  1. That Hedbert shoulder injury awhile back came as he was bordering on triggering a scorching run. It's a testament to where he is as a player that he is bouncing back to real relevance in such short order from his return. He could become a reliable corner outfielder if he could fine tune and shore up the lackadaisical moments. He has more than enough arm. He just has these inexplicable moments from time-to-time that leave me befuddled. 😅
  2. <Is this thing on?! Mic check. Check 1. Check 2> It isn't official. We have to keep in mind things can change. BUT I am hearing whispers from the land of the Saguaro: -2B Josh Adamczewski is tentatively scheduled to appear in the ACL Brewers line up tonight Let us gather hands and pray...
  3. Trent at a mere $400,000 more than Prince is nuts to me. Incredible value.
  4. And, they just can't help themselves. In a vacuum Prince on a minimum deal is fine - he is an elite shooter. BUT, the context here: another PO and Glenn Rivers is your HC. Glenn likes to view Prince as a starting 2. If this move came with an intelligent HC, I'd be completely neutral. As things stand today, I wish they had moved on. Not a lot of creativity here whatsoever. Don't trust the HC to have any clue of how to properly use this player.
  5. I have to say, I like both these deals for the Bucks of Milwaukee. Bobby was a ridiculously favorable deal (given the Market). I don't like the Player Option but the Bucks almost always sweeten their deals with 'PO's'. Is what it is. This is essentially a 1 year deal. Given KPJ's talent level and what he offers the Bucks in particular, not a lot to dislike regardless at that price.
  6. It appears so! Just posted this in the transaction thread. Romero is spot on with this stuff:
  7. Romero tends to be very much in the know when it comes to the Brewers:
  8. There were a lot of technical issues back then. The internet had just been invented. AI hack swarms. Solar flares. Plastic surgery and surgical implants (popular in fringe sports forums) impacted my fingers for weeks right around the time of the Priester trade, for example. A lot of my "This is really good value!" thoughts turned into two months of doom and gloom. Crazy!
  9. Hats off to old friend RHP Adrian Houser for doing 'Bernie's Work' today in hodling the Giants scoreless. Chi Sox lead those pesky Bay Ballers 1-0 after eight complete.
  10. BUMP ** All negative posts from my account possibly within this thread are retracted. My 7-year-old hacked my account** 🥸
  11. Let the Championship run commence: (Yes, I am aware the account is very much unsourced and this is likely a joke post)
  12. When you watch Seigler play regularly you just learn to really appreciate what he brings. He is a net positive impact across the board. Agreed on the improved defense from 3B - definitely has the arm...it's a bit of a cannon. He brings a scrappiness. He brings immense skill. He brings an upbeat smile to the game. As manager Rick Sweet has now said on more than one occasion: "We call these types of players 'Outdoor Cats'." In other words: Seigler is a born natural old school baseball player.
  13. Currently he's been playing LF over 2B at a 2:1 clip. It certainly appears, early at least, those are his primaries. I have no idea from there. The lack of ACL video, unfortunately, renders these types of questions mysteries. He certainly seems to have a little bit of get up and go in those legs. I think the logical next question might be does he have the arm or movement profile to try 3B? Does he offer anything of note at 1B?
  14. Does anyone else find it mildly comical 3B Coby Mayo's 1st Big League HR came against a position player in a blow out? I chortled. Go Brewers!
  15. The Ghost of DSL Summers Past has reared its ahead across the system this week. Maybe caught some of those Gulf Coast winds and went continental.
  16. Nashville and The Muddies getting smoked. Yowza. Nash still No Hit in the 7th trailing 12-0. Outhit 14-0. I do believe we would classify this as a 'walloping'.
  17. I am pretty stoked for Bogi at 47. Hard to root against a 19-yo Big Man efficiently playing 29 mpg for KK Mega. Really hard to root against that. He can pass. He can shoot. He grew up a PG so he can dribble and see the floor. That is real competition and it's pick 47. Also quite happy to have Sears on a Two-Way for SL games alone. Having a guard who can actually get into the lane in multiple ways is huge in that environment.
  18. OK. Second pitch of the bottom of the fourth inning. Walther took a foul ball directly off the top of his throwing hand. Good gracious. Directly onto the top of his hand. 2:28:02 on the replay for those interested. That ball caroms smack dab off the top of his knuckles. Just brutal. He tried a couple warm-up pitches to the mound. Stanley saw him air mail his last throw high and over the left side of the mound and motioned to the dugout. Good grief.
  19. They are in a weather delay in the top of the 6th. T-Rats trail 1-0. Fantastic bounce back performance from LHP Sam Garcia - 5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 1 ER, 1 HR, 6 K.
  20. The answer to my thread title is a resounding 'YES'. Hernandez is just coming on! I LOVE it! Muddies lead 8-0. Lot of contributions including Tyler Rodriguez's first HR at Low-A. C Yannic Walther does appear to have exited early in the bottom of the 4th for an 'Injury Delay'? I'll have to go back and look. That was before a pitch was thrown in the inning.
