  1. The DSL Brewers Blue moved back to 4 games over 0.500 with nine runs scored over the final two frames. They squeak out the 12-7 victory in style. Unfortunately, even if they win out Monday and Tuesday and the reeling DSL Astros Blue keep losing (losers of 3 straight) the Brewers Blue would miss out on that 8th and final wild Card spot by 1/2 G by my eyes.
  2. Sounds have won 3-of-4 and Quero is hitting absolute nukes. Huge news for this week.
  3. Now you see my 'Feeding the baseball Gods' remarks. It is what it is and it is definitely concurrent...which is not the same as causal. I choose the invisible baseball magic with celestial Ueck pulling the strings of the organizational marionettes.
  4. Muddies had tied it up 2-2 in the top of the 4th but Torres Gave up three immediately. Both Mudcats runs have been driven in by Jose Anderson - solo jack and RBI single scoring Adamczewski. Muddies trail 5-2 as they head to the bottom of the 5th. If they should lose tonight, Fayetteville will pull within 2.0 G. The Fred Nats trailed by 2.0 G entering tonight so are currently alone in 2nd Place.
  5. Avans stays hot - 2-for-2, 2 R already. Babe Bauers and Quero have both gone yard. It's 5-2 Sounds in the 3rd.
  6. Berroa is really a fantastic defender - he's shown out in Nashville. Can absolutely go get the ball in the alleys. Hitting-wise he is a singles speed guy. Nine spot or lead-off, solely.
  7. We saw two long ball firsts in that DSL Brewers Blue 6-1 victory. It was a 3-1 game in the middle innings. Then 2B Jhoanjel Saez and 1B Angel Gonzalez hit their forst long balls of their summers in the bottom of the 8th - not that they needed insurance runs with Mayorquin absolutely dealing. Saez with the solo jack and Gonzalez with a two-run shot. 6-1 Final.
  8. I am officially putting us on Kenny Fenelon Mendoza Watch as we come to this season's close. We can do this, Kenny! 1-for-3, 1 SB, 1 PO 0.199 on his season with a 0.672 OPS Come on, now! Let's GO
  9. 5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 5 K, 0 R for our Summer Sweetheart RHP Steven Duran. Perfect timing Brewers PD: That last change-up at age 17?! (last pitch of entire clip). My word.
  10. Agreed entirely. Made is very clearly the more talented defender. He has legitimate top-tier Gold Glove potential. Peña might end up a solid defender - really nice arm - but I don't see Made's innate feel. It's actually mildly nuts how good he has become in less than a season. All those early season gaffes - and there were many in that first month and change - have gone out the window. He elevated and has quickly become my SS #1. Anyone who knows me on this board knows historically I am a Pratt fanboy extraordinaire. Made is on another level. He really is. Which, considering how good Pratt is....well, it sure is something!
  11. Welp, at least she's consistent! Love that about baseball (I don't. It annoys me to no end).
  12. (Baseball) Hell hath no fury like a Lady ump scorned...
  13. After being knocked down a peg to #6 in the batting order we see an 0-for-4, 2 K tonight for one Filippo Di Turi. Is the second half just his Minor League nemesis? This may be even worse than last season. After a July in which he managed a 0.159 BA with a measly 0.486 OPS after 74 PA's, he is off to an even worse August: 0.083 BA and a 0.297 OPS (!!!) after 42 PA's. Hurt me! My guy, gotta turn this around. Too good a player to be going through this type of drought season-to-season.
  14. Just your standard T-Rats comeback win on the shoulders of Luis Castillo's solo shot, Daniel Guilarte's 2-for-4 (1 R, 2 RBI) and Figueroa's Save.
  15. Get the lead back after a massive rally and have to turn to 2025 Figueroa is a tough pill. Let's hope he doesn't put men on base right off the bat with an inability to find the zone. Need a good One here!
  16. Be still my heart, the Sounds are leading a series at the midway point!
  17. The throw to 2nd base is his biggest issue at present. He absolutely has the pop and the cannon arm but he lacks the consistent footwork and balance of throwing motion to that base in particular. It's strange. Itcomes and it goes. If you go back to game one of this series, Dinges throws an absolute accurate rocket with a 1.79 Pop to grab perhaps the most dangeorus base runner in Minor League baseball. He is just inconsistent with it at present - he'll definitely need to pound that home in the off-season.
  18. We had heard the intent was to get him back with an affiliate this week. BUT this is the first confirmation. Thanks for the update!
  19. McCabe is absolutely destroying the Shuckers this series. Who does he think he is? Babe Vaughn?'!
  20. He had two long flies yesterday. This week has been very charitable in the starters giving multiple long balls to the same hitters in every series but Carolina's. Very strange.
  21. And with that jack, he is up to a 0.063 BA and a 0.384 OPS. He's going to need a good 10 more.🫣
  22. It looks like the DSL Brewers Blue snuck five tying runs across in the top of the sixth before their game was suspended by inning's end. AND, they've officially scored it a Tie. 😅 It will be a 5-5 Tie in the record books. While the Blue likely feel a sense of accomplishment, the Astros Orange will ponder how their sure victory slipped away late at their Home Park.
