  1. It is literally hard to comprehend (1)How incredibly good Giannis is at basketball and (2) He plays for the Bucks. Every night I just feel grateful I get to watch him play.
  2. If you care to hear a deeper perspective on the sham of the Federal case a few years back on the recruiting and pay-outs at high level programs (here's looking at you Bill Self), here is Merle Code (my brother-in-law actually went to school with him: he's a good guy - tho the Feds would want us to think otherwise). This pod really really exposes a lot of things. Tough listen but very worth it for a deepened perspective and understanding: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/cbb-black-market-merl-code-on-the-state-of-the-ncaa/id1423417914?i=1000551095229
  3. The Defense rests their Case, your Honor. Edit to Add: I'm just being cheeky, gents.
  4. I just watched the 'Hot Ones' inaugural episode of Season 8 (You Tube) with Gordon Ramsey. Oh man. This should be considered 'Must Watch'. I nearly died laughing. Amazing stuff.
  5. Oh man. THIS is hilarious.
  6. Let's not kid ourselves. Allen IS a dirty player. He's good enough where he doesn't have to be, but for some reason, the guy is an absolute punk on the court. I don't think Ibaka is dirty. He's hard nosed and tough. He comes across as abrasive at times. But he's not dirty IMO Well, I'm not going to continue to beat my own drum on this (even, tho, yes I did bring this up and for that I guess I did! LOL. Gulp) BUT this is a subjective take. If hitting Trae Young and his propensity to showboat and talk smack in the proverbial jewels further qualifies Allen, I guess you can just sign me up. Maybe I'm drinking the sauce. Chris Paul notoriously is known for repeatedly punching down there. Not to mention, by every classification, Chris Paul could and is considered a 'dirty' player - ridiculous flopping aside. I guess, I'm just immune to the classifications because I personally don't see it and I don't agree and maybe I'm wearing a pair of nostalgic 'Bad Boys'/Bulls pair of glasses and have natural basketball immunity? LOL. And, well, that's just what it is. But, I'm not going to use a phrase like 'Grayson IS NOT a dirty player.' Not to poke, but, it's a personal take - ie, I think it's subjective. I'll respectfully disagree.
  7. I think one of the fascinating things about this Ibaka deal is the Bucks now have 2 players on their roster Fans continue to believe are Dirty players in Allen and Ibaka. Both players are actually good NBA players. Neither, in my eyes and experiences watching the NBA since the late 1970's, are actually dirty players. And, hence, the Bucks kind of go from the Sweetheart Small Market team with the absolutely amazing feel-good story of Giannis to a Team potentially despised come Playoff time. I think that is hilarious. And, if I'm being honest, I think it's pretty awesome. LOL.
  8. This is a really smart trade for the Bucks. Horsty is a dealer. Remember, we nabbed Grayson with 2 2nd's. The Bucks wheel and deal with those 2nd's like a chicken lays eggs. Ibaka is shooting 39% on 4 3's this season (with no gravity whatsoever from a player like Giannis) is a solid defender and can play the 4 or 5 regardless if Brook comes back. They weren't going to pay DDV in the off-season, apparently, and now get 2 assets to use for future moves. I'll miss DDV - when he was healthy and dialed he was a solid rotational piece - but this is a move they needed to make. We also off-load the empty baggage of Hood and Semi, offset any further Tax implications by accruing cash, and open up 3 roster spots for more flexibility - trades, FA signings, or Buyouts. Horst just deals. I'm a fan of this return.
  9. On 17-20 from the field. An absurd performance. And, he dominated AD again (a broken record these days) and made it look utterly effortless. Bucks fans are SO lucky. I never thought I'd have an opportunity in my lifetime to see something like this in a Bucks uniform. I will never ever take it for granted.
  10. Really hopeful Kylin can come back and take off from where he was pre-injury. Agreed: he looked like an absolute steal. The Packer RB room truly is stacked and that is a beautiful thing. I think, all-in-all, the draft class had a solid first year all things considered. I'm curious to see if they keep Newman inside or kick him out to RT eventually as he gains more strength. He had his ups and downs but improved in the second half of the season. It looks like they should have picked Creed Humphrey - that kid is special...not many rookie Centers are shoe-in Pro Bowl picks. Myers looked fine but Humphrey looked like a perennial All-Pro candidate.
  11. Was it in a dumpster? OMG. This is all just TOO good. Thank you. Thank you. Epic stuff. The Football Gods are speaking it would appear. And, they have a glorious sense of humor. Imagine, just imagine, being a Texans fan in 2022. What is life like?
  12. Straight up the Bucks won't do it hence the counter for an added piece. Giannis and Thanasis are both friends with Dennis, apparently, and the Bucks have a horrendous bench scoring prowess at present. They obviously still need a Big. I'm not really that big a fan of Schroder BUT, alas, this seems to be their current focus.
