  1. Durbin taking very different approaches to baseball with those two swings.
  2. Indeed, it is Tyroneeeeee.
  3. Baseball is a profoundly stupid game and I love it.
  4. Indeed. I'm moving things around a bit this year, trying new stuff. So we had a year-end ranking in... October, maybe? Anyway, my thinking is that nothing (almost nothing, really) changes from Oct-Apr. So instead of doing a spring training vote, I'm pushing that vote back to late April so we get to capture some data from the prospects at their new levels and then vote on it.
  5. Pretty sure Turang's BABIP just rose to 1.100.
  6. As we gear up for another season of Brewers baseball, it's time to look at the community members who made Brewer Fanatic great over the winter. Hello again, Brewers fans! Twice a year, I sit down and find the most popular posts and blogs on Brewer Fanatic and their creators receive prizes for their contributions to the sprawling behemoth that is Brewer Fanatic. While this offseason wasn't as action-packed as previous winters, there was still a lot to talk about. We look at the most popular posts and most popular blogs created by our users. Let's dive into the most popular content of the offseason. Most Popular Post In a post celebrating Brice Turang's Gold Glove win, @Jastro snuck in and created the most popular post of the offseason by announcing that Brice not only won a Gold Glove but gets to put the elusive Platinum Glove alongside it on his mantle. Congratulations to Jastro and as a prize, you get this cool box of 1988 Topps baseball cards! Will you pull a Joey Meyer card? Let us know! To claim your prize, private message @Brock Beauchamp with your mailing address! Most Popular Post Runner-Up The second-most popular post of the offseason was in the thread none of us wanted to create or read: the passing of Brewers legend Bob Uecker. In this post, @OldSchoolSnapper wrote a nice note (as did many others) about Uecker and his life. Almost all of us connected to Uecker and his voice on some level and his passing was a rough time in Crew fandom. Most Popular Blog Post While technically this happened *before* the offseason started, it still gathered the most reads of any blog post over the winter, accruing well in excess of 3,000 reads by Brewers fans. In this entry, @Stealofhome looks at the correlation between spending on payroll and likelihood of winning the World Series. It's a great read, which explains why it was the most popular blog post of the winter. For their great work, Stealofhome takes... home... this prize, a sweet Woody bobblehead. Thanks for the blog entry and private message @Brock Beauchamp with your address so I can mail you this bobble! Most Prolific Poster Now it's time to celebrate the best of us. The person who furiously types comments and collects hearts like madman. The most prolific poster of the winter goes to @sveumrules! Thank you for being such an important part of this community and bringing so much to it! That's all we have for the offseason, everyone! Once again, thank you to all the members of this community who keep it vibrant and hopping 365 days a year. And here's to a successful campaign for the 2025 Brewers! WIN ONE FOR UECK! 8. And just like that, the Brewers are back to .500.
