  1. Was just noticing they swapped in Blayberg Diaz after he threw out a runner at 2B. All while seeing Fischer and Bitonti are a combined 0-for-6 with 6 K. Pain.
  2. It's a strange and concerning sample indeed. Given what we saw in ST and the WBC it's also confounding. Is it a case of overly pressing?
  3. - RHP Jacob Waguespack has been released by the Nashville Sounds * Given how well Waguespack has pitched for the Sounds at 32 years of age I tend to think this is an agreed upon arrangement so he may pursue a MLB roster opportunity elsewhere. ***
  4. I am befuddled Montreal won 2-1 on 9 Shots.
  5. What I see when I peruse the Shuckers' pitching ledgers? Nice to see RHP Nick Merkel have a bounce back 2nd outing off his IL stint. That's all I got. Worth celebrating for the Large Mammal.
  6. Holub surrenders a solo shot but strikes out 4 in his 2.0 IP and I love to see the zero in the BB column. He's had his standard cruddy BABIP but it seems like he is suffering from an outlier years so far in terms of BAA. How has he looked overall? Has anyone had eyes on him?
  7. My goodness. What a hack! How did he hit that?! Hand speed for days.
  8. Come on, man. No fair! Hopefully precautionary bruise! He needs a couple breaks! Honorary outro exclamation point: !
  9. I've dreamed of this current Handelfry long ball Heater!
  10. I see Alexander Frias already has a 3-run HR. Noice! 8-1 in the 4th. Dubanewicz has allowed consecutive hits in his debut inning.
  11. Knoth-to-Bukauskas-to-Aparicio-to-Dubanewicz is quite the debut ACL pitching battery.
  12. I do believe @wiguy94was on to something during Priester's Rehab debut. It sure as heck does not appear we will see him in a Brewers uniform for quite awhile. I don't know if Jose Nova allowed inherited runners to score for the T-Rats and Galindez but it's nice to see him K 2 while allowing 2 H in 2/3 IP to lower that ERA to 25.31. 🫣
  13. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick selected to the Brewers 40-Man roster is One of the more amazing and awe-inspiring Brewers storylines since Chourio. His evolution as a pitcher has been nothing short of miraculous to witness. What an incredible feat!
  14. Wilson back in the Win column with a 5-1 victory. The Undrafteds in Bonet and Perry held serve yet again. Meneses w/ a scoreless final frame as well. Montero went yard. Ebel hit his first triple in a 2-for-3 say (dare I say, he is simmering?). Nice games from Encarnacion and Lameda. Jayden with 3 free passes. Nice to see the young men earn a much needed 'W'. These vintage highlight clips are pretty fun. Here's Montero's pull shot.
  15. How about Made's casual 100 mph beaut of a one hop to Boeve yesterday to nab the out? This young man is absolutely a Unicorn. One of One.
  16. Love to see that Zuc and Trenin actually practiced with the team today. Still listed as 'Questionable' but this is a big first step and Zuc held a long meeting with the #1 PP Unit on the ice. Those have been massive losses - especially on both PP units. IF the Wild can start eliminating these silly penalties (big IF - Dallas is very adept at getting into the PP), I really do believe they take the series. Both Goalies are playing lights out - an obvious 'X' Factor for both squads - but the Wild's 5-on-5 is head and shoulders better than this current Stars team (with their injuries). You add a healthy Trenin and Zuc to those already dominating 5 v 5's? Just massive. Swapping Zuc for Brink is just huge. Brink is not ready for the Playoff environment - nowhere near the talent our Norwegian Fjord Zuccy is. Not even the same League of impact.
  17. 1 1/3 IP. 4 more free passes for Birchard. No K's. No runs scored either. He is like our pitching Mitchell! Scratch that first K to complete his second frame of scoreless work. The man is such a beautiful conundrum.
  18. C Ramón Rodríguez is doing above and beyond what you could hope for from a veteran back-up Catcher. He continues to be one of the most unheralded plus players in the system. Hit his first dinger today in a 2-for-3 line so far. Hitting 0.356 with a 0.930 OPS in 50 PA's (11 K:5 BB) just speaks to the quality of player I witnessed pre-injury for a season plus. Here is your Moment of lofted Oppo Taco Zen:
  19. This is the first time I sat out an NFL Draft in over 25 years. I went to an Air BnB with my wife to invest in our relationship. I say this to say: Being separated - both physically and mentally - from the Draft itself makes me appreciate @LouisEly even more. I just love your level-headed approach. Thanks for all you do around this time of year.
  20. I can't imagine Rick Sweet and the Brewers loved this type of execution in the 10th inning:
