  1. Proceeds to watch said stud in TJ Shook strike out 6 in 3 IP. He is working the slider and the high heat. Impressive stuff.
  2. I mean, come on, I watch that Sounds amazingness and now I can watch up-and-coming, Double-A improving, RHP stud TJ Shook?!? This is pipe dream prospect action, folks.
  3. Switches to the Shuckers and who is standing on second base? None other than 2022 Most Improved Player candidate, INF Cam Devanney. ? Tonight is like clockwork in the 'Expectations Met' department. This might happen 1x a season? LOL. I'm going to let this one sink in and percolate for the rest of the week. I'm in prospect heaven.
  4. It was an incredibly fun game. Best Sounds game all year. And, honestly, not even close. Every AB had electricity. Every AB I expected big things. You are going to love Ruiz. Incredibly disciplined approach. He did not chase a single ball. Not even a borderline pitch. I was highly impressed.
  5. Tyler Herb shuts it down with 2 IP, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 H. Man, he and Reetz have a thing - I'm serious. They just work incredibly well together. Sounds win 8-2. What a night of Minor League baseball! I'm headed over to watch Shucker game number 2. Man, I literally haven't had this much fun all of 2022.
  6. And, just like that, ?, Jakson Reetz rips a single up the middle easily scoring Mitchell from second base. 8-2 Sounds. Reetz is starting to get comfortable in Triple-A. His BA is up to 0.230 now and the XBH are starting to arrive.
  7. Garrett Mitchell just did Garret Mitchell things. Whewww baby. He ripped a well-hit ball to the gap in right center. The CF'er was just a smidge too slow to go for that ball and he stretched that baby out quite easily for a double. The moment it left the bat and I saw that weak cover I knew he would grab second. What. A. Weapon.
  8. I continue to love having RHP Tyler Herb in our system. He's a hell of an interview - just extremely personable, experienced, honest, and fun - and, well, he's been mostly just really good all year. He pitches a scoreless 8th closing with 2 consecutive K's on nasty sweeping breaking pitches. When he's on, he's really really tough to hit. Such a fun late 2021 FA pick-up. Nashville looks to close this one out as we head to the ninth inning and it's still 7-2 Sounds.
  9. RHP Cam Robinson pitches a clean 2 K 7th inning (remember, this is the suspended game from yesterday) and the Shuckers finish off the Braves 3-2 in Game 1. Refer above for Game 2's line-up. Thank you @damuelle!
  10. What a night from RHP Stiven Cruz as well. 5 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 9 K, 2 ER. That's a fantastic Low-A outing. Man, who do I give 'Game Tags' too?!? I could dole out 10!
  11. OF Luis Castillo just hit a solo jack (3-for-4) to give the Mudcats the lead in the 7th! What a night, all. What a night. So many clutch hits. So many moments.
  12. OMG Zavier Warren just hit his 2nd HR of his night. Holy Sh!t. That's now, count it: 2 3B, 1 2B, 2 HR in two games since the deadline. My glorious goodness. Yes!!!!! Sirrrrrr!!!! Oh, well, I guess Jackson Chourio is also 3-for-3. My goodness gracious. Somebody pinch me!
  13. Everything is manipulated by a month of literally zero XBH (hello, June). Other than June, he's been trending UP. In every way. One month does not a baseball season make, as we all know. What I've seen is a fantastic baseball player. He's really a manager's dream. In every way. And, the power stroke and the gap stroke is evolving. Just an incredibly under-appreciated talent.
  14. It's glorious, my friend. Glorious. This is pinnacle prospect action I'm seeing tonight.
  15. My goodness, Zavier Warren! In two games since the deadline: 2 3B, 1 2B, and a 2-run HR jack?!? Whewwwwww. Let's Go!
  16. LHP Nick Bennett is stacking successes. He completes his night going 5 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 7 K's. This is a fantastic line for the Southern League. He is really coming on in the second half. This is a great development.
  17. Mark it down. Already in the HOF last I checked. ? If the goal is FUN as a fan, we've got it in spades in Nashville right now. Near every AB is fun as heck. Man, this game is the highlight of my 2022. Without question.
  18. 6-0 Sounds into the bottom of the sixth inning. Alexander is doing Alexander things. And, sheeesh, our young outfield is legit 'must watch'. My goodness, I haven't had this much fun all season. Every out is earned. They are utterly a nuisance on the basepaths. My goodness, we are in for a fun future.
  19. How about those Sal Frelick SPLITS?!? He just roped a late slap swing - well-hit - over the third base bag knocking in Wiemer and sending Dorrian to third (who had wlaked). Man, this is FUNNNNn!
  20. He gets good everything. He's selective. He's fast. He's patient. He gets incredibly good timing with breaking pitches (ala his second steal here). But, mainly, he just covers a lot of ground fast like you infer. There's a reason he can cover CF well. He's just an incredible athlete. A true 40/40 prospect if he can just fine-tune the power stroke.
  21. I'm just saying because I'm just saying! Zach Raabe literally just walked. AND, then scored on a Sibrian double. 2 runs score. It's now 3-2 Mucats. ?
  22. He's incredibly underrated in every aspect of speed. Very very fast. And, I think pitcher/catcher combos don't expect it. Which is wild. He's extremely fast.
  23. Joey Wiemer just absolutely roped his second hit of the game up the middle (I'd gather 105 plus on the Statcast. That was crushed). AND, proceeds to steal his second base of his evening on the next pitch. Let's get the comeback Tour running HOT!
  24. OK Eduardo Garcia. I see your return! 2-for-2 with his 10th HR of the season. Let's see if these Mudcats can pull this out. They trail 2-1 here in the bottom of the fourth at Five County Stadium. RHP Stiven Cruz is dealing. 7 K's through 4 innings. Yowza.
