  1. UPDATE: RHP Coleman Crow is scheduled to come off the Nashville IL tomorrow night and debut! Let's GO!
  2. Garcia is greeted with a lead-off Beloit homer over the LF wall in the bottom of the second on a high heater. 1-0 Sky Carp.
  3. Hard to imagine a better rehab debut for Cortes. Six up. Six down. 4 K. Sitting 89-93 on the four-seamer. He is dropping his arm slot in pitcher's counts. Doing Nestor things. Pounding the zone. Ahead every batter. 29 pitches through 2 IP. Target is 50 pitches.
  4. Sounds strand two in their first. Vaughn BB. Dalbec 106 mph single had runners on the corners with two down. Black flies out to right CF.
  5. K looking on Luken Baker to end his first inning. Looking sharp. Wonder how he'll mix it up from here.
  6. Touches 92 and 93 in consecutive four-seamers. He has thrown all four-seam and one cutter.
  7. LHP Nestor Cortes begins his rehab outing with a first AB strikeout. All low 90's four-seamers. Velo looks the same it ever is. Sitting a tick above 91 mph.
  8. Groundout to 2B ends the threat. I've definitely seen Bryant sharper of late. With stuff as good and as violent as his it's quite easy to be just off. On to the 9th.
  9. Sac Fly to LF. 7-4 Shuckers. Man on 1B. Two down.
  10. Sac Fly to RF. 7-3. Runner advances to 3rd. Runners on the corners. One down.
  11. He was ahead 1-2 to the next batter. It's now a 3-2 count. Next pitch fouled back. Following pitch fouled back. Then he is absolutely squeezed (yet again) on a beautiful breaking ball. Man, gotta reward that pitch with strike 3 looking. Well, upon rewatch: that was indeed just a tad high and inside. Just missed. Bases juiced. Nobody out for Bryant who is clearly struggling with his command. Ruh roh.
  12. I think the double-header is just all in the same thread, no?
  13. Bryant leads off his 8th with a 1-2 muscle single into CF. He follows with a 3-2 walk. Men on 1st and 2nd. Nobody out. Shuckers still lead 7-2.
  14. AND, the homeplate umpire took a foul ball off his mask. He is being pulled. The 3B ump has gone into the locker room to put the homeplate gear on. We are in a delay in Pensacola.
  15. Yeah I saw the weather delay. Doesn't look good eh?
  16. Lara gets plenty of Love. He's widely considered the best pure young OF prospect in the system. He's had a really nice season after a slow start.
  17. Spain works out of an 0-2 count fighting off his kyrptonite - low off-speed in the dirt - for a foul tip (just barely). Lays off an outside off-speed. Ropes a two-rbi single to shallow left CF. Miller had advanced via 2B. 7-2 Shuckers baby! Let's GO!
  18. Zavi grounds out hard to 2B with the infield in. Boeve holds. Miller walks. Men on the corners. One down. New pitcher coming aboard. Spain to the dish who has taken some massive hacks in a current 0-for game one.
  19. Boeve rips a triple past the diving CF'er Sasaki. He sold out but the ball dipped beneath his glove in the full out dive. 5-2 Shuckers baby. Boeve on 3rd. Nobody out. Boeve just hits in Pensacola.
  20. Pratt lead-off double. The bullpen hilariously and emphatically points to the 3B ump and calls it fair. Man on 2nd. Nobody out top of 8.
  21. Wait a moment. I'm apparently a noob. They are playing two nine inning tilts? Hokay then. They are definitely going to the 8th. 4-2 Shuckers. Peterson gets the fly out to left CF to end his third inning of scoreless work.
  22. AND the homeplate ump squeezes Peterson with two down in the 7th. Predictable like the sun rising and setting.
  23. Man, that really chaps my hide. A lone out XBH is taken away. Murray K's looking, instead, on a 3-2 heater on the outer black. The Shuckers will have to work around at least the third botched call against them and hodl tight to their 4-2 lead. That was truly just such an embarrassingly poor call from the ump crew. The entire Shuckers bullpen knew it. Legitimately the fourth time (?) I've heard the Wahoos announcers say: Well, video certainly indicates that call went against the Shuckers. LOL.
  24. Of course. The umps stay foul. What a joke. That's at least the third call blatantly wrong and against the Shuckers.
  25. Umps are conferencing. That ball was fair by a foot. Unbelievably poor call. LOL. Let's see if this crew can manage to amend this overt mistake. My guess is they don't given how this game has been called repeatedly against the Shuckers.
