  1. AND we are back in action in Nashville! Bottom of the 6th baby! 53 minute weather delay. Avans to the dish. Sounds trail 5-3. And, Avans is on for the second time tonight. He singles up the middle. That's a BB and a single now. Man aboard for EMJ.
  2. So happy for Joe. What a journey he has been on. An incredible players manager. With the healing journey last year it is so uplifting to see this half of Shuckers baseball. They have completely re-written the Shuckers script.
  3. Do you think Joe Ayrault is pumped? DO YOU? LOL. What a great lil interview. Worth your watch. LOL.
  4. CHilders is ahead 0-2.He pops him up. Warren again. AND: THE SHUCKERS ARE FIRST HALF CHAMPIONS!!!! FROM 1-7 THEY MAKE HISTORY.
  5. And, Warren snags a hard hit liner at 2B. He continues to shine. 0-2 count. Bit of a hanger. Fantastic clean grab. We are one out away.
  6. Wood goes down swinging on an inside sweeper (may have left his shoes). Spain flies out to LF. We are three outs away. RHP Will Childers will try to do the deed.
  7. Warren swipes 2B. He also advances to 3B on the throwing error. That is the second such result in the second consecutive inning. I like this trend. 😄
  8. And another multi-hit night for Zavi Warren. He pokes a 97 mph single into shallow left CF. Man, what a season for Warren. Just so happy for him.
  9. Lara lines one to the LF warning track to start the Shuckers 8th. On many other nights with the wind blowing classically out to LF that is a long ball. No doubt about it. Hit it very well. Instead it will be scored a fly out.
  10. Sits 95-97 mph. Slider turns and burns 85-87 mph with massive break in two direction. Filthy change of pace with that 82-85 mph curveball. He is a MLB reliever. I stand by this remark. When a heater rides as much as his does with massive upward lift or he can level it off and he can give you two ridiculous off-speed looks? He has legit high-leverage potential. He gets two swinging K's and works around a single to LF. Just a filthy reliever. I miss me some RHP Sam Gardner (bless you, Sam - may you be healthy and finding contentment) but Bryant has filled that void with uncanny work in 2025.
  11. Man, every time I see RHP Tyler Bryant pitch of late the only word I have immediately? FILTHY My goodness. His stuff is so good.
  12. Broken bat DP off Pratt's lumber scores the insurance run. 6-2. Pratt has grounded into two DP tonight. Not his night.
  13. If you recall this could be the first Shuckers division title in any half since 2019. If you dig into that time, you may remember the Shuckers actually won four consecutive division halves spanning all of 2018 and 2019. It was quite the run.
  14. Boeve walks. Runners on the corners. Nobody out for SS Cooper Pratt. Let's give Mr. Bryant (warm in the Shuckers Pen) some insurance runs!
  15. AND, with a lead-off single to start the Shuckers 7th, Luke Adams has extended his Shuckers record On Base streak to 38 games. He swipes 2B. And takes 3rd on an E2.
  16. And we are indeed in a weather delay in Nashville. Not surprising. Fitzy with a gorgeous first frame back. Pop out to Warren at 2B. K swinging on high outside heat to a righty. Broken bat ground out to 2B. 5-2 through 6 1/2 frames. Come on, men. That title is right there. Let's do this!
  17. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick is off the IL and he is already back in action. You love to see it. He will head to the mound to start the seventh inning. Best of luck, Brian!
  18. Winds really picking up out toward LF. Nittoli gets the K looking on ol Brewer farmhand Hayden Cantrelle. Sounds trail 5-3. They head to the bottom of the sixth.
  19. And it has begun raining at First Horizon Park. Those gloomy skies with that local severe weather may be arriving. Let's see if they can finish this game. Tenuous at best. Meanwhile, Biloxi has a little life gifted to them here in the bottom of the sixth. The 2B misplayed a likely inning-ending weak grounder under his glove. And, now Spain has walked. men on 1B and 2B. Two down.
  20. Sounds now trail 5-3. Mitchell couldn't chase down the gapper to the deep right CF wall. Looked like he undercut his route but it also looked as tho he couldn't get there regardless. More importantly, he absolutely airmailed the relay throw missing the cut-off and the runner on 1B scores. Mitchell charged with the throwing error - rightfully so.
  21. Wood has executed two absolutely gorgeous throws for CS at 2B. Consecutive innings. Absolutely gorgeous throws. Hardin has completed six frames in his Double-A debut. Incredible.
  22. 7-4 Mudcats lose. Unfortunately, that was indeed a well earned loss. 😅
  23. Hardin pitching into the sixth in his Double-A debut is just what I needed baby. You love to see it. Di Turi takes 3B. 2-2 count to Holguin. He takes ball three low and outside. 3-2 count. Sac Fly to CF. 7-4 deficit. Two outs.
  24. Di Turi tries to start a mini rally here with a 2-2 double to the right CF gap. RF'er overpursued in to that liner. One down. Man on 2nd.