  13. Wait. The Texans hired Lovie Smith? Oh baby...
  14. Oh goodness...is that the Larry Fitzgerald catch and run for 70 yards first play of OT game? Good God we have a boatload of heartache.
  15. File this under: 'Complaints I still have from the Playoff Loss' Definitely agreed on Dillon and its impact. However, I would like to point out they had a capable Back-up to use in his stead in one Patrick Taylor. He proved himself in Detroit. Had they wanted to ground and pound they still had an option. Like the O-Line choices, I found this to be another case of the Packers Packers-ing themselves. There were basic decisions to be made to give the team a better shot at success - using Taylor OR in the very least trying him on for size after clearly showcasing himself in Detroit (not to mention showing us he had hands); NOT using their O-Line configuration (this still confounds me today); not choosing David Moore to return punts. A-Rod has a better game, none of this matters. BUT, when A-Rod isn't seeing the field and is single-focusing on Davante, these choices really made a difference.
  16. I think Robin will be bought out and he will come to the Bucks after the buyout. That is just speculation by me but I think Robin would come back to the Bucks and I am not sure if there would be a better fit. A Buyout return would be awesome. It’s really the only way I want RoLo joining the Bucks. Giving up any of our limited assets, limited as they may be, still feels like a completely unnecessary overpay. Also, as an aside: Monroe has been entirely surprising since his return. He is moving way better laterally since dropping weight. Not a bad 10 Day pick up so far by any measure.
  17. Bisaccia is Great. No excuses any longer. If they fail after this hire it is time to get the Witch Doctor into Lambeau.
  18. This happened 6.5 years ago...? Yes indeed my friend. I am party to and sharing my Senile moment with my Dad.
  19. Great player. But he passed away in 2015. Are you just bringing him up for the heck of it? Oh man. Yeah. This is TOO funny. I am working and on break and I got a random text from my Dad. I actually had a double take moment after I posted…”Haven’t I had the Moses Malone convo w him before?!?” Sure enough. His response to me: “My bad. I just saw a headline and shared with You.”
  20. Also, man Takeover Jrue Holiday showed up last night in LA (which had a crazy big Bucks fan base in their building which was awesome). Again, he proves why he is definitively One of the most overlooked players in the NBA. It makes no sense. His step back this year has been lights out. He single-handedly killed the Clippers run when they knocked the game to single digits from down 20 into the 4th qtr.
  21. I think the general sentiment ‘should’ be: If RoLo is DDV’s depreciated current value we just as well should hold onto DDV. RoLo is fine as a Big body. I surely wouldn’t want to give up a depreciated asset in DDV for him tho. Just my opinion, of course.
  22. RIP Moses Malone. One of Dad’s favorite All-Time players. He had a cup of coffee stint with the Bucks and, man, he was still awesome. He had an Old Man game for dayyyyys. Passed in his sleep while attending a golf tourney with former teammate Calvin Murphy. I’ll tip one to you tonight, Moses. And, I’ll fondly recall the day my Pops and I ran into you at ‘The Big Table Restaurant’. My Pops was absolutely Starstruck. I never saw him that way before or since. You were a true Legend in his eyes.
  23. Apparently, the Bucks might have an offer on the table for Dennis Schröder. (https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/nba-trade-deadline-rumors-intel-james-harden-ben-simmons-harrison-barnes-2022) If true, I am unsure if I'm enthused about this move. There seems to be a reason Dennis is repeatedly sent packing. He has offensive talent, but he also is a wee bit of a chucker. It would have to depend on what else is going on in the proposed trade (if it is even on the table). And, obviously, they need a back-up Big they can depend on in the post-season. These 10 days are fine and all but they certainly don't accomplish anything meaningful if Brook has setbacks. Going to be an interesting Deadline and Buy-Out period for the Buckaroos. They don't have much to work with in terms of contracts, players, and assets and are $157M in the Salary Tax. But, they can find some integral pieces in the margins.
  24. This interview is must watch for the Brewer aficionado. Smallsy has an incredibly good head on his shoulder. I came away highly impressed. They had a great dive into what the process of getting to the Dominican League was like and what it's like down there for a youngster - first time facing highly evolved bats, short leashes, and fast-paced Spanish slang. He describes seeing the bullpen up after 10 pitches into a Start after giving up a lead off double.
  25. Yeah, the 'Shuckin' Around' podcast - for being entirely new - has been incredible. These interviews are lights out good. VERY very in-depth questions. He is wonderful. The in depth analysis of Ethan Small prior to his interview was already very intriguing. Can't wait to hear the interview 1 v 1. That share about thinking Small's changeup was a curve due to its massive difference in speed was hilarious.
