  1. OMG, Noah Campbell with a colossal blunder in LF on a sky high fly ball. He parked under it. Easy play. He just completely biffs it as he fails to close his glove. All 3 runners score. A fitting end to the way the Shuckers have been playing to date. This was Erceg's 6th unearned run surrendered to the Wahoos in his two outings versus them this season. Reetz then fails to hold onto a bang bang throw from Wiemer at the plate. One word describes the recent string of play for the Shuckers: Frustrating ?
  2. 100%. I am merely pointing out: that move indicates the leg is fully healed. It was an incredible play.
  3. No comment on Zamora's fielding. It is one of my biggest disappointments. I can count on one hand the number of clean throws I've seen from him the season. A colossally perplexing talent. WAIT! I commented. Darn!
  4. BTW, Luis Urias Update: He is definitely healthy. He snagged an absolutely wild throw to third, in the dirt, by Harold Chirino on the bag at third - a key play to hold the tie in the eighth inning. He absolutely full stretched to snag this ball and maintained his foot on the bag. He's ready.
  5. Hey you all are complaining about Ureña?!? Try watching any inning of Rex Brothers out of the Nashville bullpen in 2022. Yeeeeesh. I shiver at the thought. Several walks tonight a couple wild pitches to boot and a 1-2 game was 1-4 in the flash of a pitch.
  6. I mean, I think what is fair to say is: I've always sucked at fashion and I still do. AND, that was probably an unfair poke at my mom. BUT, what really still gets me, is the white turtleneck under the ugly as heck shirt. I mean, you can't let your son go to school, let alone, make a TV appearance in that...can you? I don't know. There are discussions to be had. Shame to be felt.?
  7. I tell you I could get used to watching that top of the Biloxi order. They opened up inning one in nice fashion and Weimer ripped yet another double. It was 3-0 headed to the bottom of the second after Otero escaped a bases loaded jam by getting former Shucker, Hayden Cantrelle, on the punch out.
  8. I just had a rando thought, and because it’s a Pirates GT, I am going to share it with you all as I await the start to our Minors games: Can you imagine if there was Socials when Robin Yount approached Free Agency? I mean, I was on Channel 12 news at the time - interviewed as a fifth grader in an absurdly ugly Bugle Boy sweatshirt with ugky khakis (thanks Mom) - and wrote him a personal letter ?. I nearly had a crisis. Anyhow, enjoy the game!
  9. We are already delayed in Grainger Stadium due to rains in the bottom half of inning One. 0-0 game as Jeferson Quero grounded into an inning ending double play after Eduardo Garcia took first base after a HBP.
  10. Russ Smith gets the nod again tonight after an extremely disappointing last Start in rough - cold and swirling winds - conditions. Hopefully, he gets back on track. I'll personally be looking for better body language after I saw quite a bit of slouching and frustrations in his last start as he struggled to get anything going.
  11. Intriguing match-up tonight in St. Paul. This series has a ring of high high Level Triple-A action. I hope it meets my hype.? Alexander gets the nod facing Dereck Rodríguez (House of Ivan Rodríguez) who, in two appearances in 2022 (1 Starts) has 7 ip and 10 k's, no runs surrendered, and a sub 1 WHIP. I remember how much fun I had attending Saints games when I lived in the Twin Cities. There is an awesome jazz club (or was, I don't know if it is still standing - I sure hope so!) just down the road 'The Dakota Bar and Grill'. I saw former Jazz legend and drummer extraordinaire, Billy Higgins, with Charles Lloyd months before Billy passed. It was an incredible night of music. Here's hoping music and baseball aficionados can enjoy those double slates even today.
  12. Something that came out of this past week in the Antoine Kelly front I found quite interesting is he doesn't view himself as a Starter. He would prefer to be a bullpen arm. It will be interesting to see how that entire 'situation' or preference evolves as he moves up the ladder. I think, in the near-term, Edwin Jimenez merits some attention in upcoming starts for Carolina. Of the pitchers I have watched to date in Zebulon, he was the most poised and in-control of his mound presence, his pitch flow, his mix, and his overall approach. I really enjoyed his most recent start and am looking forward to continuing to monitor his season. Great write-up @Seth Stohs!

  16. My Jon Singleton love-fest took a bit of a punch to the proverbial ego but, fear not, this is a marathon not a sprint. I wear my 'Fan Club' tee-shirt with pride today. We'll get 'em this week big fella! **The author of this post does not actually belong to a 'Fan Club' or own a Jon Singleton tee-shirt...though, the sentiments are filled with promise**

  20. I resonate with this quite a bit. I still have my full 1989 Upper Deck set in its cardboard box with the un-opened Upper-Numbers set. This was the set that led me down the baseball card show circuit collecting near every Ken Griffey Jr. card I could find. What a time.

  24. I can’t look. I won’t look. I’m going to pretend this is the year he won’t be on the shelf.?
  25. My broader MLB news piece for this late Sunday evening is: Byron Buxton is a Man God. Twins fans have to be rejoicing and praying he can stay healthy. That man is electric. I also saw this tonight:
