
  23. No chance he takes $500k to $1 mil less to play for the brewers. No kidding. The difference between $75 million and $76 million is very small. The difference between $1 million and 2$ million is absolutely enormous (or relatively enormous). You're assuming he even gets that offer from the Astros. If we had offered him 1.5 million and he goes into FA and sees no interest anywhere...he might take it. If he has an offer from us for 1.5, he could come back and ask for a little more. Yeah, it's about money most of the time, but it's also about not necessarily wanting to play on the absolute worst team in all of baseball.
  24. If the worst team in baseball can get him for 2 million, we probably could have re-signed him for 1 or 1.5....I would have taken him for that much. He has some good pitches, just inconsistent but he's valuable at that price IMO.
