  1. Well, the Twins managed to play like garbage and pull out a win, let's see the Brewers do the same. Step one: stop playing like garbage, please.
  2. The problem with using DRS here is that Taylor played the overwhelming number of innings at a corner spot. Put Cain at a corner spot for 800 innings and his numbers would be through the roof.
  3. It's because you don't give up on veterans without giving them due process. Tyrone Taylor is a bad defensive centerfielder and that will cost the Brewers runs over the course of a season. You don't hand him the keys without finding out whether Cain is truly cooked.
  4. Did you switch your email to OOO and then come right back here? ?
  5. I'm not super-impressed with myself for being right about that call.
  6. Took the walk anyway. But now it's bases loaded, no outs. This is exactly where the Cards want the Brewers (unfortunately).
  7. I don't get sitting on 3-0 there. Handed advantage, team struggling to score runs, swing away if it's your pitch.
  8. Okay, order flipped, NEED to put runs on the board here.
  9. I'm kinda done watching one-run losses to the primary division rival.

  10. Umpiring is rarely as bad as IGTs believe because if umpiring was actually that bad, the umpire wouldn't be in MLB (yes, this even applies to Angel Hernandez... well, okay maybe not him). But still, a .75 run swing in a one-run game is not great. Sometimes, only missing a few calls can be really detrimental to a team if you miss the wrong calls.
  11. I suspect they'll roll out an entirely new app to download. It makes the most sense.
  12. I’ve spent the last two nights flipping between Twins/Guardians and Brewers/Cards before flipping off the TV in disgust. I’m ready for a change of pace, thanks.
  13. Good divisional breakdown. Maybe it’s just my imagination but fewer front office types seem to be as scared to swap in-division as older FO generations were.
  14. The retrospective of the 1989 Brewers continues as we take a look at the relievers that season, led by Mark Knudson and Chuck Crim (71 appearances, 117 innings pitched in relief... ah, old baseball). Then we flip into a perfectly-late-80s defensive montage with what I'm pretty sure is the music from a boss level of Super Mario World for Super Nintendo. The final segment is the 20th anniversary Brewers team, which highlighted many of the greats from those early 80s Crew teams.

  16. Okay, I’ll download FF for iPhone and give it a whirl.
  17. After Effectively Wild did a short bit on the history of Pham's lunacy, hard pass on him.
  18. It's awesome to see all these things collated in the same place. I've read and looked into a lot of this stuff but mostly piecemeal.

  20. Yeah, need a higher tier to get Bally. The package that is right around $90.
  21. I used Hulu TV and YouTube TV when they offered Fox Sports channels and the interfaces are so vastly superior to DTV Stream that it’s embarrassing. Particularly YouTube TV.
  22. Ah, so that's how that happened. I knew there was a switch but never knew why.
  23. I currently pay DirecTV Stream over $90/mo to watch Twins games for a TERRIBLE app experience so count me in the group that isn't outraged by this price. I'll even buy multiple team packages if they allow out-of-market purchases and it's still way cheaper than DirecTV Stream.
