  1. I don't want to make a big deal out of this considering he just got here, but Jansen not being in the lineup against lefties is a crime and I will be quite upset if this becomes a pattern
  2. 130 wRC+ vs LHP gives you some options vs left handers and sitting Contreras more often. For a prospect that was pretty easily blocked and a swing that may not translate. Hard to be mad at an easy upgrade like this
  3. Does anyone have the brewers ranked inside the new BP mid season top 50?
  4. Rosario is a lefty and the only reason Cameron is on the roster is because hes a righty. Dalbec makes much more sense
  5. Good to see Peña showing up on a publication like that.
  6. I just tuned in to watch this and came here to figure out what was going on? Disappointing. Mudcats might be more fun to watch than the major league team right now
  7. Game is free to watch on mlb.tv too
  8. They don’t want him on this roster though. Something is going to give there soon
  9. They really needed to find some kind of player besides Durbin in the infield. Just some kind of flyer on someone. And I'm really shocked it didn't happen because they've done some opportunistic depth moves in positions they looked weak in, in the past (Bauers last year for example). C- for me. Sidenote... Although likely washed and it seems like he's limiting the teams he wishes to go to, Nolan Arenado with the cardinals eating the majority of his contract would fit pretty well. But obviously seems like no chance.
  10. This org has so many MLB level relievers right now. Ashby/Peguero/Miz/Yoho/Paredes/Milner all in AAA/Rehab/IL, Good problem to have just hard to figure out which ones should be up
  11. Is Yoho ok? 2 pitch outing. Maybe just wanted him to get them out of an inning.
  12. Yeah, feels like the FO was out on Wiemer and wanted to clear his 40 man spot. So Junis vs Montas for the rest of the year. Must feel better about the ability to get more innings out of Montas but whew, it doesn't look great. See how he performs
  13. Joey Ortiz looks like a controllable 3 win player that is going to go up when he moves to SS. Not counting either Hall or Burke, a player like that is extremely valuable. Minor League chat not the place to litigate this, but it's hard to be anything but happy with that outcome.
  14. Whew, I did not realize how good of a season Bitoni is having. 151 wrc+ in 200 PAs, 437 obp! Definitely fueled by a high babip but that'll happen when you hit the ball hard. Guessing he'll be with the Mudcats when the ACL seasons ends?
  15. Organizational sweep on draft day is a good omen in my book
  16. I haven't been following the minors as close as I'd like to this season. Just glanced at the Carolina box score. How are these guys 16 games over 500? I understand Pratt is at the futures game but they have just 3 guys over a 700 ops in the lineup. Good pitching/fielding? Kind of shocking to see, lol
  17. Moving him around day to day is really interesting. Almost closer to a spencer steer type of player where he plays a bunch of positions but isn't good at any of them. I suppose that might be useful and get him in the lineup. Does feel like his trade chances are increasing though
  18. Does anyone have the full baseball america updated top 30 they could post here?
  19. No point in speculating but I'm going to do it anyway. I feel like Black getting scratched almost has to be an injury of his own? They would have known before the lineup came out if someone on the big league club was injured with an off day today. Don't feel great about this
  20. The interesting thing about the Dodgers this year is definitely their pitching inexperience. Kershaw would (likely) start game 1, and Roberts announced that rookie Bobby Miller would start one of the first two games in a series, so 2nd. After that, it's pretty unknown. Probably some kind of bulk/opener games involving Yarbrough and Lynn? It will be interesting to see how they construct their staff for the postseason and it's definitely something that could be vulnerable. Obviously getting ahead of ourselves with having to win the WC round, but I don't think the Brewers chances would be too terrible in a series.
  21. I wish I was as good at something as Tyler Black is at drawing walks.
  22. Is Owen Miller going to be the bat Sept. callup? Seems like all the other options are in the lineup. Which, I don't think would be the case if they were coming up?
  23. Heavily cherrypicked, but coming into today Black had been hitting 313/405/594 since August 16th(8 full games, day of his first AAA homer). He started today with a single as well. He's settled in nicely and I think he might be knocking on that door..
  24. Can’t wait for this company to go under
