  1. EBJ activated from the Bridge League and in the Shuckers line up in 3...2...1:
  2. CF Brailyn Antunez was pulled for a defensive Sub before the second inning completed. All we see is the last play he was a part of was fielding a single to CF: Rodny Rosario singles on a line drive to center fielder Brailyn Antunez. Angel Abreu scores. Ricardo Romero to 2nd. He left the game two outs later after a strikeout but before the in ing ended. Hopefully, nothing happened to his throwing arm during this play. We'll simply have to stay tuned.
  3. - OF Reece Walling has been released by the Carolina Mudcats - OF Yhoswar Garcia has been released by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers - RHP Nick DeCarlo has been transferred from the 7-Day to the 60-Day IL by the Carolina Mudcats - RHP Chase Costello has been transferred from the 7-Day IL to the 60-Day IL by the Biloxi Shuckers
  4. Yes, but it's realistically 50/50 at best. I have a proverbial heap of things I need to get done on ky Farm before the ground freezes and I am dealing with my own Cervical neck injury as I soldier through my Farming year. I start PT this week as I await word from the morass that is Health Insurance on MRI approval
  5. - RHP Alejandro Parra has been assigned to the DSL Brewers Gold from the DSL Brewers Blue. Parra last pitched on June 20th of 2024 as a member of the DSL Brewers Dos. He began this year on the 60-Day IL (announced back on May 24th).
  6. I mean, Burke has absolutely proven he can hit - despite the post ASB slump he has shown he can hit within the professional ranks. Now the question remains, is this nice lil power burst - we know he has the power but we truthfully haven't seen it accessed all that much in the meat if this season - more a byproduct of the comforts of being back in Knoxville? OR is this him rediscovering his innate ability to hit the ball hard and far in the air? I spoke to it a couple times during this past week but it is worth mentioning again: Knoxville is considered the hardest park to go yard in the entire Southern League. Can he carry this into the final month and post-season?
  7. He definitely has a little bit of Rowdy in there. My hope is he doesn't trend more Vogelbach. 😅
  8. The lifeless Sounds are on the verge of getting swept, at Home, to Jacksonville. They trail 2-1 in the bottom of the 7th. If they manage to lose this one, they will be 2-10 over their last 12 games. Ouch.
  9. Wow. Impressive digging! So it was Delmarva and it was late June. I remember, right off that performance I think he had an 0-for strineout buffet follow-up?😅
  10. If memory serves, it was a sign of improved approach in like a 9-10 pitch walk in late June? Maybe against Delmarva? It was the best AB I had seen from him all season.
  11. I'd say I'm shocked but this team is just different. My gods. What a season!!!!!
  12. What a fabulous game by CF Jose Anderson today. 2-for-3, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 BB, 1 HR, 1 OF Assist? Ummmm, YES please.
  13. I guess I should also add: Rodriguez threw another runner out at Home! Man, his August absolutely rules. He now has 7 OF Assists on his season. Don't sleep on his defensive work - he's made some absolutely fantastic plays out there of late. Also of note: Anderson grabbed an OF Assist at 1B as well. Between these and Adamczewski's incredible chopper grab and tag DP work in yesterday's game one dub, the D is showing out.
  14. Let's make that 8-3 Cats! Adamczewski pokes an oppo 2-run line drive single into LF. Let's see if Dubanewicz can't close this out in full.
  15. Boy, my guy LF Tyler Rodriguez is simply staying red hot. 2-for-3, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 BB, and 1 SB (his 21st). He is now 9-for-21 in August! Let's GO! OH, and I guess Bitonti went long yet again. 18 on the season. This submarine definitely surfaced beyond periscope depths. Off the scoreboard: Really nice to see this. This reliever gave the bats absolute fits earlier in the week. Muddies reclaimed the lead 6-3. Bottom of 7.
  16. Adamczewski returns to lead-off and the DH role quickly grabs a hit and a walk. CF Jose Anderson goes yard again - a three-run shot! Absolutely crushed over the LF wall: Which brings me to: Does anyone know where Chris Edwards has been?
  17. The Knoxville announcers actually shared he has been going out with and visiting with old friends and teammates throughout the week. So, no guessing needed here. He loves being back in Knoxville.
  18. Yeah, I was being silly. Just having fun on a Saturday. I was joking that not only am I overly scrutinizing the manager and players but I was going into the stands and analyzing. Also, game threads are merely representative of being invested in a game n the moments of the game itself - ie emotionally invested in winning. They don't represent my opinions held after contemplation and real thought. It's easy to get caught up in the games. In the end, I just want the players and coaching staffs to experience the fulfillment of their goals.
  19. RHP Babe Kahle pitched a purrrrfect hitless, walkless clean ninth frame. In his post-game interview, he cites Babe Bauers as his greatest inspiration and the motivation behind his 58 mph soft curve. Sounds lose 9-5. RHP Justin Yeager finally surrendered his first Triple-A run. I imagine LHP Brian Fitzpatrick will have a restless night.
  20. Yerlin closes the door! Woot Woot! He strands a runner on 2B with a 3-2 swinging punch out in the seventh pitch of the final AB. Let's GO! 2.0 IP, 0 H, 3 BB, 1 WP, 4 K, and 0 R. He walks the Yerlin Tightrope and makes it to the other side. 4-3 T-Rats.
  21. I see Rund has allowed both inherited runners to score. Some truly rough bullpen outings for arms throughout the system. However, I know who is paying the baseball gods for the Brewers current run of amazingness. I tip my cap to the selflessness of the players down below.
  22. Man, I wanted that for Handelfry so badly. We need to see him get going. We know it's in the bag.
  23. Frank is predictably taking this One with a calm and reasoned POV:
