  1. If it was his 9 K start at Nashville, maybe they should get more party buses?
  2. Oh boy the 'Cash or PTBNL' has me puckered and a wee shaky in the knees. I must fortify the gates and walls around 'Camp Handelfry & Josh'.
  3. Yeah, when Miller is right? He has been utterly shutdown dominant. He is an Ace up the late inning sleeve. You can't enough of guys his caliber in the post-season.
  4. Well, again, this is where how the Brewers view the players and our perceptions differ. Clearly they like Lockridge. I'm OK with it. They do things like this every year and I have learned to live with it. Given I watch the majority of the Sounds games I will with the possibility they find an Issac Collins and/or Blake Perkins via these avenues (yes, I realize those were ML Rule 5 and ML FA - hence, avenues). They rostered Capra and Roller. They let Shane Smith available for Rule 5. They are not perfect in their evaluations but there is zero doubt in my mind they are utterly faithful to their evaluation systems and criteria and they religiously stick to them. I can absolutely get behind that. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Now, granted, the majority of these AAAA players and moves end up being just that. But, it is an avenue they must exploit and they will certainly try to do so. I'm good with it. Heck, as you know, I love me some Jared Oliva and Daz Cameron. I loved me some late 2024 season Chris Roller. These are still great athletes and good baseball players - even if their likelihood of making it at 'The Big Show' is slim I'm along for the journey.
  5. I think this is also as simple as we have a bounty of depth in the middle infield. We just added Ebel; Dickinson; and Hughes to that mix. We have Made and Peña and a resurgent Eduardo Garcia. Not to mention surging Ethan Murray and an adequate fill-in vet having his most consistent season in Freddy Zamora. Quintana is a defense first guy. We already have a bounty of such depth guys in his age groups and this doesn't even get into Acosta, Rijo, Polanco, Martinez, and possibly Ereu down the line.
  6. I find it hilarious in that Lockridge is essentially a 5'11" Pinch Runner. He is org depth. I don't think he is MLB roster-able, per se, at present and I personally feel the Brewers added to their AAAA OF depth - they have several guys who fit this mould. I like many if these players, fwiw. I watch them all weekly. It is funny in that we all waited until the very end of the Trade Deadline (before we knew we got Shelby Miller) and we trimmed our starting depth fir a 50 wRC+ MlB speedster who has so far not shown he can hit MLB pitching. The Brewers personnel staff just has a very uniquely their own approach and it works more often than it does not.
  7. Shelby Miller is scheduled to be coming off the IL. I think people may be sleeping on just how good a healthy Shelby Miller is.
  8. Are you sure you watched last night? Might think otherwise.😄
  9. I take pride in the hilarity of this move - the move itself and the timing. Arnold absolutely clowning on us all. Incredible.
  10. Very on brand. We got another under performer who is 5'11". I want all of them.
  11. You aren't doing this right. There is still time to Edit your post and save face.
  12. Like the turd in a punchbowl.
  13. In the least I deserve an $18 beer that tastes like a $20 beer.
  14. Or we're just grateful we are clearly - stunningly crystal clearly - deep within the best era of Brewers fandom in the history of the organization. I choose immense gratitude. I show that weekly by covering the Minor Leagues for the fans.
  15. Do fans already forget we got the best pair of glasses in all of pro sports just a few days ago?!? My gods! Sports Glasses are BACK baby.
  16. I am unworried. I watched Devin Williams blow last year's opportunity to advance. I have endured too many post-season heartbreaks to worry one ounce about the uncertain impacts of a Trade Deadline. This team is good enough as is to stand pat. If they happen to improve some bench pieces over the final hour? I'll try to find the optimism to support the move(s). I already endured my freak out this season in the early part of the first half. @LouisElypaid me to do it. It's purely his fault - I have the Cash App transactions to...er...ummm prove it.
  17. Or not. The Brewers are 20 games over 0.500. Is this purely all luck?
  18. II have to say, I don't know if it is blind faith; stupidity; ignorance; or a sign of intelligence, but it feels incredibly liberating and quite nice to not see a reason the Brewers need to make a single move at this Deadline. I trust in the power of Friendships (this is a joke). OH, and I also think they are just a much better baseball team than I did earlier in the season. I trust their process. Naturally, I am prepared tor this comment to age like moldy cheese should they make a late flurry of moves.😅
  19. Also, can we please keep this thread strictly about the Brewers. I have IBS. That would really help me regulate. Thanks all. Very thoughtful.
  20. He is most definitely a SS, yes. Fort Wayne Tin Caps in da hizzy.
