  1. Warren has struck out 3 times tonight. Also has a walk. He has 6 K so far in this series. He has worked the count to 2-2. Big moment here.
  2. Lara lines out to right CF. Runners stay. Pratt hits a jam shot ground out to 2B. Runners advance. Boeve falls behind 0-2. Tough lefty-on-lefty match-up. Sidearmer here. Works the count full after fouling off several pitches. Takes low for a walk. Heck of an AB there. Sheesh. Bases juiced.
  3. Murray falls behind 0-2 to start his 10th (Restituyo is Manfred's Man on 2B) and works the count for a walk. Two men on. Nobody out for Lara.
  4. AND, hey why not just K the 9th in 1,2,3,4 fashion. Works around the two out walk. Gets the K swinging on an inside swooping off-speed offering. Glorious.
  5. Gotta love a dialed in LHP Mark Manfredi. Three consecutive K's. One to end the 8th. Two to start the 9th. Exercise those demons, Mr. Manfredi!! He had 5 ER in 3.0 previous innings vs the Clingstones.
  6. Man the Darrien Miller AB's tonight have been back to that vintage Miller swinging under and not barrelling anything AB's. Just rough looks.
  7. Yup. That last AB was truly beautiful. It didn't result in anything but Di Turi hit a liner and it was just right where that RF was parked and he was not deep. Made also had a heck of a reach poke liner single to left CF in an 0-2 count. Hard not to be incredibly impressed with that entire sequence. I will also state: I need that Handelfry Low-A debut like I need air. 😅
  8. Great great job by RHP Garrett Hodges to put that Muddies 'W' in the quiver. Just completely calmed things down after Nova's wee bit of spazzy work. Again, Nova absolutely has some nice tools in that kit. Has to calm down the rough edges. You can't uncork fastballs in the dirt in pick-off attempts. You can not leave heaters belt high over the heart of the plate repeatedly. Gotta locate with more precision and poise. BUT, I actually like the raw tools.
  9. Hey, I know José Anderson had the three-run jack earlier. BUT, that AB he worked down 0-2 facing a reliever who had mowed down Peña and Bitonti for a nine-pitch walk may have been his best professional AB we've seen stateside. Just fought off several very tough pitches. Laid off some pitches. It was gorgeous. Man, I could get used to that approach.
  10. Hodges goes K, fly out to LF, and K looking. Glorious 95 mph heater on the upper corner of the zone to grab that final K. He brought the heater, the change-up, and the slider to fantastic results that whole inning. Let's hope he can give his club 2 IP. 5-4 as we head to the top of the 9th. Muddies lead.
  11. Nova has stuff. He really does. Let's just say ye ol 'rough around the edges'. He's a stallion that needs to be broken in kind of deal. Yeah, that's it.
  12. Nova has now launched a pick-off throw down the RF line past Bitonti. He now has thrown a ball into CF. Had the lead runner at 2B dead to rights. He uncorks a total spaz throw again. That runner had reached on a walk after Nova was ahead 0-2. The Shorebirds 4th run score on a groundout on a result of his inability to throw with control to the bases. Can't be doing that.
  13. Ordonez does not have any kind of arm to 2B. Floaters each and every one. Just doesn't have the throw to get there.
  14. Ye' ol Bitonti/Anderson double steal. An American classic loved throughout these beautiful lands.
  15. Indeed. Murray is pretty much a defensive savant anywhere he plays on the diamond. Absolutely has the cannon arm to cover the hot corner. Absolutely has the glove to play any position on the infield dirt. It's just wonderful to see him rediscover that bat from 2023. I will not let go of the fact he was pushing himself through some injuries last season. I feel for him. THIS is the real Murray we are seeing in 2025.
  16. Nova has some stuff. A pretty filthy hard slider. He can touch mid-90's on the heater. Just has to work on execution and location. Gets the ground out to Made at SS. Has a K. Gets the jam shot weak ground out to 3B to close his frame. There is stuff to work with here.
  17. And now he fires a ball in the dirt down the RF wall. Man, this is something. LOL.
  18. Nova is just throwing these heaters dead center. He is followed with a first pitch single to CF on the same heater.
  19. Welp, Nova led off his third batter with a dead center heater and the Shorebirds now trail 5-3. Two run bomb over the RF wall. 105 mph off that bat. Not a wall scraper.
  20. 7-of-12 HR on his season have come against the Shuckers. It's amazing.
  21. Wow. Murray leads off the sixth inning with a backside 1-2 oppo bomb over the RF wall to immediately tie the game 3-3. What a poke.
  22. Well, that three-run one out bomb to LF was not fun from RHP K.C. Hunt. Another walk - this one came back to haunt him. Just a moon shot that may have gone over the LF foul pole. Shuckers trail 3-2 as they head to the 6th.
  23. I just have to say: I absolutely love the season 3B Filippo Di Turi is putting together. He has really turned himself into a serious prospect in 2025.
